The only thing, I don't know if someone has already reported it, but if you download it in a language other than English the second command changes according to the language (for example if you download it in Italian you will have to run: setup /configure configurazione.xml).

I have a Windows 11 laptop PC and used to have Office 365 on it, but upgraded to Office 2021 recently on it, I bought a permanent license, and love the new Office program
This guy's a Life Saver! Let me explain: So yesterday my teachers gave us the Term 2 projects. So I needed Power Point to make the presentations but when I opened them, its was showing that it is unlicensed and I can only read them. After that i saw tutorials on RUclips and nothing worked. But I saw this guy's video, tried it out and it actually worked! If it wouldn't have fixed, then my dad would KILL me! So ya, a BIG thank you to this guy.

You are the best, man! Thank you so much. Just trying to find a way to use excel without having to get a monthly subscription to 365 was becoming a nightmare until i stumbled upon this video! I can't believe how straight forward and easy to understand this was. Most instructional/tutorial videos these days are 20-30 mins long and give you a bunch of info you don't want or need and usually skip over the stuff you do need to help you, and if they do cover what you need, it's so over worded, complicated and hard to understand what they are even explaining. Especially when it comes to computer stuff. It's like people just like listening to themselves talk a lot more these days. Over explaining a bunch of nonsense that doesn't help all while trying to sound smart. But you sir, are the true genius with a tutorial like this. Subscribed for life. I don't care if I never watch one of your videos again. You're the man!
Did it actually worked? I mean don’t you have to sign in your Microsoft account in office? Because if you don’t have the subscription from your account it won’t work. So does it actually work and how?

For everyone who can´t do it, remember CMD gives instructions to your pc, so something must be written in the wrong language. For example setup /configure configuration.xml didn't work so I went to the folder we are working with (office 2021) and realized that the archive configuration.xml was downloaded in the language I choose, in my case spanish (it was written as configuración.xml). Then i went to cmd and wrote setup /configure configuración.xml as it was in the folder and it worked!!!!

This is amazing. But I had an issue with the path when I was running command in cmd. Since I live I Germany so the spelling for configuration is different “Konfiguration”. And if you are having the same issue just rename it with “Configuration“ once you download the two files in the start. It works smoothly.

Thank you. For germans: you have to deinstall microsoft 365 and all old versions of office bevore doing this. Also change the second cmd command to "setup /configure Konfiguration.xml" because the english version of configuration isnt working

If it doesn't work after you execute the commands in the prompt (4:24), check the language you chose: if it's not english, change the word "configuration" of the second command, and rewrite it in the language you chose. ;)

If you have microsoft office lite 2016 uninstall it at control pannel then try again

I followed this and it works however people should be aware that if you have had a previous version of Office installed, and this installer uninstalls it for you, when the new version of Outlook configures itself it will not remap all email addresses. Mine has only mapped the first one in my old outlook.
