Interesting note: UConn's Sweet 16 and title game opponents (Iowa St/Kentucky) were higher seeds in their 2012 bracket (SOUTH - #1 Kentucky/#16 Western Kentucky, #8 Iowa St/#9 UConn).
as a KU fan, i think ISU takes this game if they had a healthy Niang. if UCONN only won by 5 without him playing, they probably wouldnt have won had he played
Uconn was up 10 most of the 2nd half. Because they hit a 3 with no time remaining, you think it would have been different? Learn the game. Uconn dominated
Damn, then I guess Uconn should take back there national title for 2014 because ISU was missing a player. Cuz that never happened to Uconn or any other school over the years that had cost them a game or more in the tournament. Wait it happened several times. Its part of the game. They should split there national title with ISU I guess.
@@philipgodin9379 I don't think I said anything like that. Just saying that I disagree with you saying Niang doesn't make a difference if he plays, because he would. But I think you kind of already admit you were wrong about that when you say uconn should split the title.
I agree. Uconn wanted it badly and Niang was not always known for his...lets say, passion (I mean, is he even in the nba now??). He had the talent but the heart was never there.
you coul say that about just about every team at some point. It happens. Jerome Dyson went down, you couldd say Uconn should have played UNC for the championship instead of M State. Or when AJ price tore his acl, etc etc etc

@@philipgodin9379 Niang was one of the best PF in college basketball. No doubt he makes a huge difference this game if he plays.

Doesnt matter pointless debate. Catch up on school
Hat tip to the Cyclones for hanging there heads high. Even though the L hurt
Iowa State won that 2012 game lol.
UConn played great but definitely looked like they got some calls...
+y held Not really, stop blaming the refs and learn a little about basketball.
Did you even watch the game? Most games have called that at least somewhat favor one side. I'm not blaming the refs.
The Huskies drove more. I watch all Uconn games. Iowa st. tended to settle for jump shots which tend to lead to less foul calls..
Who knows what could've happened if Niang was healthy this game
+Duff Buff Uconn would have won by 1 instead of 5.
I don't think Niang would've made much of a difference in the game.

Who got injured for Uconn in 2000? I forget but it was vs. Tennessee.
