    I had a 2018 Kicks which I traded for a used 2022 last year. I love the original design, though it had a few things I wished were better. The 2025 model seems to have ticked all of those boxes though.
    I saw one in person yesterday and my first impression was that it looks much bigger than the original model. I'm guessing that's a plus but I had no issues with the older model's size. I like that the Bose headrest speakers are on both front seats now rather then just the driver's side. The flat cargo area with hidden storage is a nice touch as well. The AWD option is a nice improvement too. I hope it doesn't hurt the mileage too much. I took a long leisurely drive in my 2022 today and got over 38MPG!
    The one quibble I had on mine was that the painted markings wore off on the steering wheel buttons. My 2018 buttons were mostly white plastic by the time I traded it. The cruise control is really good so I normally only use those buttons to control my speed. that puts a lot of wear on them. On my 2022 Kicks I covered the buttons with some clear packing tape to protect them. It looks a bit odd, but at least they will remain painted. The 2025 model seems to have the same basic buttons so I expect they will have the same issue.
    I'd love to trade up if I can figure out how to afford it. I'm an older retired dude so I'm not exactly rich.

    Our mechanic told us this beats the Chevy Trax to heck and he knows he'll be making money from Trax owners.
    I test drove the 2025 Kicks the other day and I love it. Now AWD is available. I'm definitely going to buy one ss its so Sporty and perfect size for me!!

      Many Chevy Trax owners have reported various problems.
      The Nissan Kicks should be very reliable. The engine has been used in the Sentra for years and is just about bulletproof. Nissan's current CVTs have been improved and have been proving much more reliable than the old Jatcos.
      An added bonus if you choose the awd version is you also get an independent rear multilink suspension for better ride and handling.

    Nissan missed the boat, compared to Mazda’s smallest suv with 186 hp as a base engine and a turbo option of 250 hp. The kicks measly 141 hp is a joke.

      Just remember anything with a turbo is less reliable because it creates extra heat inside the engine. You really have to be on top of your oil changes and no cheap oil.

      You referring to the 2nd generation Kicks as one similar to the model that came out in 2019 that had slightly refreshed taillights, LED lights (SR), and reduced hp numbers (2019-21 was 125hp 115 lb-ft torque. 2022-24 was 122hp 114 lb-ft torque)? I still call it the first generation as that was a refresh. The new 2025 is the 2nd generation to me.

    • @JT-fq2bl
      @JT-fq2bl 3 месяца назад +4

      The Kicks no longer compete with the Trax. It's now a Trailblazer competitor. Many of you so-called enthusiasts forgot the subcompact CUV class is split into 2 groups: entry and premium. Entry CUVs are usually built to a price point that forego power and AWD for features and fuel economy. These vehicles are the Trax, Envista, Soul, and Venue. Some AWD CUVs fit in the category due to a car company having 2 AWD vehicles Outlander Sport/Eclipse Cross and Renegade/Compass.
