Great job. Very clear, quick gameplay. You were very easy to understand and made the Automata look simple enough for anyone to follow, not just veteran solo players. This is the first time I'm seeing combat with the Automata and it does seem very uneventful and random compared to amazing fun of going head-to-head with another human player. Combat is SO great and memorable when playing with my friends. I hope they can find a way to incorporate that excitement into the Automata as well. Also, technologies will be getting an upgrade with more options in the final game!
@@OneStopCoopShop Awesome! Looking forward to it. I'm already 100% in on this game, they have been making great improvements so far. Just haven't heard anything about the Automata combat so that's great news.
Mike, y'all should be charging double the going rate for these Kickstarter campaign previews. The work you do is the best out there! Between you and Colin this channel is a powerhouse. Keep it up!
@@OneStopCoopShop can't you charge and put the disclaimer that you have the right to give an honest opinion or perhaps soft feedback? Or maybe just play the game and don't give any final opinion at all? You honestly do deserve cash support for all the hard work you put into your videos

Thanks for your review Mike. I have backed Uprising and the guys from Nemesis Games have done a phenomenal job so far, very impatient to receive their game. I was expecting voidfall from a long period of time but have to admit that fractal got me by surprise and I will probably end up converting my pledge. The comparison you make between games is great to me, even if I don't have the same personal taste I feel that you really get the essence of each of them. Thanks for that.
Haha, you nailed it. The OSCS team subscribed to Epidemic sound, and it's one of my favorite things to browse through and find fun tracks for the videos :)
@@OneStopCoopShop How engaging was it? Right now, I'm thinking about whether to back it and it seems underwhelming when looking at tts (naturally, maybe). The campaign seems like the biggest upside for me.
@@OneStopCoopShop Ok. Is it fun to improve the tracks and gain technologies? It seems that with reduced complexity some of the "richness" of 4x games would be lost? I appreciate the reply. You gained one subscriber right here.
They have said that they are now adding a bunch of technology cards and you use an assortment of them each game. I think that should help. And sure; it’s fun to unlock stronger track bonuses
This review made me even more excited for Uprising 🤣. The more “realistic” look of things compared to the very abstract graphics from both Voidfall and Fractal made the difference for me.
How is Uprising even remotely close to realistic ? :P I think it's different art styles. Imo fractal is the most "realistic" in terms of physiology. However I personally prefer Voidfall's art.

I enjoy Forbidden Stars, but play so little competitive these days that it probably wouldn't get to my table. So not sure if that helps :) Haven't played Empires of the Void!

Thanks for the review Mike. Love the comparison section. Where applicable in the future, I hope you can keep comparing games to other games.
I’ll keep that in mind. This is such a specific genre that it was easier here, but I think it’s a good idea for other reviews

Excellent as always, very helpful video!
Thanks!
Super excited to see more 4x coop games coming out! Let's see who can come out on top!
Me too! And i think it’ll be to different tastes. Combat-focused 4x versus empire-focused, etc

I’ve heard only a bit about that, but very cool!
Very clear and concise explanation, thanks!

I ended up going with Voidfall. We’ll see if it was the right call or not, but I’m looking forward to it.
I like them both, so I don’t think you’ll regret it. Voidfall has more of an VP engine building feel to it, and that’s certainly a lot of fun.
Thanks. This is *the* clearest playthrough for this game.
Glad it was clear and helpful!
