  • It's been nearly a year since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan forced tens of thousands of people to flee the country. The lucky ones were airlifted out, but many more are still in Afghanistan or stuck in neighboring Pakistan, waiting for visas.

So they've refused to fight for Afghanistan.... maybe Ukraine should give them a chance and see if they will fight for freedom there?
Here's another tip. When you're fleeing from Islam, be sure to leave Islam back in your home country. It doesn't really do any good to relocate the problem to a different piece of real estate.

Don't be naive - it's one of the most sanctioned places in the world. Afghani's can't even travel or move around either. The US spent 20 years making them into a defunct state. Before that it was the Soviets and before that it was the British.
At least it's been 9 months of "independance" to some degree.

A lot of people are blaming the US for the ills of Afghan or more specifically the taliban rule.
If after 20 years of trying to build them a better country they refuse to fight for it are they really now surprised when focus is changed on to a country that is actually fighting for democracy?
Maybe Afghans just not worth fighting for?
I do think we are doing wrong to afghan if we leave all the sanctions in place or refuse to allow those we have promised access to live in the west but in both cases slow and steady has to be the way.

I do agree with lifting Sanctions and Returning any Money Seized.
The Afghans have chosen who they want to Govern them. They did not invade another country.
It's their choice to revert back to a Medieval Society but that's a good reason the West should avoid any interaction with them.
However that said I also think Afghans should not generally be allowed to Travel to the West.

The US went into Afghanistan for what exactly? 9/11 was done by Saudi's and Al Queda. No weapons of mass destruction exisited in Iraq, then they moved to Afghanistan - Still don't know the reason why.
