this was one of my favorite episodes of the season. the chemistry between Nida and Gaap was off the charts good and kept me intrigued the entire time. I heard that this episode was a teaser of sorts for a new series to come called Red Mirror that deals with more supernatural stories. I hope that's the case because I'd love to get more stories like this, for sure. it's great to see Black Mirror evolving into something different and keeping itself fresh. thanks for your reactions to this season guys!

My favorite episode of the new season. The chemistry between the two leads us crazy good. It manages to mix some good laughs with the murderous sprees. Plus, I love the ending. I want to know what adventures the two of them get up to in Oblivion.
I usually complain when horror just kills off unlikable characters because it's not really scary so much as violent gratification but this episode does it SO WELL. They place the horror for this entire season in just how easily humans can be corrupted and how that spirals out of control. The horror isn't in the killing but the character development.
Violent gratification on it's own is pretty scary cause it can say a lot about humanity. Public executions lynching mob justice are all pretty horrifying things.
The Indian actress is famous for being an unsuspecting killer/assassin in season 3 of "Killing Eve". You should do "Killing Eve" it's an award winning show about female assassins.

I think its cause charlie brooker (the creator) did say that he wanted to try explore supernatural stories more, which on a second watch i think is now more noticeable since this season seemed to transition from futuristic scifi to period supernatural by each episodes. Also demon 79 is sort of like a test for Red Mirror to see if people would actually want that
I greatly enjoyed season 6. I don't mind the shift away from technology because the essence of the show isn't "Wow look at this cool tech" but "Look how people are fucked up (through a technological lens)" imo. Also thought this was leagues better than season 5, Striking Vipers is my least favorite Black Mirror episode, Smithereens is ok and Rachel, Jack And Ashley Too is the only one I enjoyed quite a bit. That being said, here's my season 6 ranking : 1. Loch Henry 2. Joan Is Awful 3. Beyond The Sea & Demon 79 (I like them both equally tbh) 5. Mazey Day, least favorite but I still enjoyed the message and thought it was decent, at least better than Striking Vipers and The Waldo Moment imo

i was the most scared to watch this cuz of the preview cuz i don't do well with scary movies. but i really liked this one. the demon was so funny. and i don't think it was romantic. they went through stuff together and had a chemistry that didn't necessarily have to be romantic. i've held hands with guy friends walking like that... we didn't look that epic though 🥴
Just had to pipe up to agree with you guys. Taste is different for everyone. All my friends liked him and 79 the best but for me it’s the worst one along with Macy day I get that they’re mimicking a style of film but I just really don’t like those kind of films so I totally agree with you Loch Henry it was the best by far. Then beyond the sea then Joan is Awful.
