If I'm being completely honest I think that you and Tom are actually my favorite couple. I love the way you two operate, I like how you have a separate room even though you both sleep in his cause sometimes you need your own space, I like how you mentioned that you pay for your own things aside from the occasional treating one another. I think having a form of independence like that is really important to have in a relationship and I feel like it would help you remember how natural your relationship is when you aren't bound by as many details like the finances and living space. They remind me of a few couples I know, and its my favorite type of couple. Another youtube based couple, and one I know in real life. I crave a relationship like that, and seeing these people have these types of relationships made me realize they are real, and could be real, and are worth searching for.
Living like that honestly prevents a lot of arguments too! My partner and I figured out a budget for shared expenses (food, rent, etc) and put a set amount into a joint account to cover that and build a "rainy day" fund but the rest of our money we keep separate. We use that separate money for personal bills and treats for ourselves so one doesn't feel like the other is wasting their money. We sleep in the same room but have spots in our home that are just for us too. We can decorate however we want there and if we need alone time that's where we go. Some think it's weird but it means we almost never fight so we love it

He pays the rent and I contribute to groceries as much as I can or organize things for us. It is also clear that I will have a proper paying job at some point and it is important to me to pay for my own stuff and contribute to datenight whenever I can. :)
giving each other personal space is very impornant. Not every hobby has to be shared, every partner is still their own person. It is sad to see how many couples get this wrong, don't trust each other and essentially fight over one needing a bit of space from the other. They jump to conclusions of "oh you must be cheating" or "you don't love me". It is sad to see this all over social media these days. A good relationship is based on teamwork and trust, and not on overbearing controll and doing every little thing together.
One of the most important moments in my life was meeting my husband playing quidditch at the Harry Potter society at the University we went to. We were on opposing teams and I am nearly 3 years older than him. We've been together nearly 7 years and married over a year 😊
My fiancé and I have been together for 8 years and engaged for two months! If he hadn’t happened to be on campus the weekend I wanted to study on a particular couch, we would’ve never met. I fell asleep on him by accident and he kissed my forehead. We had only exchanged names before that happened. I've been inspired by you, and felt so close to you, for six years and I don't think that I would be the person I am today, or have met MY fiance, without you.
So I decided to play The Sims Online, which might have been the worst online game ever. I met a player named Spiral and eventually became a roommate in his Sim house. One of the ways to "win" at TSO was by having the most visitors in your house. Spiral had a real life friend who was a serious night owl and could keep our house open for visitors all night. Eventually his friend and I would stay up all night talking while our avatars made food and cleaned up after our visitors. 6 months later I moved to Texas and he and I have now been together for 15 years. 😁 It's so weird to think that if I had played a different game or made different friends in the game I would never have met my soul mate. Thanks for sharing your story. It was sappy, but in a really good way. 😍😍😍

Such an amazing story. ❤️ The story of how I met my husband is actually quite crazy. My mom is from South Africa but she moved to California at 18 years old and met my dad there. I was born and raised in California. When I was about 10, my mother attempted to get back in contact with her friends and family in South Africa. She was able to find the contact information to her best friend growing up. From that, her friend came to visit us in the states a couple years later. In 2010, my parents, brother, and I decided to visit South Africa. We made plans to meet with her best friend in Zimbabwe to stay at a holiday house her family had there. It was there that I met my mom’s childhood friend’s son, and my future husband. I was 16 at the time and developed a huge crush on him. Nothing became of my crush but when that family came to California to visit us in 2013, we both had feelings for one another and started dating. We were married in 2015 after dating long distance for 2 years and now I live in South Africa with my husband. Best decision I ever made. ❤️
One part of my story actually involves you. When I was first entering college, all I wanted to do was art. I wanted to work at Disney and started building my degree so that I could accomplish that dream. Unfortunately, my first hurdle in life was running out of funds so I could no longer attend school how I wanted. I wanted to continue so I decided to start working full time and save for a year so that I could pay for school all on my own. One year turned into 2, then 2 to 3, etc, ect. When I was entering my fourth year away from school, working 40 hour weeks at I job I hated, and I hadn’t done any art in all that time, I decided to watch my favorite RUclipsr to make myself feel better. A wonderful amazing inspirational woman by the name of Carrie Hope Fletcher. Entering her name into the search bar I came across a video where a lovely softly spoken girl painted an amazing portrait of my favorite youtuber. I was so inspired by her art and after watching all her available videos, I decided to that I wanted to draw again. Your video pushed me to get off my behind and now I am in my second year of college working towards my dreams and am almost done with an AA in art. I just wanted to say a huge Thank You Jamie as your art inspired this artist to continue on towards her dreams. 💜💜💜💜 🙏🏻

I remember being in a horrible relationship with a guy that basically almost reduced me to an eating disorder. And one evening my friends, whom I barely saw anymore because of said relationship, convinced me to go to the movies with them. I reluctantly went along and I as was waiting for one of my closest friends to arrive, I was told that she would bring a fellow student, whom she had been friends with for a long time. That was May 9th, 2014. Today is January 28th, 2019, and as I'm writing this, that guy she brought along to the cinema is sitting next to me, at his desk in a flat that we share! I just can't comprehend that one little decision, me going along even though I didn't want to, lead me to meet the love of my life. I don't know what made me say yes, but whatever it was, it changed my life! Life is funny sometimes. And it's so beautiful!

I was shy and quiet growing up. After losing my best friend there was nothing in my life. Until one day. My mom was tired one day, and even though now she avidly walks, she wasn’t in the mood on this particular day, but she still went. As she was walking she saw one of my friends from school, she wasn’t really a friend but my mom thought she was. This “friend” was walking with another girl named Peyton. They started talking and my mom invited them inside for some water. Peyton, who turned out to be our neighbor was doing a summer camp at the local theater. Thinking this was a good idea to get me out of the house, my mom signed me up. Little did she know that this camp wouldn’t only make me more social, but it also became my greatest passion. I always think about that. If my mom hadn’t gone on a walk, I don’t think I’d ever find acting. I don’t think I’d ever be the person I am today. I don’t talk to Peyton anymore. But, if (a BIG if) I ever become famous and win an award, Peyton would be one of the first people I thanked.

Oh my god when you said Hanks video was a big part of your life and RUclips in general I started crying because after my bestfriend was diagnosed with brain cancer I found that same video and that helped me through him passing away a few years later. Vlogbrothers has been such a big part of my life...those videos are some of my last memories with him and I continue to watch and support them in any way possible. He would wear the same outfit to school every day, and I just had to know why, so I started talking to him. I found out he was just doing a social experiment and he found out I had never seen Star Wars. He was so appalled, and he came over to my house every weekend to have me watch them all. After we finished Star Wars, we kept watching movies each weekend, and now we’ve been together for 7 years and married for 2. I’m so grateful for every second I’ve gotten to spend with him.

I'm in High school with a part time job and, by most of the world's standards, my childhood has ended. I couldn't disagree more. In a way, I feel like my childhood has only recently begun. When I was little, I wanted nothing more than to grow up, but, now that I have to an extent, I wish had embraced the advantages of childhood more. But instead of getting super upset, I just keep going. I wear bows in my hair and I've slept with the same bear since I was 2. I like wearing cute things because they make me happy and my purse is more like a stuffed cat. I've never dated, let alone had a boyfriend, but I've never really wanted to date. I have my crushes, just like any teenage girl, but the right guy will be OK with less dating and more just hanging out and getting to know each other. As for important moments in my life, One of those is discovering this channel. While I already did some painting, If I hadn't accidentally seen your Greatest Showman painting video, I know I wouldn't be painting nearly as much as I am and I would have never randomly decided to paint Hugh Jackman without ever painting a human before Life is made up of a million decisions that lead a billion different places, but God knows where he's sending you, so enjoy the ride and, If your a major daydreamer like me, enjoy the hundreds of little stories that make up the big picture that is you.

I think that if I hadn't seen that video I wouldn't have found the nerdfighter and youtube communities that taught my to embrace my nerdy passions. Learning the value of prioritising my own interests over following the crowd at a young age absolutely shaped me, and I think its the reason why I'm ultimately following my dreams & passions into a career in film/the arts.

The most significant moment that happened with my partner and I was my addiction to pizza haha, I got pizza quite often at the store he worked and this one time he saved my details and found me online to ask me on a few dates. We're still together now 4 years later. If it weren't for my pizza cravings I would never have met my best friend and the love of my life.
You guys are adorable. My husband and I ended up meeting at a homeschool group and in high school. He asked me out when we were younger but I told him no. A few years later we ended up talking about his photography on Facebook messenger while he was doing FEMA work in New York while I was doing art school I’m California. I met my wife online and it was love at first sight it wasn't one of those moments where she took my breath away she actually brought life back into me, I became brighter. That's a beautiful story! I love thinking about all the little things that had to happen to get me to where I am today. I don't have a concise enough version for a comment, and it is likely not that interesting to most people anyway! I just love stories though, and it is crazy how if one little thing is off, it could have changed so many other things. Things were meant to happen for a reason.
Probs the most important thing for me, was when my friends showed my Stampy when I was 8, and then he and Sqaishey where the best role models I could have, I probs wouldn’t be as kind, or fun-loving (I can be very serious by nature), or creative - and they’re still a great inspiration to me.

I really wanted to be friends with a couple of particular kids but I was too shy to talk to them. So in class one day I finally felt courageous enough to write a note on a torn bit of paper and slid it across to one of the boys: "can I hang out with you at recess? y/n" and I remember being so anxious that my heart was racing and my stomach was doing backflips. He circled yes! Now we've been bestfriends for eighteen years :)

I remember being in a horrible relationship with a guy that basically almost reduced me to an eating disorder. And one evening my friends, whom I barely saw anymore because of said relationship, convinced me to go to the movies with them. I reluctantly went along and I as was waiting for one of my closest friends to arrive, I was told that she would bring a fellow student, whom she had been friends with for a long time. That was May 9th, 2014. Today is January 28th, 2019, and as I'm writing this, that guy she brought along to the cinema is sitting next to me, at his desk in a flat that we share!
I just can't comprehend that one little decision, me going along even though I didn't want to, lead me to meet the love of my life. I don't know what made me say yes, but whatever it was, it changed my life! Life is funny sometimes. And it's so beautiful!

I met my husband at my sister's wedding when I was 16. He was the best man and I was the maid of honor. I remember walking down the aisle with him; little did I know that I'd be taking a similar stroll with him later on 😄
This year we'll be celebrating our 12 year anniversary! We are extremely close, our personalities mesh perfectly and I wouldn't change a thing 😁
I was shy and quiet growing up. After losing my best friend there was nothing in my life. Until one day. My mom was tired one day, and even though now she avidly walks, she wasn’t in the mood on this particular day, but she still went. As she was walking she saw one of my friends from school, she wasn’t really a friend but my mom thought she was. This “friend” was walking with another girl named Peyton. They started talking and my mom invited them inside for some water. Peyton, who turned out to be our neighbor was doing a summer camp at the local theater. Thinking this was a good idea to get me out of the house, my mom signed me up. Little did she know that this camp wouldn’t only make me more social, but it also became my greatest passion. I always think about that. If my mom hadn’t gone on a walk, I don’t think I’d ever find acting. I don’t think I’d ever be the person I am today. I don’t talk to Peyton anymore. But, if (a BIG if) I ever become famous and win an award, Peyton would be one of the first people I thanked.

Oh my god when you said Hanks video was a big part of your life and RUclips in general I started crying because after my bestfriend was diagnosed with brain cancer I found that same video and that helped me through him passing away a few years later. Vlogbrothers has been such a big part of my life...those videos are some of my last memories with him and I continue to watch and support them in any way possible. Its amazing to see how far you have come and how much you have grown. You were an inspiration to me back in jr high (~7 years ago), and still remain a role model to this day. It makes me so happy to see the way both you and your husband adore each other. I met my husband in theater class in high school. He would wear the same outfit to school every day, and I just had to know why, so I started talking to him. I found out he was just doing a social experiment and he found out I had never seen Star Wars. He was so appalled, and he came over to my house every weekend to have me watch them all. After we finished Star Wars, we kept watching movies each weekend, and now we’ve been together for 7 years and married for 2. I’m so grateful for every second I’ve gotten to spend with him.

After many failed relationships that lasted to long, where I decided I was done trying. I met my now husband at a job we both worked at. It was instant sparks where we couldn’t stop watching each other, he’s my knight in shining armor that rescued me. We’ve been married for two years and are now expected our first child in December.
so sweet~ I wish I could have a super cool backstory XD haha, I left university last year and I was hoping to start my career but a year has passed and I still haven't got anywhere, I got broken up with, keep getting let down with interviews, social media is going nowhere, im stressed, I have hardly any friends and i only go outside like once a week. I spend every waking hour inside working and working because I am adamant that I am going to make art my career. its the toughest period in my entire life but I won't give up even still. i just hope this next year will work out :)

I'm in High school with a part time job and, by most of the world's standards, my childhood has ended. I couldn't disagree more. In a way, I feel like my childhood has only recently begun. When I was little, I wanted nothing more than to grow up, but, now that I have to an extent, I wish had embraced the advantages of childhood more. But instead of getting super upset, I just keep going. I wear bows in my hair and I've slept with the same bear since I was 2. I like wearing cute things because they make me happy and my purse is more like a stuffed cat. I've never dated, let alone had a boyfriend, but I've never really wanted to date. I have my crushes, just like any teenage girl, but the right guy will be OK with less dating and more just hanging out and getting to know each other. As for important moments in my life, One of those is discovering this channel. While I already did some painting, If I hadn't accidentally seen your Greatest Showman painting video, I know I wouldn't be painting nearly as much as I am and I would have never randomly decided to paint Hugh Jackman without ever painting a human before Life is made up of a million decisions that lead a billion different places, but God knows where he's sending you, so enjoy the ride and, If your a major daydreamer like me, enjoy the hundreds of little stories that make up the big picture that is you.

She and I met briefly in passing at a mutual friends wedding and by chance ended up taking the same night time college course about a year later. Through that course we became friends. Her brother came into town from Canada and she invited me over for dinner that Friday night for couscous. We met, talked for 2 hours that night, and the rest is history. 😊
That exact same Hank Green video (assuming you're talking about Accio Deathly Hallows) was a turning point in my life too. I trace a lot of things back to that video.
I think that if I hadn't seen that video I wouldn't have found the nerdfighter and youtube communities that taught my to embrace my nerdy passions. Learning the value of prioritising my own interests over following the crowd at a young age absolutely shaped me, and I think its the reason why I'm ultimately following my dreams & passions into a career in film/the arts.

I got pizza quite often at the store he worked and this one time he saved my details and found me online to ask me on a few dates. We're still together now 4 years later.
If it weren't for my pizza cravings I would never have met my best friend and the love of my life.

My husband and I ended up meeting at a homeschool group and in high school. He asked me out when we were younger but I told him no. A few years later we ended up talking about his photography on Facebook messenger while he was doing FEMA work in New York while I was doing art school I’m California. He ended up asking me if we could go on a date when he got back to California. That time I said yes. ;) We’ve been married for 2 years and will have been together for 5 years in November. The littlest moments end up making the biggest impact. 💜

We became best friends then we fell for each other and started dating . I wanted him , he wanted me . Life didn't want us together😔💔 i ended up moving countries and he did too . It is a fairy tale y'all live! I met my wife online and it was love at first sight it wasn't one of those moments where she took my breath away she actually brought life back into me, I became brighter. The moment that always sticks out the most with her was well there's two, when I was playing cod 2 zombies and she was sitting on the floor in front of me and I was so focused but I lean down and kissed her (we had just started dating) and when I was a nervous dork asking her to marry me in our living room and I tripped while doing so our song is "marry me" by Jason D. So my first job was working at Burger King. Logan was working at a movie theater that was a few stores down the plaza. One night he came in and we locked eyes. I instantly thought he was super cute. From that night on, he came to Burger King like every other day. We became very close friends. I didn't think he liked me more than a friend so I started to date someone else. That relationship lasted for six months and it was pretty bad. He was very emotionally abusive and every time something happened, Logan was there to make me feel better. After six months I broke up with this guy because I realized that I was in love with my best friend. I told Logan I was in love with him and he told me he felt the same way

That's a beautiful story! I love thinking about all the little things that had to happen to get me to where I am today. I don't have a concise enough version for a comment, and it is likely not that interesting to most people anyway! I just love stories though, and it is crazy how if one little thing is off, it could have changed so many other things. Things were meant to happen for a reason.

Firstly, you are a gem! You're so sweet and talented :) This is wonderful! As for a little moment that turned into something absolutely wonderful... when I was 10 I was excruciatingly shy and had only recently moved to a new school. I really wanted to be friends with a couple of particular kids but I was too shy to talk to them. So in class one day I finally felt courageous enough to write a note on a torn bit of paper and slid it across to one of the boys: "can I hang out with you at recess? y/n" and I remember being so anxious that my heart was racing and my stomach was doing backflips. He circled yes! Now we've been bestfriends for eighteen years :)

High School sweethearts. Been with my husband 8 years and married 4 years. My best friend at the time had piles of notes on top of her desk from her boyfriend. She said I can only pick one note and read only one. I randomly just picked one like she said. It had my husband name in the note they were saying how they feel bad that he doesn't have a girlfriend. We looked at each other and was like perfect. My friend wanted to do a blind date I didn't like the idea so I asked another friend what he looked like. I went up to him, got his number, and we have been in love ever since.
