- Just one week after a huge blizzard came through the Midwest, we get a freezing rainstorm, snowfall and sleet all within 24 hours! My golden retriever Ellie and I head down to the cabin to experience the weather and take care of some chores around the cabin.

When you asked Ellie if it was good I half expected her to nod.
In my neck of the woods I would have assumed that a raccoon hauled that turkey carcass up the tree so it could gnaw on it away from coyotes.
I've had freezing rain so heavy that pine branches that are usually 7-8 feet off the ground be frozen to the ground in the morning.
Rain on a tin roof and a wee tot of rum and I'm out like a light!

Funny thing about Nature, when it;s pouring rain or a huge snowstorm, you don't want to be outside in it but, it relaxes you inside a cabin watching the snow fall or blizzard or listening to the rain hitting your metal roof. You know you are secure in your little spot. Thanks for shatin.

I grew up in WA state and we def got more sleet than snow. def a land up there of ice and glaciers. It’s one reason I don’t love the cold weather. Rather snow than sleet. God has been good to southern Iowa this winter. It has not seemed like winter at all. 8 inches of snow then 45+ degrees the next few days. Excited for you to experience your baby. My youngest is now 27!
