Like all the trolling of these Classic Series clips saying we 'need' a new trailer for the next Jodie story, not what they've posted, because they say the show is in trouble and needs to be marketed how they say.
Which is like the football fan in their armchair, screaming at the telly that their team would be assured victory if only they'd listen to what they are shouting to do.

@@eonetim ah I get you! The fans yelling at the TV what to do when it isn't realistic that will happen. I just am tired of all the hate for Jodies run when you can tell everyone tries the hardest to bring out enjoyable stories! That tries to be consistent with the universe while also being new. I personally, enjoy everyone of Jodies episodes and each one she has very beautiful moments. And that's something that rtd/moffat was missing. They went for these grandiose adventures and missed what the doctor was about. They got all mixed up with these crazy fantastical titles and names. Instead of having fun adventures. And Jodie has such a love and care as the doctor it is so tender and pure and just beautiful. I'm honestly stunned at the hate, and I'm saying it as a long time viewer.

BBC shoving Doctor Who against 18 million Corrie viewers while repeatedly slashing its budget and begging for an opportunity to take it behind the woodshed is what killed the show - and it's easier to blame whoever was holding the flag when they finally got their wish (without thinking about everything that preceded it).
Seeing as they were already cutting 90 million corners -- including safety regulations -- time was never a luxury during this era, nor was it receiving any real support from anyone, and that began long before McCoy intentionally overplayed his rolled R's to entertain gluttons during a meta-commentary about the show itself (and the people watching it).

I remember tuning in for the new series (or in reality watching a recoding) and being disappointed to find that instead of seeing Colin Baker (whose departure I didn't even know about) I was watching the guy from Eureka. At the time I didn't think he was right for the role, and found some of his performances in TaTR rather clunky. Now I know why they were clunky, because the lines were written with the expectation they would be performed by Colin Baker. This was around the point I stopped watching.
However, I came back to the show watching repeats on UK Gold during the mid '90s. I actually came to like McCoy in role, and enjoyed his stories.
