He seems a genuine good guy. Quick story... I attended a wrestling convention, my friends & I were in the hotel lobby til 2 am, I wanted to meet his Mom Diana Hart but she was in the hotel bar. ( not drinking ) We had to leave, I tweeted to Diana that I regretted not meeting her. She sent an autographed photo to me - at her own expense. #Class

Every wrestling fan should watch the tiger mask vs dynamite kid matches from back in the 80's in japan, those matches helped make and shape wrestling in to what is is today, wrestling correctly is a true art and the ring was their canvas where they painted some absolute masterpieces

Dynamite was the ultimate pioneer of hybrid styles take to the next level I used to watch him when he started on the British wrestling circuit ,then after Japan and Canada whenever I saw him I realised he'd surpassed Rolable Rocco and Tiger Mask but with Don Muraco muscular development he was in a league of his own and brought Davey Boy,Bret Hart and Benoit along and wrestlers since to this day have his indelible mark on them.

DYNAMITE KID was the best. i live in portland OR. we use to have PORTLAND WRESTLING Billy Jack, Rip Oliver, Buddy Rose,Kurt Henning we went every weekend. when i was a kid Dynamite did a small run here in the PNW, when i saw him as a kid he was like a super hero except he was a heel, he became my favorite he was on another level. Everyone in the 80's liked the big giant guys but not great workers big , slow not alot action. Dynamite in singles or as the tag w/Bulldogs was amazing for me in the 80's the" Bulldogs & Heart Foundation" those are the guys that made it look real & brought the technique & speed. his personal life is not for any man to judge. in the ring as a wrestler/performer should be in HOF . you'll never guys like Dynamite/tiger mask. long live 80's wrestling, i hope youngsters not alive then or never watched before Stone cold era.. watch some DYNAMITE KID/ BRITISH BULLDOG matches all the japan matches are fast paced. RIP TOM BILLINGTON

He could be an incredible jackass to people but there were a decent amount of guys in the locker room like Mr Perfect, Bad News Brown, The Hart Foundation and Harley Race who did like him. He was a legitimate tough guy who wasn’t afraid of anybody despite his size. The shame is he treated a lot of people badly over the years including is own wife and when he was in a wheelchair very few people gave a shit. He was crippled, broke and living in a housing project in England with his last wife struggling to take care of him and most people he worked with said he deserved it.
From a wrestling perspective he’s one of the greatest to ever step in the ring. As a human being he was terribly flawed.

Sad to hear in this interview from Davey Boy Smith Jr. that The British Bulldogs tag team broke up on bad terms in real-life. I thought for many years that Davey Boy and Dynamite went their separate ways amicably. (And the on-screen breakup they did in Stampede wrestling in 1988-1989 was just a storyline.)

Still don’t understand why he is using his father’s nickname. He isn’t British and you’d think he’d want to establish his own legacy as opposed to riding his deceased father’s coattails by using his name and in effect causing confusion. Some people might think Davey Boy Smith Sr. has come back from beyond the grave to comment on these things or that he was psychic during his lifetime and commented on people and events that would occur after his death but that isn’t the case.

Awesome interview.... Great to hear Davey Boy Smith Jr. talk about his cousin Tom Billington in afavorable light- great that he was able to connect with D/K thru the D/Doll I've read the Super Star Billy Grahms autobiography- & I believe he tells of a similar tale- with one of the Bulldogs- doing the blind the driver bit to Jim Hellwig- I think-- that is really quite stooped-- but who am I to judge-- I am a Hobo--- Man-- the WWE must be grateful- to know that they have DBS2...... & that they can call upon him- to put their top strap on.... I think it is just a matter of time..... I'd like to see D/K get well- fly to NY & have DBS2 induct he and his father in the their B/S HOF..........

Not born or raised in Britain, he should stop the confusing destruction of his dad's stage-name and change his name to the Canadian Bulldog. People searching for British Bulldog are looking for his dad, not him. As a Londoner (the one in Britain, not the one in Canada), it's ridiculous to me that he's going by his dad's stage name.
