This was a great video, I never really realized that the reason I found defining myself by what I do to be shallow an inaccurate was because I was letting others and circumstance define myself. Of course I'm a little disappointed since I was expecting a step by step guide to finding my identity, especially since i'm not religious but that would be too easy after all. I will do my best to listen to god and follow his lead to defining myself. Thank you very much for this video again, its criminally under-viewed for its content and production value
I do not exist in isolation. What is the nature of the relationship between me and my mind and body? What is my relationship with others, with the world around me, and ultimately, with the Supreme Lord? How do I fit into the universe? What is my true position? Our natural function is to render loving service to the Supreme Person. When you love someone, you act on it, try to work for and please this person. So, in this world you engage in activities to please the Supreme Person. To achieve perfect love for God should be one's goal in life. Whether one is in the material world or in the spiritual world doesn't matter. Serving God is not a temporary activity. Spiritual life means to remember your real eternal identity, not conjure up a new identity. You do not need to be of any value to be loved or considered valuable by God. His love for me is unconditional. This is real experience of value.
Do we have to be happy? What is happy anyway? As soon as God is mentioned most people put the shutters down . Where as most Muslims are open to talking about God…..this I have found in my life.
I was a little caught off guard with the Christian perspective. I've heard the same advice from a secular point of view. Other spiritualities make their way into psychology videos sometimes, but theyre not as immediately recognizeable or come with baggage Christian or Muslim references would to someone who grew up in the west. Usually i interpet "God" in this context as looking within as opposed to outside yourself.
Thank you so much, 58years old and just now trying to figure who i am underneath who i was: Wife...Mother...

So basically he told me not what god told me. 🤨
Great message!!
You lost me at the preaching part. Dont place such things in a psychology video without putting sone disclaimer.
Check with family tree first
If you asked me who i am i would give you my name.
its started off nice but then it went into the god route haha I cant use this with my Asian students
God is the creator of yr Asian students
Everything flows from who we are in Christ. It is the foundation!
