- I head down to the Tiny A Frame to spend a night out in the woods. We hike through the property, taking a look at some of the large trees and the creek. Rylie drops by for a little while and I make a delicious egg scramble in the kitchenette. It's a peaceful night of calm, relaxation at the cabin.

This is my local getaway cabin 👍🏽 it’s on 8 acres in the Twin Cities area of MN. We have a portable cabin on wheels as well as a rustic cabin up north

Consider a large tv tray that folds down flat to use as a table next to your bed. Put the cutting board on it, prepare the food, fold it and store flat under the bed or along a wall. Takes up almost no space and super convenient.

Love going to the cabin with you both or just when you and Ellie go. So quiet and beautiful country. We had a family cabin for 50 years sold it a few years ago but wonderful memories fires inside were the best and the food and coffee tastes way better than at home. @@TinyCabinLife suggestion, cut some fresh pine boughs and lay outside door, making mat, if get covered in snow, can just shake off, when get old, can just burn....but gives nice place to knock off snow on boots, not tracking in house.

I love the calls of owls too. I am in KY, in the city but within woods, and I hear their calls here during winter. Sounds so soothing. One night coming home in the dark, my headlights landed on an owl with a caught critter in his mouth down in the road. It was so cool.

love your cabin! cabins this size are in my humble opinion, are perfect for so many reasons- ease of building and upkeep, simple set up and very easy to care for. plus, low impact. I had a one person cabin here in maine, loved it. easy to heat and use any time of the year. nothing like being in your cabin when the snow comes!

Your videos definitely make me miss the northwoods of MN. I used to claim that all our neighbors had either 4 legs or wings and that was pretty accurate. We lived on a forestry road and there was only one other house about 1/4 mile further down the road. We constantly had all manner of wildlife from wolves and black bear to the smallest squirrels, owls, and weasels. And we loved them all. After all they were there first and let us live in their home.
It’s pretty magical up there for sure 🙏🏽 I’m super grateful to get to spend time all around MN. Glad I could bring back some memories

Soooo awesome watching for my first time. I was inspired couple pieces of chain pieces forMicah or wood and a couple hinges with magnets would put a cooking cutting eating table area that you could bring down off of the wall when you need and take up no space I just love your A place

Owls are awesome! One thing I would do. Given the space, I would do all my meal prep at home. That way when you get to the cabin all you have to do is cook. Same for your cabin on the trailer.

It is lovely to go in the forest and stay in this little cabin... and really... there is everything that you need... the only thing I would add is a wide and thick board for food prepping on the bed to make the area to be more stable (you could store the board outside and use inside as needed)... Nice video...

For a “table”.
Get a piece of plywood about 18”x 36”.
( or whatever similar size that’s handy)
Round the corners and sand the edges.
Some polyurethane could make cleanup easy.
Lay it on the bed for the “table”.
Slide it under the mattress when not needed.
Doesn’t really take up space.

I love little cabins like this, in all honesty you can actually buy little cabins now a days the only problem is the land to put them on.
a little 10x12 cottage is about 8k add in a cast iron wood stove for 1k and 9k has you a really nice place to camp at

What a blessing to have such a neat place! We have owls too most nights, they're beautiful! We're in a suburb of Kansas City, No but still have fox and deer, etc. We hope to get some property soon we can build a small homestead on.
