Im always striking, because people don't always know they should ban BF against my character (Rosa). This has landed me on PS2 game 1 only once, which was against a Min-Min player. Apart from that, I often end up on the correct neutral stage which people should actually gentleman to instead of PS2 (SBF) or Hollow Bastion
Loved this episode, just wanted to mention that this one doesn't currently seem to be on Spotify. I just noticed while shilling the podcast to a friend
I usually gentlemen to PS2 if I expect neither of us will ban the stage. I’ve played most of the ppl in my local scene a good number of times so ik whether or not they’ll ban it so gentlemen to PS2 just saves time if we’re gonna strike to there anyway.
Things like the FD discussion would be perfect to go on the Patreon. Little things yall would like to expand on but don’t want a whole other video for it lol
One question I always have is, say you're playing someone with a very long range .. say Sephiroth. Do you want a small stage because you basically cover a better percentage of it, or do you want a Big stage so that you can better maneuver and back dash to keep your opponent at Sword range?
As a sheik main living in europe: I usually ban yoshis cause I hate that stage, and then I just look what they like, cause I think Sheik is chilling on any stage. And then usually I‘m down for PS2, but theres this one mf at my local that is like the goat on ps2 so against him i ban.
How does a block placement interact with slants? Like im pretty sure it doesn't place it on a diagonal angle so the question is if the block is slightly above part of the slant can you dash under it and avoid having to break the block?
These are some interesting answers. However, I think the true answer is that everyone needs platforms to gain a boost for earlier stocks and to hide under. 🙄

I once agreed to gentleman to PS2 against a near PR'd DK in my region. I never willingly gentleman'd to PS2 from that day forward.
Lmao I actually gentleman'd to PS2 with a PR DK XD
Anyone: "Wanna just go to PS2?"
Me: "Okay, just because you said that, I ban PS2."

Totally didn't forget about the timestamps and was listening on 2x speed 30 min before the vid went out to get them done
Yoshi’s is a good stage. Steve gets wool 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Patreon Yes

learned a lot this session ngl

Can you guys make a video about the different types of armor and how to play around them.
fuck it sbf gang
I feel that stages with more than 1 platform wouldn't be annoying to play if we still had the drop shield platform technique from smash 4.
Year one ult I would pick wire frame green mac and then choose omega/bf on a green stage 😈
I would use g&w and use FD
Shame they didnt have Time for the FD talk
I do wish yoshis was legal. Its a cool stage. Way better than Lylat
Legalize 75m

I don’t think you can dash under it but slants are definitely worse for Steve than no slants
ps2 also has slant
Yo what a cool video
🔥🔥🔥
Why is Yoshi’s Island Brawl banned? Too slanted?
The stage is pretty much all slants, even the middle playform has slants. Thats the main reason I think.
Why are people at tournaments scared of fighting on Final Destination?? 😅
Too linear favors, aggressive characters
@@lewissteward65and projectile camping
Not to mention Steve gets to just mine mostly iron on FD

bc im a floaty with bad disadvantage and need platforms to mix up my landings, otherwise it's a game of "let's go to ledge and hope I don't die"
