Nice job brother I've been a mechanic for 30 years and Marine mechanic for about 10 of those one helpful hint that I like to do when replacing those o-rings on the wet sleeves paint the outside of the sleeve with a white oil based paint it helps it slide in nice and smooth and seals up great when it dries I like to use Rust-Oleum Fair winds till next time cheers sailor friends 🍻

Oh wow thanks for the advice! Any information on these is greatly appreciated since it’s pretty difficult to find anything online about it lol.

Thats exactly what we do with all our Mark 2 Fords like this engine.
They really are a Ford Dagenham or 4D Ford engine just marinzed by Lehman and a lot of other companies.
Did you notice one section of the liner was pitted more than the rest?
If so its normally always opposite the valve camshaft lobes for each cylinder. Ive got a bunch of those engines in vaccuum governor injector pump engines and mechanical governor injector pumps like yours.
Keep an eye on and change the oil in your pump. Camshafts for those pumps esp the ones with the splined waterpump drive are no longer availible or Id be buying them all.

It's great that you have enough bilge room to do that. There is no way I can take my oil pan off without pulling the engine.

Ya that was one of the big reasons we ended up with this boat was how great it was to work on the engine!
