- My video is about making my 25ft Bertram the best one on the planet. I apologize for taking so long to get this video out. I have been working away from home for a long time and I haven’t had much time to work on the boat or edit the footage. I spent a long time on this video trying to polish a turd though. I hope you enjoy the narrating by sir David Attenborough. It’s actually from a site Fakeyou. Have a play. Free to use it. In this video I get one of the actuator posts made. Doing the other 3 posts should be easy now that I know how I’m going to make it

You’re a legend Mick. If I win a big lotto, I’m setting you up in a factory! Your no. 1 fan ❤
Haha thanks tommothy! I hope you win!!! I been hitting the lotto hard lately hahaha
Well hello my best friend, I was starting to get worried that you may have left us, 😢
What a great love story that episode was, the build is coming along amazingly, love you attention to detail, she is going to look awesome.
Cheers
Sorry about that best friend, I would never leave you haha I can’t wait to get the work done for the next episode but time is not on my side at the moment. Working away from home much more than I expected. I gotta take it while it’s there! Thanks for always supporting me! 🍻 🍻
Love the intro, the narration was hilarious! Glad to see you back at it. Love watching you work with all your fancy tools, excellent work as usual. Make it happen mate!
Thank you very much! I gotta catch up on your build. Hope all is going well
Welcome back mate. We have missed you and your incredible craftsmanship!!

Brilliant video and testimony to your skills.
Thanks mate
Greetings from Daytona Beach, Florida. Loved your intro and what a fantastic project! Can't wait to see it progress
Hello over there! Thank you. Working away from home for most of this year so I haven’t been able to get much work done
@@Micington a good project is about the journey. Don't worry about finishing fast, just make sure you finish.
Just found your videos. 😅 Legendary bro
Thanks mate! Glad you found me! Working away atm so haven’t had much time working on it in afraid
Looking good big fella! Been missing the updates, just keep chipping away at it, one job at a time. Its definitely a marathon and not a sprint.
Thanks mate. Finding it really hard to get time to do anything on the boat this year so far. Hopefully get some time on it soon though.
@Micington sometimes it's the 20 minutes here and there that make a difference and grow the enthusiasm. Loving the blow by blow footage btw.... cheers
Award winning, so clever and fun summary. JBG
Thank you! What’s JBG?
Just found this channel. Absolutely awesome
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for the encouragement! Cheers 🍻

It’s getting there mate. 😊
Thanks mate 🍻
Wow awesome video micington 🚢
Thanks moon pig 🐷
Hilarious - well done!
Thanks mate!
Will be the best Bertram in the world once she's done.
I'm also rebuilding a boat but have the opposite mentality of keeping it simple and strong
Thank you! Definitely a wise decision to keep it simple and strong. Especially if you want it done within a year or 2! I’m in my 4th year of building!
@@Micington i painted my hull with flowcoat and a brush. If I see you out at Moreton one day, I'll pull up and say hello lol
Definitely! 👍
Keep at it mate, took my brother 10 years to fully finish his 1986 Bertram 23. Like you said, just do something. Any progress is good.
Thanks, will do! Cheers 🍻
Hilarious commentary. The boat is coming along nicely.
Glad you liked it and thanks for letting me know
Love the commentary and the pursuit of the ultimate female! Make no mistake, The Actuators are a game changer!!! Sloppy and loose is the name of the game, it's not the size, it's the function and stability!
Thank you for letting me know! Means a lot to me
@@Micington I let you know what we did with ours a couple of years ago! We have it on our tuna tower, that's what we call it here is the states, but it is a 2-man extension to our existing tower. we have a bridge that does not provide us the ability to get out of our cove with it extended. So, the actuators do the job for us! 3 feet (40 inches)! The extension slides in and out of the tube, just like yours and then locks into place with pins! The sun shade on the tuna tower floods over and we can get out! It was built with precision in mind, my uncle wouldn't have it any other way! But we had to make it a little sloppy for it to work flawlessly!
Keep up the great work, it inspires me to be happy!! The pursuit of woman made me laugh out loud!
@@chiphalvorsen4252sorry I just saw your reply. Yeh loose sounds like it’s the way to go. I was thinking it’ll be too difficult to get all of the posts to come up perfectly parallel. I’d love to see your setup! RUclips it! I think the actuators will come up at different speeds to so I was going to have swivel point at top of actuator posts to roof too. Might be able to turn it into a wing lol
Pure gold!!
Thanks mate!
figgin awesome work as always
Thanks again! 🍻
Naa Mate, I don't think your an idiot, quite the opposite actually I think you are a genius. You have a beautiful wife, a handsome young son and building a boat that you want while having some fun doing it. You are pretty much killing it.
Though I do i have to say I have been enjoying this series up till now but with that intro I am feeling a bit guilty for watching it lol. I thought this was about building the boat but apparently it is about getting laid, I somehow feel guilty about it, like we should also be paying ohmage to your Mrs or watching it on the hub.
Boat coming along and one day we might see it in a liquid habitat, but for now enjoying the ride.
Thanks for thinking I’m not an idiot haha , and another thanks! I’m very proud of my Mrs and son. The intro was just a bit of fun, I just wanted to make people laugh. No ohmage or offense intended. The videos are all about building the best 25ft Bertram on the planet! I’ll tell everyone the real reasons why I begun the build, one day in a future video. I definitely didn’t expect it to take this long though! There’s so many other things I’d like to do.
I appreciate your consistent support hommie! 🍻 🍻
Love it! Xx
Thanks bub xxx
Brilliant!
Thanks!
One Blob at a time.
Blob by blob
Hope you imbided the St. Pat's day rations of Guiness Extra Stout and followed it in the evening with Jameson's honey. Some of man's best ideas come after so doing!
Hahah I was away from home working unfortunately
Ha ha ha hows that into best one yet 👌 its coming along bit by bit, good to catch up though its been a while 🤙
Thanks mate! Sorry about the wait
@Micington your good mate🤙 don't be sorry, we all got to live and work bro 👌🎣
why not doing a outboard transom, atleast you can run twin enjine
I prefer the look of the boat with inboards . Maybe later down the track if inboard is too much work and too slow???
Ha Ha. didn't realise you were a local. Thought you might have been a cockroach. Is the plasma high frequency start (and using usb or parallel cable)? If so, is likely emf noise interfering with the comms. I think some people are getting the HF starting plasmas to work wirelessly (bluetooth module maybe)? If it was working before and it is not now, then might not be noise but lots of people have this issue with HF start.
Thanks Dennis! It’s actually got a super long usb cable coiled up… I will change it out for an expensive shorter cable and let you (and everyone else) know if it works! Awesome thanks!!! 🍻
Where abouts are you? I’m in Scarborough
@@Micington Just the other side of the creek at Capalaba. Did it lose comms or lose it's arc? (I'm def not an authority on this but know some people have the loss of comms issue from noise).
Nice one. Not sure about the comms yet. I haven’t had a chance to play yet
