Ah, the benefits of being an 80s kid. Getting to watch ALF in prime time. Monday nights were always fun back then, watching ALF, and then the Hogan Family. Both were funny shows!
I remember to promos for ALF before even the first episode was broadcast. It said it featured a wise cracking puppet "ALF" (Alien Life Form). living with a family on earth Most thought this would most likely be a BS show.. However, the ALF character was so strong and funny, it became an instant sit-com hit BTW ALF was from the Planet "Melmac. Melmac was a trade marked plastic that some dishes were made of , I think this humorous fact escaped some .
I laughed a couple of times, but the thing is some of the things that were supposed to be funny came off as shocking, Willie being trapped under a grill and Alf not even helping him despite it being Alf's fault. 😱🥶
I know its been 2 years but there is an episode where Alf made 10k dollars and Willie took 7,5k saying that it was whats he spent on Alf in the 3 years they liced with him.
You forgot the scene from the ALF Christmas special where ALF collects some holly from the woods and gives it to Willie, not realizing it is poison ivy.

Willy is so great in this series, but Alf is truly awesome his voice in French version is awesome, 1970's and 1980's american tv shows had great French voices :) and they made the show more fun Starsky & Hutch for example but Alf too, Alf's voice in French is more fun and endearing, but this is such a good tv show thanks!
Can't really agree to that, but I think it's a matter of taste. The first time ever I saw Alf was when I zapped through the channels and landed on a french speaking channel, where a show with a weird talking puppet was running. I found it so annoying, especially the voice of this ridiculous creature. Didn't know anything about it, when a few weeks later this show started on german tv. "Oh there's this puppet again... but with a much better voice!" And I loved it.

One joke not in the video that is memorable to me is that the one Melmacian who correctly predicted the planet would explode and warned everyone died in a mental hospital. She died when the planet exploded. Everyone thought she was crazy. lol
This was one of the best tv shows of all time but under 1 condition: german dubbed. The original isnt all that great but what made it great was the german dubbing. I hate dubbed content but this is one of the very very few instances where it actually added to the quality
Willy was SO contributing to this series....his dialogs with ALF were the best out there
