    Grumman shuld build a latest version of this aircraft with the latest tecnology. This aircraft type could fly for the next half a century. Useful for today's market requirements. Be it military or civilian use. Beautiful to see it fly with the latest turbo prop fitted on it.

      Saw several years ago that a company had formed to build Mallards again. Initially either piston or turbine powered. Piston dropped.
      Don't think production ever started as they were unable to secure a sufficient number of commitments to justify production. Probably be a $6 million aircraft.
      As romantic as some planes are, eventually their time passes.

      @@davem5333 well I think China built their own amphib and Japan too. Since the US is focus on the indopacific why not revive this airplanes which is very useful to recovering downed pilots ISR and supply to islands in the Pacific. Or arm it if need be just like the PBY during WW2

    hey man love your channel and ai am a huge mallard fan. maybe that would be a bold question to ask but can you care to share checklists for the turboprop version of grumman mallard ? I am an engineering student and trying to understand its operation and systems. Many thanks
