Soon the internet is going to find you Andrew and realize that you are one of the most genius creators ever to grace this platform. I’m so glad I was here early to see it! Thanks for all the hard work that you put into your content, it is a joy to watch!
Ah yes, I still remember those training videos we used to have to watch back when I worked at Ames ("Nightmare in Retail" was my favorite, which, I'm not kidding, was a take on "Predator"). But the one I will never forget had to do with dealing with an irrate customer. Evidently, they weren't allowed to use the real names of our competitors for these videos due to copyright, so she says, "I'm gonna shop at your competitor, Kalmart!" To this day, I still call Walmart "Kalmart". 😃
Fun fact, Home Depot still uses a 1990s tape for the “safely operating saws” video. Cause well… You know.. It’s a saw, been using the same saws for a while…
So glad you're back! I love watching your videos. You know this video was authentic because as soon as it started playing my instincts tried to get me to snooze until it was over. The only thing that isn't true to life is this video ended much quicker than the real ones seem to. I especially love the little segues and transition graphics. Oh, and can't forget that "swoosh" sound when the text flies on or off screen. Classic.
I tried to find a classic sounding retro “swoosh” sound and all of them on RUclips sound like the sounds that RUclipsrs use with heavy bass in it. So I took that one from an actual old training video online.

What always got me was where was the popcorn and soda when showing these boring, yawning, snooze fest videos. The walls and the ceiling were more interesting.
As always, be sure to read the description! I usually use it as a "newsletter" to you. This one especially since I have been on a break!
I don’t understand how your videos aren’t more popular. The effort and accuracy are top notch!
Thank you so much for such a kind compliment!!

That sounds so terrible and yet, so good...
@@andrewball_ I kind of wish someone had posted those on RUclips. But that store's been closed since 2002, so those video cassettes are long gone.

Thank you so much for such a kind comment. I really appreciate that and I am so glad you enjoying it. Thank you!!
This is totally rad. I feel like I’ve seen this exact video, especially the snazzy graphics.
The graphics were based loosely on the 1980s Jewel-Osco training video that's also here on RUclips
