- "House of Horrors" survivor Jordan Turpin graces the pages of Elle Magazine. Growing up in captivity, Turpin says she had almost no interaction with the outside world except for a few outings. In the most unlikely turn of events, she became a social media star, posting videos with upbeat messages. Despite her newfound fame, the 22-year-old admits that she's still dealing with lots of trauma.
What a strong, amazing young woman. Somebody please protect her from the filth in the modeling industry so she isn't used and abused again!
When I heard this I was like oh no! Hope she’s not exploited. She seems naive.

She probably feels pressure to do something with any opportunity she’s being given to help her and her siblings . She’s in such a vulnerable place I hope she’s being watched over by ppl with good hearts
I'm extremely happy for her because that girl overcame alot of hardship as a kid thank God she finally got the balls to run away and get help for and her siblings it was her that got away she should be labeled as a hero so now this girl deserves everything good life has to offer!!

I don’t want to bring down this happy moment for her but she was sheltered majority of her life I do wonder how naive she is. The modeling world isn’t kind and is full of drugs and sexual harassment.

yeah i really hope they have better, truly good people looking out for them now. bc even after the parents got arrested a bunch of the kids had to sue because they were placed in yet another abusive home where some of them experienced SA :( they've been through too much!!! wishing them all the utmost healing and as you pointed out hope they all stay safe in this crazy world and learn how to protect themselves the best they can from the insanity of it all!

@@allkpopislife8540 Hasn't it been over 4 years since she escaped? We get updates on her life every now and then. We don't see her often enough to know if she's moving on too fast or at all.
@@allkpopislife8540 Apparently after they're being saved from that horror house, things doesn't get better for them. They're all basically put in broken system, and that just another horror story for them.
The older brothers and sisters having serious difficulty fitting in society, and I heard the younger ones who get adopted also got abuse. They don't even received most of the money fund that people send for them, because of the corrupt system. I heard one of her older brother even need to beg money so he could buy bicyle to get and apply a job.
So, she start to makes a lot of content on Tiktok in pandemic time, and she's doing great on the platform and feel happy because she could help herself and her siblings. And now I heard news everwhere she signed contract with modeling agency. I think her priority now is to provide and survive, I believe and have faith to this young lady, and pray to God that she will handle the upcoming obstacles like a champ, because she deserves it, and all her siblings also deserve it.
Don't forget, she is a fighter.
I really hope she gets a manager that puts her well-being first. I’d hate for her to survive that ordeal just to go through another type of hell. I’m extremely happy for her though.
"Manager" and "well being" don't go together. A manager is not a therapist, their job is to market and sell a product to as many people as possible and in that case, the product is her.

I don't think social media is the best place for her to heal. It's also full of sociopaths! Such a wonderful and beautiful young lady!!! I'm afraid she's not aware of the danger that's out there in that field. I really wish her all the happiness in the world, and I hope she'll be protected!!! 🙏❤️
She didn’t have social media for her entire life up until now. The sociopaths were her own parents holding her captive. Let her explore the world ❤

But yeah she lacks the social skills to navigate fame. With her trauma, shes likely to get into drugs (if not addiction) in a "fame" environment.
I hope she still connects with her people and tries to stay grounded but uh.... Not a lotta hope there.

I am so very happy for Jordan !!!! She is such an inspiration. And I understand completely how she feels when she talks about crying daily. Trauma doesn't leave you, you have to be able to process it each time the energy resurfaces, and keeping moving forward. Trauma is like a scar, though the scar heals, you never forget what caused it. I pray she keeps safe and surrounded by good supportive people.
I'm proud of how far she has come. I just hope she's able to surround herself with kind people who won't take advantage of her.

Oh bless her. She still would be so vulnerable and has only recently been removed from a lifelong traumatic situation, now to be instantly thrust into the spotlight with no chance of adjusting to regular life properly, it seems like too much too fast. I really hope she doesn’t get taken advantage of or overload herself. I hope she’s getting adequate support and help.
She has survived a hell of a lot worse than anything Hollywood or the modeling world can dish out. I think she will be just fine and she deserves all the love and support she can get.

It might make her feel like there is nobody in this life she can trust or turn to if they use & abuse her to. I mean after everything that's happened what else you gotta lose at this point? She only had to gain afterwards and she gained everything she wanted now, she'll be fine.
