I bought the first volume on the major scale two months ago, and I'm still working on it. Excellent practice to master this mother of all scales, and to learn to move fluidly throughout the fretboard. I have no doubt I will buy this new volume. Thanks Mark, I appreciate your work.
Loving volume 1!❤ Wondering when vol 2 was going to be released and what was going to be about. Thanks Mark for this great (and unique) stuff to learn and master the freatboard! (and the scales). 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I think I’d love to see a release covering arpeggios all over the neck. (Perhaps even chord progressions? 🤔)
Great lesson Mark. Can you demonstrate one of the more difficult keys like Bb (no open strings) which does not sit as well on the bass like A and E do? Thanks!
Every key will be in the book with unique fingerings per key. I’ll do a live hang later this week and demonstrate. Be sure to be signed up to the website and look out for email notification.
Mark, how high is the action on your Fender Precision neck? You move effortlessly around the neck with no discernible buzz. Would you share with me how you have your bass set up? Thank you!
It's pretty average. Not low. Not that high. If you set your truss rod with a little relief, have your frets nicely level and play with a fairly light tough you should be fine. Then it's just basic technique. To be fair, I have been playing over 30 years. You just get better technically over time.
I’m having trouble with a song that seems simple enough to play, I’m sure it’s simply a matter of me simply sucking but I feel that I need help. I’m practicing “Another one bites the dust” by Queen and for some reason I feel like I’m stumbling with the main chorus. The step from the C note to the open A note the to the D note feels to choppy, it feels like I’m rushing over the open A to get to the D note. Do you pluck the D note or doe you play it as a hammer on? I’ve tried it both ways and plucking each note feels choppy and not very smooth at all. If I play the D note as a hammer on then it feels natural and smooth, however I feel like I’m rushing it and can’t seem to get the timing right to make each note pronounced. The problem with a song Another one bites the dust is that the song is completely bass driven so if one note is wrong you hear it. Any thoughts?
Here's a good transcription: ruclips.net/video/giNV4b0WoOA/видео.html It seems there are no hammer on notes. The solution is simple - just slow the track down and practice while listening to the song. It's the only way.

Can't get enough!!!.always a great lesson as well as delivery 😊
Great exercise that is easily made musical.
Anything with the much-overlooked A natural minor automatically gets a Like from me - its linear symmetry is great for learning the neck 👍
Thank you very much indeed for this video.

Both are coming. I’ve planned out 12 separate volumes. Triads, seventh chords, progressions, intervals and more.
I'm liking this!

This exercise move diagonally along the fretboard and through different position .
What was the lesson you mentioned in the beginning of the video?
Hi, I was wondering if we should practice alternate plucking for this exercise?
This is just one of 96 Etudes???? Holy Cow!!!
