This and Confide In Me are her best songs imo. Love the mature sound she was doing at the time and prefer it to her usual dance pop. She has never looked better than in this video either. Gorgeous and she actually sounds great.
@@DanielDinelli Oooo im intrigued, especially since Kylie isn't really known for her vocal prowess! I'm definitely going to check it out. Thanx for the recommendation
Empress you are a joy to watch. On top of your infectious warm smile you are actually very skilled at picking up melodies and lyrics and critiquing them. Thank you from Australia.
Oh you’re doing Kylie! My favourite Kylie song is Your Disco Needs you. You should check out the video!!!!!!!! It’s got a very Xanadu ish vibe - KYLIE has mentioned she is a massive olivia fan too
If you want to marvel at Kylie’s soprano upper register, and watch a super chic 90s video, check out Kylie’s Confide In Me. Australia has this annoying cultural habit of diminishing people’s success, especially when they project sophistication and appear like they’re “above” their roots. We call it “tall poppy syndrome” (like cutting the heads off the tallest poppies in the field)… Kylie copped a LOT of this attitude throughout her career (accusations she couldn’t really sing, that she was a try-hard imitating other pop stars, that she’d forgotten her roots) but it only takes a look and listen to her best stuff across the decades to see she is a world class talent and performer 💖 PS: Shout out to 90s music video budgets!!! The days when music was a physical product and videos were million dollar commercials that could generate huge profits when the song was a hit. Now they’re more like lavish PR for streams and keeping the artist out there to make the real money touring. I’m a music video director and even the biggest acts now have to feature products like cars, alcohol, phones, watches etc in their videos because record companies only front budgets of between 30K and 200K in most cases, so if you want more you gotta place that product! The video for One Republic’s Connection (which I co-directed) was around 200K until we featured Lavazza coffee and Jeep in it, and that bumped our budget up to 280K. I have friends who were directing back in the 90s and it was WILD how much money was thrown around! 💰💰💰
The album this is from and the follow up are the most musically interesting she's done, however since her sales dropped she ran straight back to disco pop Kylie, and she's great at it..
Kylie sounds a lot like ONJ in these vocals. 'A Little More Love' has been my Earworm the last few days thanks to your reaction recently. Memories from back in my early 20s. Thanks, Empress!
KM94 is my favorite Kylie Album :) My favorite song on this album is Surrender (a nice sexy r&b sounding song) and Falling ( Another Great Sexy song ) . Very underrated :) Great reaction
Omg! Kindred Spirits! I’m bout to do my PYINMP reaction video! Kylie went too hard with the lyrics and the vocals especially that Fever Live Tour! Whew!! “But before you decide you won’t be mine put yourself in my placeeee” whewwww!!!
@@EmpressReacts Yeah, this is a situation where you’d tell her to stay in her lane. Glad you’ve become such a fan! I’ve got just about everything she’s ever recorded. Giant fan.. if you couldn’t tell already Lol
Some great songs Id recommend; All The Lovers, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Get Outta My Way, Into The Blue, Spinning Around, In My Arms, Red Blooded Woman, Love At First Sight, The Loco-motion, In Your Eyes, Come Into My World, I Should Be So Lucky, On A Night Like This, Slow, 2 Hearts, Timebomb, Higher (with Taio Cruz) (just to name a few :))
YESSS! Kylie Barbarella!
This and Confide In Me are her best songs imo. Love the mature sound she was doing at the time and prefer it to her usual dance pop. She has never looked better than in this video either. Gorgeous and she actually sounds great.
This "Kylie Minogue 94" era is my favorite of her. Such an underrated pop moment. So classy and she sounds very mature.
Yaaas! That's what I also noticed her pitch doesn't seems so HIGH. This was a good look and sound
@@EmpressReacts in the 94 album we have Dangerous Game, where she hits a very high note and Confide In Me, that's my favorite song of her.
