I knew Monty with the first episode of Dead Fantasy in 2007. And it hurts very much. Everytime, after the intro, "Created by: Monty Oum" appears, I cry and thanks RoosterTheeth for believing in him and in his projects.

Every time I see a tribute, it brings so much sadness because a life ended that had many years ahead of it. A flame snuffed out but that flame always leaves smoke. Just like he left inspiration. They could have ended RWBY all together but they didn't. RT kept going because the knew Monty would have wanted that. It shows us that all good does not have to end, that if there is even a simple spark , that things will keep going. It shows he is never truly gone. Though it has changed, the animation feels like Monty is still there, standing next to the current animator, with a big smile on his face. big enough to makes us understand things will get better.

Honestly this tribute brought tears to my eyes. I didn't get into rwby until long after Monty died but he truly did create an amazing thing. I truly hope that he's in a better place and that he rests in peace. It's a shame his life was cut short so young but he will never be forgotten by those who loved him. Sidenote, I feel so connected to these characters it's like their real lol and if I'm being honest, sometimes I get seriously saddened by the fact that their not real. The same could be said about certain anime and it's characters as well lol.
Kendrick BaldwinTV even as the animation and pacing took a dip, the well written and very human (no offense to any rodents in the room) characters is what really kept me with it. Weiss in particular develops as a character from somewhat generic rich mean girl to the strongest character in the show. I hope Monty is proud of what is being made of his work.
This show will always be missing something. Montys touch. It can never be the same. It never will. And even though that will always be the case montys influence will continue. Even now he will continue to inspire us and the show he creates will live on to make us happy as it always has. You will be missed Monty but that's to be expected. Well. A day early. He died on February 1, 2015. One day I'll never forget, since it also happens to be my birthday. I wish I could have had the chance to just meet him once.
How lucky are we to have known someone who would be so hard to say goodbye to. So many things have changed for better or worse, and we can't wait to tell him all about it when we see him again.

I came across RWBY halfway through volume 2, instantly falling in love with the series. I have yet to find a show that got me hooked and emotional like RWBY. If I ever had the chance to talk to Monty, I would have thanked him for inspiring me to start back animating and molding for old PC games. We will all miss you, Monty. Rest well, Friend.

I have no words.. I only knew of RWBY at the end of volume 3. I am still sad that he died, even if I didn't yet discover RWBY when it had happened. I had finally figured out he had died when I was looking up in the internet who the creator was. I'm glad my friend introduced me to the show. I will always love the show. And I'm glad the creators never stopped making episodes after the tragedy that happened during volume 2. We're at the point where we are waiting for volume 6. Only if he could see how popular the show has grown. The work that goes into this show is amazing he would of been so proud I just wish he could of seen it all happen, but now he can be with the Rwby characters and live apart of it in the afterlife.

It's been close to five years since we lost Monty Oum. And in his loss, emptiness and sadness has come to his place. Rooster Teeth is in a Dark Age. Everything they've strived for has turned into ruin. But the first two volumes of RWBY will forever remain great treasures. But we must live. For his sake. Monty said himself that Red vs Blue and Rooster Teeth as a company was supposed to entertain us in ways that we wouldn't or couldn't find. But has it really? Not a whole lot, in recent years. We're at that point where we just can't take anymore. Soon, there'll be no bridges left to burn anymore. I don't know what to do.
But thank you for this tribute to a friend lost.
Monty will always be remembered. His legacy is shown in every RWBY episode through the characters he created.
Rest in Peace Monty Oum. You left us with your inspiration, your skill, and everything else. You might not be there anymore to guide us, but you have guided us enough in the past, we know what to do. We know you would have loved rwby to keep going, that's why it kept going. You are honourable, you are skilled, I could go on. Even though we haven't met yet, we will one day. Im glad they haven't ended the series yet. RWBY is by far my favorite anime, and I was highly impressed on how things have progressed with the story, the characters backgrounds, and the animation. Also I do love how its all from what monty worked on. It made me tear up a little, I love it!!!!

I came across RWBY halfway through volume 2, instantly falling in love with the series. I have yet to find a show that got me hooked and emotional like RWBY. If I ever had the chance to talk to Monty, I would have thanked him for inspiring me to start back animating and molding for old PC games. We will all miss you, Monty. Rest well, Friend.

A genius has perished afew years ago. Someone who made a difference. At the beginning I personally didn‘t want to watch it because of the artstyle. But I forced myself and I am happy for having done that. But I am sad that Monty will never see the end of his own show. We will always remember you Monty. Rest in Peace pal. You‘re the best.

I know. I've literally been watching RvB my entire life as i was born the same year season 1 aired.
I swear it's been years and i still can't get over Monty. He was such a great talented guy.

I have no words.. I only knew of RWBY at the end of volume 3. I am still sad that he died, even if I didn't yet discover RWBY when it had happened. I had finally figured out he had died when I was looking up in the internet who the creator was. I'm glad my friend introduced me to the show. I will always love the show. And I'm glad the creators never stopped making episodes after the tragedy that happened during volume 2. We're at the point where we are waiting for volume 6. All will miss him a great amount, and the show will go on! OUR HEARTS OUR STRONG AND RWBY WILL GO ON!!😐

I only got into RWBY about 2 chapters before Volume 5 started but when I was told that Monty wasn’t actually alive, I was devastated.
RIP Monty Oum, you’ll be remembered and your work will be cherished by everybody who watches RWBY from here on out.
