Just found your channel a few days ago when searching for art small business vlogs. I have been poking about with the idea of pursuing an art career and one of the things I wanted was to "do little half drop repeating patterns" and put them on redbubble stuff and spoonflower early on. I had NO idea that this was an industry with a name before finding you! You have opened my eyes to a whole new world and I am really enjoying watching your videos, learning, and formulating something like a plan for myself to move forward. I know you havent posted in a while, but I hope you come back with more content one day!

I found your channel through your balancing a full time job and art video and I just binged like all your videos! It’s so nice to find another artist who works a “real” full time job and lives a similar experience to me. It’s just nice to see a realistic view of that lifestyle, as I’m sure we all compare ourselves to full time artists a lot. I even have a cat too haha! Anyway so glad I found your channel and can’t wait to see where you go in the future! ❤️☺️
Ikea makes great drawer units I have one paired with my standing desk as well for my home office. Also have some cubes from them which work great. I would also mention that to save some desktop space to get some monitor arms to mount the monitor to the desk rather than having it sit there, I added that to mount two additional monitors on my desk and it freed up space that the bases took. I also have a light mounted to it.
Loved your thought process setting up. I’d love an update on how your goals/stages to set up an art business have gone in the last 10 months since posting the video after you’ve properly settled into your new home!
i love your cats sm :< but wow! the space is on the smaller side but you definitely made it work really well! a drawer or small shelf to the lefthand side of your desk may be helpful to you. ikea has some pretty helpful shelving and drawer solutions, even for small spaces depending on what you're looking for. congrats on the spon and the new desk! your lil studio space turned out awesome! :)

I had a WFH set up on the same desk that I intended to paint on, and then I never painted on it because it felt like my work space 😅 I think I didn't have the consistent habit anyway, but maybe thinking about concrete ways to separate work time from art time would be good in case the same happens to you! Like turning on a specific light or lighting a candle or having a painting playlist. (Preaching to myself here omg) .
oh man i really want a standing desk. I've been living in my new apartment for about two months but haven't bought anything except for a folding floor table and a bed mat (and blankets & pillow.) I'm afraid of buying "the wrong" thing (and I'm scared of spending $$$.) I hope the desk works well for uuuuuuu. It's HUGE. The ones I'm looking at are like little baby desks in comparison
