I made one a while ago but made a mistake of using a ruler to mark the diatance of the holes and ended up being 1mm off. I like the little spacer block idea. I will have to remake it.
Beautiful Workmanship, The bearings, which were the 10 mm and which were the 12 mm, assuming that this is the O.D. of the bearings, could also tell us the size and lengths of the screws you used? Where did you purchase the red lock down handle screws. Thanks in advance
thank you 10mm bearings use 5mm bolts and 12mm bearings use 6mm bolts. A length of 20 mm is sufficient. I used 12mm because I didn't have enough 10mm bearings. You can use just one of any. The red knob is a 4mm bolt. All of these were purchased from Ali Express. It's been a while so no link, but you'll find it easily if you do a search.
After you set the stop on one side you could just turn the piece around 180 and drill the other end, no? It would be the same distance. I like the little bearing idea will definitely use that. Thanks
The method should ensure that the position of the center hole is in the exact center. It will take longer to verify that. So the way I showed you works more precisely. thanks
@@carpentak You already verified the spacing for drilling the first hole, you're just repeating the same process on the other side? Personally I think by doing a second move it just introduces another chance for something to move/shift. But you do what works for you.
@@Belg1970 Yes, I marked the first hole in the center. But I don't think it was exactly centered. I can't say that my tape measure is 100% accurate. Also, there may be very small errors in my central hole drilling process. So I think it's more accurate to work like that as I have shown.

Very nice and beautiful indeed. But maybe a bit too much work about a little jig that can be simpler, and be made with a bit less effort and resources? Sorry about this little criticism.
Thanks for the comment. Of course, you can also simply make it quickly. But I wanted to make my own cool and special tools, and I put a lot of effort into showing them off in a video. I think that if I make a nice tool, my videos will be more interesting. Also, there are people who learn carpentry by watching the way they make and show work.
This video was very useful and interesting. I have a question. Where can you buy a pen like this? Can you send me a link from the website you bought it from? Thank you.
Thanks for the comment. I bought the pen from this site. However, it is only sold in Korea. You will probably find a place to order if you search by name. I know this pen is made in England. www.winextool.co.kr/m/product.html?branduid=1000007343&xcode=055&mcode=010&scode=006&type=X&sort=order&cur_code=055010&GfDT=bmx7W1U%3D

Also are there plans for this?
There is no plan.

Brilliant.
I would have liked to be able to have dimensions a links to hardware used for these
Very nice work
Nice, I always test center finders by going the opposite way too (turn the center finder around). If I get two lines, then it is wrong.
incredibly clever as always. You need to come to New Zealand and teach me.
thank you. I also want to go to New Zealand and meet you.!! New Zealand is on my travel bucket list.
No bla-bla-bla, very good...

verry good
Tuyệt vời 👍👍
