It's the little things that people in the flyers organization do that made them special, I want to say it was 2014 or 15, we drove all the way from Barrie Ontario to Philadelphia to catch a game, the emotions of growing up watching the team then one day to finally be standing on the steps of the Wells Fargo was mind blowing , I remember I was peering through the glass where there were some elevators and I see someone walking down the hallway, that person was Lou Nolan , he gave me a smile and a little wave that's all it took, I was blown away by such a little gesture. I want my old flyers back .
I have discovered your show recently and truly enjoy watching regularly. As a hard core fan from January 11, 1976 when the Flyers beat the Russians I rarely miss games after moving to SoCal in ‘79 . As a physics and math professor I always scheduled my classes as not to miss a single game for years. I’m fluent in many languages and I’d not mind helping you with pronunciations of Russian or Ukrainian names, since most are being butchered regularly. Another interesting fact is that some of names are related to animals: Ovechkin is a lamb, Orlov is eagle etc. Maybe you already know this , just FYI. Keep up a good work!!!
Excellent work boys, Mr Hilferty feels like a comfortable return to Home with a modernized approach. The best is yet to come for the Flyers under this new stewardship. Outside what was covered in this interview if I had one question to ask would be if the Flyers will and or are planning to properly retire Pelle Lindbergh’s #31 and finally welcome him into the Flyers HOF ? We are approaching the 40th anniversary and these two honors are long overdue..
Absolutely LOVE the show and will continue watching each and every week. However, I keep it real and all of that hype for an interview with Dan Hilferty was a massive let down. Congrats to you guys for getting that interview (which is a big deal for you) but I think it was a big miscalculation in terms of what level of excitement this would garner from fans.
Sixers would be fools to not partner with the Flyers to stay at the WFC & then plan together. As for the Flyers, I feel a sense of optimism I have not felt in 20 years!
I dont really get why the Sixers are so keen to leave. Philly is one of few cities in the country that has all their stadiums in one location within the city. Building up that area is something the Sixers should be begging to be part of.
I am excited for this team again and having a guy like this in charge helps that excitement. I will say this, I will absolutely get impatient at some point because it’s been so so many years of frustration. Hopefully, and I think they will, DDK will actually talk to us like humans and keep the fans updated along the way. It will definitely help with the guaranteed frustration to just let us know along the way where we are truly at. Nobody wants to hear that this or that player is coming along nicely……when everyone knows it smoke and mirrors. Hope that makes some sense
Love what you guys are doing and congrats on the success!. Great to hear from a CEO who doesn't hide. But the Interview became weird though with the sixers stuff. Pretty obvious that was part of the deal for him to come on but had to speak about the sixers. Seems unnecessary... I get it but that didn't make him look good and brought back the resentment us fans have towards Comcast. Clearly calculated from a corporate standpoint. Besides that ... Still love you guys. Just a major miss from the flyers standpoint. Not you guys.
Idk about Russ Ant Sanfillippo but I wish there was a way to hire a producer so he or she can start hitting the boot button in live Chat for shows. And you can tell Evan is a brat that's never been slapped around as a kid. Cause let me tell you if Evan grewup in coal region I can guarantee you he wouldn't act like he does now as a grown man. Cause people like me would of smashed his ass growing up
Sorry guys this interview really didn’t further the discussion. Honestly 1.5 hours of what we have already been told from the Flyers since the big presser for the “New Era of Orange” won’t sway me one way or the other. The stadium drama with the Sixers was an air ball. Also I’m tired of being told “well I’m and average guy who’s just a fan like you” by corporate types, it’s condescending. The difference between the avg fan and Dan Hilferty today is way different than it was between Ed Snider and the average fan in 1975. Stop trying to recreate that and just fix the team, that’s all that counts. Look at the Phillies, they do great things with fan experience and PR but it wasn’t until they made the playoffs that fans bought in and lived up to the Philly fan reputation. Despite this episode I’m still a fan and will still watch/listen.
This was great!! I am so much more comfortable with Dan Hilferty and his vision. The openness to improve and build and taking input from all sources.
GREAT EPISODE!!!! Dan was awesome!!!

I watched "ice wars" with my dad, totally loved it.
If they can find a way to fix the helmets, it'd be perfect
@joyonbroad, now that that's out of the way, can we discuss getting a solid goal song for the year?

Keep drinking the orange Kool-Aid
The only flavour that matters. That yellow shit in Pittsburgh is nasty.
Who is actually spending 1.5 hours listening to this corporate propaganda.
All I can say is....WOW What a breath of fresh air...😂👍👍👍👍
that was really un-interesting
Just imagine if the flyers win a cup in the next 3 to 5 years?
It will be even better then '73-74.
Michkov with Conn Smythe.
GO FLYERS!!!
Auesome

Be an adult and just ignore him but sure advocate being violent while riding your high horse.
