@@jakejohnson718 monsoon can throw like 6 at your in quick succession (1.5sec delay) and some of them can pass over your blade mode range and still hit you so jumping makes you able to hit them all easier
you can also slide while in blade mode, so A. You actually cut everything he throws at you B. You escape all of it when you release the blade mode button
It may make the game a hell of a lot easier, but damn it feels like Fox Blade is really the way it was meant to be played. There's just something incredibly satisfying about cutting down minor enemies with a single slice. Edit: George when's the S-Rank with Wooden Blade Playthrough?
@@leedleleedle234 They used Flex Seal to repair NYC after Arsenal Gear crashed through it. Why else do you think no one ever acknowledges in the series that a massive chunk of NYC was wiped out? All it took was a little Flex Seal and NYC was back to normal.
I never thought about using the movement in blade mode to actually sneak up on enemies - I just thought some of those stealth segments were impossible 😅
Chief if you're a masochist I'd try beating this game on revengeance difficulty with no upgrades or items used. You're allowed to buy moves and when I did it, I only used the regular HF sword for that one title you can get. I had several breakdowns when fighting the GRAD and Monsoon but overall it was a great waste of time.
This editing feels satisfying to watch tbh. It's highly edited but it doesn't clog up the ears and mind with countless unfunny sound effects just for the sake of making noise.

I keep coming back to this video just because of how well the Metal Gear Ray boss is done, It's proof that Locked & Loaded should have been used for the second part of the fight because it's amazing how well it fits in
If anyone else wants to try this like I did, I have a few tips, mainly for the Armstrong/Excelsus fights Once Exelsus staggers and you get free hits, immediately enter blade mode and just keep swinging, you can get it down to 10% health this way and once you hit it again after the lasers, you can end the fight right afterwards. For the actual final battle with Armstrong, once you get your beginning combo in at the start of the fight, best case scenario he'll do the wall of fire and if you're luck you'll be on the side he'll try to dash to, if not it doesnt really matter but the same thing as with Excelsus applies, enter blade mode and start chopping. I've gotten 625 hits on him before and ended the fight in 3 minutes.
