We made it through Hurrican Ian here in Florida all but untouched. We were lucky this time around. A mega storm up in your neck of the woods might just wash a ton of gold up onto the beaches hopefully turning lemon into lemonade. We wish you the very best and be safe!!!!!! Fred and DeeDee

I was on a beach in Alaska during a real bad storm, in fact the last worst storm before this one. They sent a helicopter to warn me and tell me to get the hell off the beach. Not a big deal I said, I’ve been through bad weather before, how bad could it get? “How tall is that beach berm?” they asked me. Oh about 30’. “How big are the logs behind it?” Some of em 8’ across. “How do you think they got there?”. I wised up and packed my camp and moved off the beach and up to the headlands. Good thing I did as I was even unable to get out of the valley by beach for a week after that storm, and there was now a huge lake behind the berm.
The last storm was 1 of a kind! 18 foot waves!

I have seen a lot of bad storms over the years. The ocean is a powerful force. I am glad that he survived........but I was thinking the whole time he was talking about his walls that the ocean will take about 2 waves to remove them.

A trick to keep a local bear out of your stuff... buy some Alum and sprinkle over your garbage cans and a chunk of meat. once the bear gets some of that bitter shiz in its mouth it won't come back for seconds. Guarantied
