    Really nice!! Thing Iove about your video's is you cut right to the chase and you don't turn every video into a "how to crochet" video, you just dive right in. That's so refreshing from most crochet video's on youtube, and for those of us who are seasoned hookers who don't need the slip knot explained. :)

    Happy New Year. You’re fantastic. Love this. I also like that you’re also using lighter weight yarns in your projects too. A thiner yarn gives a more floaty/softer look imo. Personally, I find thinner yarn more comfortable to wear. Whenever I use worsted weight yarn for garments it kinda makes my garments look stiff if you know what I mean, even after washing. Keep up the great work. I will definitely make this pattern. X

      @TCDDIY  4 года назад +2

      Thank you! Happy new years to you too! 😁
      I like using both, but it's hard to find a cat 3 yarn in the colors/amount that I want. Let me know if you have any yarn suggestions, i'm always looking for new yarn to play with. Also, tell me how it turns out when you do. ❤

      @@TCDDIY yarn suggestions....I just got my second ever online yarn purchase from lovecrafts.com yesterday. I bought Paintbox Yarns Simply DK. I ended up paying $1.99 a skein after a sale they were having plus a 20% off coupon for your first time ordering from them when I signed up for their newsletter. I saw a review of 5 worsted weight yarns here on RUclips, it being rated the softest. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Shipping was less than $5 and I got it within a week! I apologize for such a long reply but since you asked, it truly puts other yarn to shame. Thanks again!

    • @Twinkley1981
      @Twinkley1981 4 года назад +2

      T CD I agree with Paula, paintbox yarn is beautiful, so soft and they have a sale on too. I’m from the UK so haven’t tried too many USA yarn brands, but the ones I’ve tried are so stiff. I love paintbox yarns, they have a great range of colours and they also do a pack of 5 balls for bigger projects that work out cheaper too. I’ve used their DK weight 3, aran weight 4 and chunky weight 5 acrylic and it is all lovely and gives a lovely soft feel to garment.
      For your garments though and how many tutorials you do, you would have to see if it’s financially a good thing to use different yarns. I could imagine you use a huge amount of yarn and that can cost a fortune.
      As long as people following along to your patterns use the same hook and weight yarn they can choose different yarn themselves. Keep up the great work. Xx

    • @Elaina944

      Thanks for responding but, I forgot to finish my. Comment. To make the front panels, I leave two or, three spaces for the neck and then I divide the number of chains that I have left. This gives me the measurements for both front panels. I want to learn the way that you’re making but, making the space for the sleeves is so confusing. I’ll keep watching. Maybe I’ll get the concept.

    I’m a little late to the party. I just saw this yesterday and liked it so much I purchased the pattern. I am a little disappointed that the pattern doesn’t clearly explain how to make this in a bigger size, unless I missed it. I am very good crocheting scarves and blankets but clothing is a bit intimidating. Can you please explain how to make this larger? Thanks. I also plan on making your Pineapple Stitch duster after I master this one.

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the purchase! Our patterns give numbers for a size small and have tips/links to the video on how to size up or do the next section. Since we start with the back piece it's about getting the shoulder width. So start by making the back panel from shoulder tip to shoulder tip. If you'd like further instructions we'd be more than happy to assist you through Etsy or Instagram. 😊
