Binibining Pilipinas 50 Beautiful Years

Binibining Pilipinas celebrates its 50th year this year and the search for its "golden" queens will definitely be one of the most anticipated by pageant aficionados after world-class feats by its recent titleholders in international beauty pageants restored the Philippines' exalted position in the world pageant arena.
The Binibining Pilipinas Pageant has successfully produced world-class beauty queens in the form of Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1969, Margie Moran, Miss Universe 1973, Lara Quigaman, Miss International 2005 and many others. It vaunts three recent successive wins at the Miss Universe Pageant via TV host and commercial model Venus Raj's 4th runner up victory in 2010, top architect Shamcey Supsup's 3rd runner up win in 2011, and UST BS Pharmacy Cum Laude Janine Mari Tugonon's 1st runner up title which she won only a month ago, officially making her the 2nd most beautiful woman in the universe.

So far, Amparo Muñoz Quesada is THE MOST NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL MISS UNIVERSE (1974). A beauty with brains and principles, she'd stand and fight for her convictions in true, typical Spaniard fiery passion. She gave up crown and resigned reign 6 months later when she resisted pageant organizer manipulations, refusing a trip to Japan. Yet never been officially dethroned, she is the first and only Spaniard so titled. She died of Parkinson's Disease in 2011, now rests in God's peace by Christ's grace.
