- Joyride 2024 was one for the books. I've always dreamt about getting invitd to Crankworx in whistler to ride the legendary Joyride competition. It's the superbowl of slopestyle and everyone want's to make it there. I've been doing that event now for almost 10 years and managed to get a podium there the first time I ever took part in it in 2016. Ever since then I've wanted another podium there and it's been on my list of goals and dreams ever since. In this video I'm taking you guys along for a deeper and more personal journey through this crazy experience. Hope you enjoy this format and we'll be back with normal videos very soon. Thank you all!

My name is Max Fredriksson! I’m a 28 years old professional MTB athlete from Stockholm - Sweden! After becoming the vice world champion in 2016 I’ve dealt with a ton of injuries from contests. I currently compete at the highest level of Slopestyle MTB riding in the ’’Slopestyle world championships’’ at Crankworx events all around the world. When I’m not at contests I love and enjoy creating short films on youtube for you guys and bring you along to show what I do other than the daily intense training and constant traveling or competing.

Mad respect not just to Max, but to all these athletes. As a 47 year old man who has played all sorts of competitive sports, and who has seen this Joyride course in person, the mental component necessary for this sport may be the most intense of all sports. To calm yourself down yet keep focused yet be confident in the face of overwhelming anxiety, fear, general nervousness, etc and then perform with pinpoint precision, fluidity, and style while death follows you down the course, smiling, waiting. The release must be incredible. Chapeau 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Whistler is soooo gooood. Do you know the Size of the Kicker from the last jump(mini trickjump) on small line at your compound? lengh, height and Radius would be perfekt. It looks so good for small tricks and 360s and so on. Bist wishes and congrats on the podium!!🔥🔥🔥

before your run it sounds like before my race run yesterday missed practice day and then had two punchers in my only two practice runs the second of which i had a hard slam it was just a level of stress i didn’t need at that time in the morning before a race
