i never notices it until i rewatch it again and see the changes when she loses her powers in Narnia, her powers are truly amazing. That is awesome details, not only that the actress did amazing job for the White Witch role. I don't think there is any other better actress playing the role of the White Witch than her.
This was the film that introduced me to Tilda Swinton. What an actress!!! The hair, her eyes, and costume all came together. The hair for me was the most interesting as it’s dreadlocks and is a unique and rarely seen look on a character in a movie. Her white dress when she goes to Aslan’s camp is my favourite. It makes her stand out against everything and everyone. It’s good that Tilda or any actor and actress works with the costume designer to create a visually stunning and striking character and her White Witch is something that is enchanting but also dangerous. She’s like a combination of Glinda the Good Witch mixed with Cruella deVil. She created a brilliant villain in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Originally Michelle Pfeiffer was the original choice for the White Witch. She would’ve been great but Tilda definitely was perfectly cast and is iconic for me it’s her role I know her most for.
Way before she became the Ancient one, before she met Dr. Strange. She was an evil queen of Narnia and wants to take over the land with winter never Christmas and summer.
I just wanted to say how thankful I am! Thank you for uploading all these videos and taking the time to premiere them; it’s amazing! I really hope none of these get taken down by Disney or something like that :( I’ve wanted the 4 disc extended edition for a while now and this is just perfect!! Again thank you! 😙😙
Tilda was the soul of the movie. She totally rocked this movie. Great acting, great costume and make-up design, and her own physical appearance and attributes just really served her well to play a very intimidating witch with tremendous power.
I noticed she wears different animal fur or feathers in each scene, from rabbits and arctic foxes to badgers and roosters until she finally changed the fur on her war dress to Aslan's mane.
The worst thing about the lion witch and the wardrobe portion where she becomes a warrior is the scene where we are showing her standing in her chariot that is drawn by the Bears but the rains have no tension on them whatsoever and it just looks stupid because her arm implies that there is tension I know it’s a little thing but it bugs me. That being said her wand is one of the coolest ones never designed
I really liked the idea of how Jadis was portrayed but being a lover of the original books it was difficult for me to get into Tilda Swindon as the witch, I guess I’m just a traditionalist and I like things done exactly as they are written, her skin should have been a lot whiter than it was for a start!
Not really, she was a witch, her powers were not limited to ice and snow she could do a lot more than that, she just chose the whole snow and ice magic thing to trap narnia when she took the throne, it’s explained in the magicians nephew
That makes sense. I always thought of the witch as a nymph or elf maybe. Something akin to the fair folk or the fae. It's almost a thing of nature. The prettist things are the most deadly. However in nature and any good witches gardens the antidote is always found nearby. So always keep an eye to your surrrondings if it isn't the turth there is always a tell.
According to the books Jadis is half Giant-ess (where she get her incredible height of 8 feet in the books) and Jinn. And according to legend and mythology, the Jinn are the descendants of Lillith, Adam's first wife. Which where she takes her claim to the Narnian throne.
Holy crap! I never realized her crown melts in size as her power in Narnia is fading. That is such a cool and clever detail!!!
Yeah. This is really cool detail.
I never noticed the symbolism in the White Witches clothing when I was younger that was such a cool idea.

The inspiration for her dress's color change and the crown made of icicles melting is Pokémon.
Tilda Swinton was perfect as the White Witch.
Obviously 🤗🤗🤗 I need her in all Narnia series🥰🥰🥰

Thanos: "I am the most powerful antagonist of any movie!"
White Witch: "Hold my Turkish Delight."

“Hold my Turkish Delight” 😭🤚
Never realized her battle dress it's made of Aslan's mane :O
Im watching this in 2024! I rewatch all three narnia movies last week, and i just cant get enough of it. Thank u for uploading the videos!
This was fascinating. When seeing the film I always thought she had Aslan's mane to appear the rightful ruler of Narnia.

You're Welcome and thank you for watching! I’m glad you are enjoying these behind the scenes videos. More videos are on the way.
@@pajasek99 Thank you!! 😊
At 4.08 minute we can see she is helping the costume designers to stitching the snow materials in her dress. That shows how down to earth she is❤.
Casually wearing Aslan's mane to battle.
That was a real bold move! To wear the hair of someone she sacrificed
7:26 skandars laugh is so cute
Absolutlry perfect casting for the white witch. Love tilda. superb actor.
She wouldn't even need Turkish Delight to get me to join her side.
Same
What about a girl?
Tilda is such a special acctress.
Woowwww❤ Narnia is my favorite movie in childhood.. Even now I love it... I appreciate their hardwork... This is so unique way to portray a witch 💜💜
In the final battle, the White Witch wears Aslan's mane at her neck, as a tactic to instill fear and grief in the opposing army.
Damn she was beautiful

she doesn’t age
She was amazing as white witch
Love her!!!
This was very interesting.

She always beautiful
you can tell they did their research
Gosto muito da esgrima da feiticeira... Gostaria de saber se é inspirada em algum estilo real.
She is beautiful 😏
Perferctas las actuaciones de esta actris para el personaje de la Bruja

Ancient One
What are you doing here ???
Hahahahahaha
Tilda Swinton was awesome as the White Witch and Elsa has the same power but Elsa is literally powerful

Jadis can beat Elsa
Bmb

She's half giantess half djinn.
@@infjelphabasupporter8416 Indeed. She is more demon than nymph/elf. Besides, Narnia has proper nymphs.
