Whether you’re in your office, or out in the field, you can send professional looking invoices from anywhere with Square. Square makes it easy for you to send, and easy for your customers to pay.
No more printing out invoices, waiting for checks to arrive, then depositing them at the bank. With Square Invoices, you can send an invoice to your customer’s email address, and they pay online directly to your account. Which means less work for you and faster payments from them.
You can send invoices from the Square Invoices app, the Square Point of Sale app or from your computer using Square Dashboard. Simply select invoices from the navigation panel.
    Then Create Invoice.
Add your customer’s name and email address. If you already have customers stored in Square’s Customer Directory, you can simply choose from your existing list of customers.
Add a customized message, like this.
Specify when you’d like the invoice to be delivered to your customer and set a due date for the payment.
Next, add items by selecting from your Item Library. And adjust the quantity if needed.
To schedule automatic reminders, just check the box by Reminders. This way you don’t have to do the work of chasing down the payment.
Now preview the invoice to see how it’ll show up for your customer.
Want to make a change? No problem. Simply navigate back to the invoice to make updates.
You can also customize the look by changing the color and logo at any time in account and settings.
Once you’re all set, just click Send!
Once you’ve sent the invoice, your customer will receive the invoice directly in their email, and they can pay online with a digital wallet or any supported credit or debit card.
After they’ve successfully entered their payment information, both you and your customer will receive a confirmation email that the invoice has been paid.
You can easily track the status of your invoices to see when they were viewed and paid.
And that’s it. With Square you can check invoices off your list in a matter of minutes.

What about when people pay in cash right in the field? Or when they pay before the invoice? There are not options to apply that payments and send the invoice as paid.

Is it possible to send an invoice out with just the business name and no business address (as also home address) or email ? Was wondering if Square could be used for eBay payments where no personal details are sent to buyer e.g. when using PayPal on eBay sellers address and personal name are not disclosed.

#Welcome team groups sharing. Square Invoices Fees
You can send an unlimited number of invoices for a fee of 2.9% + 0.30 cents. Fees are applied at the time an invoice is paid by your customer with their credit or debit card.
If you’re using Card on File to save and charge customer payment cards, you’ll pay a slightly higher fee of 3.5% + 0.15 cents when a stored card is used to pay an invoice. The higher fee for Card on File transactions is due to a greater risk involved with these payments, as neither the payment card nor the cardholder have to be present for the payment to occur.

I can't see the invoice button on my dashboard. Even the tutorial doesn't point to anything when I try to make a tutorial invoice. Am I doing something wrong? I'm really new to this and I'm lost.

Is there a way we can create this invoice programmatically ? I have searched the internet and found nothing. What I am trying to do is create a form similar to the one that you have created. The advantage here is that I can skip a lot of the fields that you have asked in the form (replacing them with default value). Secondly, the boss can share that application with sales team who can then create invoices on their own, copy the link and send it away. Otherwise they will either have to tell the boss to create and send an invoice or the boss has to share account credentials with them. Please help ?

    1. You shouldn't have to input an email for a customer.
    2. You should allow invoice-links rather than forcing an email from Square.

Any way there can be an option to not save the customers info every time an invoice is made? I do a lot of custom work for one off customers, and have 100's of customers saved that most likely wont order again for years. Id prefer a simpler invoice option that doesn't require creating a new customer.

You can easily mark the invoice as Paid from your online Square Dashboard, if you receive a payment for an invoice outside of Square Invoices. You can refer to our Support Centre article for the how-to steps squ.re/3PtFVlb.
