Pink Ocean it’s not amazing it just shows she’s not listening. Like I understand making your notes pretty to be more motivated to read and write them but the best time to do that is when the class is done, not when the teacher is explaining!

a tip for any of you who might be watching this in 2019:
focus on taking notes in class that just get down all the information you need and then worry about highlighting and rewriting later. the most important thing is to have all of the information you need
lavender moon magick Def do that^ I have an extra binder to place all my “neat” notes. Meaning I rewrite my notes, make them neater, cuter, etc the day I wrote my original notes. As I rewrite my notes I go over the certain topics and what I heard about them in class and what I know. So not only are you rewriting your notes but studying at the same time. Than whenever that specific test/quiz comes around you have neater notes and have already exposed yourself even more to that topic. But you can’t do this if you didn’t take the notes you had to during class because you were busy fancying them up.

Exactly. It's better to come back home and rewrite the notes. In that way, you're updated and you can add or subtract as you go so at the end of the year, you have great notes.♡

Honestly I like most things about school, the only thing I don’t like is that the only reason we learn is to take exams and get good grades. Learning should be done in such a way that it is fun and not in a pressured environment that is tight on time.
@@lifeisbeatiful3657 As a aspiring Teacher, this is what we are taught now a days(Atleast in Sweden) regarding student motivation and this is how I plan to be as a teacher in the future! Study to learn not only(obviously we need to test your knowledge) through exams or such but mainly and ALSO make it in such way/manner that it is enjoyable!!

I write super sloppy notes in class and then come home and redo them like this. It also helps better retain the information because you review the lecture

Fair warning with the erasable pen: I used these during the fall semester when it was still 90 degrees and the AC broke in my car. On my drive to and from school, the heat in my car caused the ink to disappear! All my notes were gone! Thankfully, they come back if you put them in the freezer, but so does everything you erase.

Loved the video but this isn't realistic when you're in a college class and the teacher is talking a mile a minute.
Go home and do it and it will also help you go over your notes and retain information
Write whatever in class then go home and rewrite in a better handwriting and add anything u missed (I record classes and write the time of the info I missed to refer back at home) thats the only way I an study lessons; I just can't sit down for an hour or more moving my eyes across lots of rearranged letters scattered all over the book, I'd be failing😅
I write quick and crappy during class but when I’m home I use those same notes and re-write them neatly and more detailed.
I take a Notebook wich I Place in some notes. I didnt mind my handwritting dessignbor whatever I didnt really care bout that. Or I take pictures or I record The teachers voice by then.. When i come home I can redo it. But there are disadvantages wich the Teacher may Ask for your notes, and ofcourse they love a representable / neat sister. So yeapsz

How do you even have time for this during lecture? My lectures go by so fast I literally struggle to write all the information I need to down... I take messy notes in class and then IF I have extra time in my schedule I try to clean them up.
Tess Albrecht I think what most people do it write the notes out quick then later go in and the extra bits. It can be a good form of revision as your are going back over the notes.
She used an erasable black pen so if she messed up the first time or had to write all her notes down because the teacher was talking to fast she could erase it later and rewrite it
With me I just try to write neat or make the meaning clear, then fix later. Throughout though I leave room for stuff if need be and use pencil for the hard stuff, pen for light work.

So I have strong paper, erasable highlighters, beautiful handwriting, and an erasable hand.
I have cheap paper, a stabbed and ripped in half eraser, broken pencil/pencil with almost no lead, and the hand writing of a dyslexic buffalo

Question: Do you actually do all of that in class, or are you taking notes in class more like most people so you get all of the info and rewriting them later?
She probably rewrites them, because not only do you make them neater but rewriting them also helps you comprehend the information

OMG you are amazing! I know this was posted like a year ago but this is one of the BEST note taking videos that I’ve ever seen!
I am obsessed with writing things down. Like obscenely. The frixion pens seem like they're lovely.... what is the size of the nub, and is the ink quality like gel, stick, or fountain? Is it true black, or is it slightly off? Do the nubs/ink skip? Sorry, I needed to ask someone these things lol
Brooke Poeschl haha no I totally get you!😆 the ink reminds me of gel and they can skip a little bit sometimes kind of like a rollerball. The ink is slightly more grey than black
The ink doesn't skip and is actually pretty smooth, its sort of a mix between a gel and a fountain pen. All of the colors are pretty good but the black is more of a gray than a black in my opinion. The nubs are kinda small but they don't disappear like regular erasers because the point is to create heat with the friction of the nub in order to make the ink disappear. Overall they are pretty good pens, but they aren't exactly my favorite because again the black is more of a gray than a black... I would honestly perfer to use a pilot g2 black pen with some white out, but dats my opioion.
If you decide to get the frixion pens, don't leave your notes/ paper in a hot area(like inside a car on a hot day). The writing will disappear!

I know for many people taking such notes shown in the video is just a whole lot of work and bullshit, but this really helps me in my studies. Having a visual pleasing notes encourages me more to finish the work.
My teacher does PowerPoints so I just copy that and and kinda listen to her. 😂 I really need to get the habit of listening to her.

Even though this was like 1 year ago and all and yt just recommended me this in 2019 I got so much motivation from this cuz my school starts in 3 days and taking notes is extremely necessary but mine always end up looking hella boring and I always end up forgetting about the notes. This video truly helped me thanks! ♡
Those pens and highlighters(frixion one) have a tendency to fade overtime due to exposure to heat(sunlight) and inevitable friction(when papers are close together) though they're good as you can erase and rewrite them with ease incidents may happen, and tadda! you have a faded lecture.

Are these the Jot brand erasable highlighters from Dollar Tree? They seem to work pretty well on your notes, guess they’re not bad for $1. I currently use the frixion highlighters, but they smear over gel pens. I’m not a huge fan of the frixion pens because the ink isn’t pigmented enough for my liking & it disappears in the heat, it’s inconvenient in sunny locations. I like your style of note taking though, so I appreciate this video :)

lilella I think the frixion pens are the best erasable pens that exist right now. Papermate has their own version, but it doesn’t erase completely.
I used pilot erasable markers for a while, but now I use the Papermate Flair marker pens. THEY ARE AMAZING FOR PIGMENT, but they don’t erase 😢

You could rewrite your notes
You take down information during class then afterwards perhaps at home you change everything you wish. I'm not in Uni yet and I am just a senior in high school however I am doing AP classes and taking extra University level classes and taking your notes like this encourages you to study them more
im also in science but I use it as an opportunity to go over the material right after class. It makes me divide and summarize the information and helps retain it in the long run. It also doesn't hurt that the information is nice to look at and makes studying a tiny bit less dreadful.

Victoria Martinez thats why I take ugly notes during class and pretty notes later suring my study time. it will help you retain the information if you put in the work to rewrite them. Also record your teacher's lecture

sorry but I'm not sure cause before 1 or 2 years ago I heard from my teachers that the pilot erasable pen was not good as it used to erase everything after few months and some of the students failed as they used these pens in examination days and couldn't pass as everything erased by it self except the prints and then got 0 in the report card
but I have tip
as you know the ink doesn't disappears within a day so write with the pilot pen then go home erase a word and rewrite it with another brand pen and like that you have no mistakes ✌☺ but I'm not sure about the highlighters cause I haven't tried them yet but I will try and check 👍👍 and that's all
