So this song is about dealing with grief. He's talking about how he can't run away from loss, he has to deal with it. The entire album that this is from is about Mike dealing with loss and grief. Outstanding album, one of my favorites from 2018. This is one of my favorites, along with Promises I Can't Keep, Watching As I Fall, and the deluxe track Prove You Wrong.
Mike Shinoda is a musical genius!! Musically and lyrically talented. He’s a great artist all around. Huge component and mastermind of both Linkin Park and Fort Minor.
Mike's Post Traumatic album is incredible. It's a very personal album he did after Chester's death and it's a window into his grieving as well as him trying to think about where his career may be going. Mike is essentially the mastermind behind Linkin Park but a lot of people cling to Chester at the forefront, so there is this whole aspect of 20 years of work suddenly coming to an end. It difficult/strange/saddening for any of us to imagine Linkin Park without Chester. The other members have explained how they would only go forward when and if it feels right. And even though Mike made these songs about all the things he was thinking or going through it's still very relatable. Can't hear You now, Hold It Together, Make it Up as I go are highlights. Brooding, though an instrumental makes you feel something. Mike is underrated, even within the larger Linkin Park fanbase.
What was amazing about his solo tour was that every night was a different set list. I saw the Orlando show, and then have been watching various other recordings on RUclips, and he has some songs he would usually play together, but order between the building blocks and which blocks he used changed every show. Insane to think about.
This whole album is a progression of grief that he felt after Chester's passing. It really should be done from start to finish. The first 4 songs are hard to take. He lost his friend, his band and livelihood. Everything he was passionate about. Please start at the beginning. Place to start Over again Watching as I fall Nothing makes sense anymore RIP Chester. Miss you.
Mike is a paragon... everyone has to deal with a loss one day ... I also miss Chezzy ... I have nothing to do with him and yet it's like I miss a family member.
It only took a year to get the fire squad on board but we finally getting these Mike Shinoda requests through! i know he’s goIng to love - About you ft blackbear
Great reaction. The other artist is named Grandson. Blood//Water, Riptide, 6 O'clock and Remedy are some of my favorites by him. Don't sleep on his stuff.
Ayyyy don't sleep on my boy Grandson!!! Saw him perform here in Fresno BEFORE he started to blow up!! Great song but also different as well. Check out his stuff. It would be cool to see his work on your channel big dog!! All love!!
"LInkin Park - I have not begun" or stuff off of Fort Minor , like; Kenji, Red to Black... honestly the whole Rising Tied album is a straight rap/hip-hop VIBE
Much love you giving to Mike. You should take a look into more of his work. You'll be impressed. Edit: you should check out his new tract "ziggurats". You'll enjoy it.
Wasn't really paying more attention to the "other guy" (AKA "broke Jack Harlow" haha) until that beat dropped and I heard his signature vocals, then suddenly I was like "Oh fuck, that's *grandson!* I thought I recognised him".
Add Chester in with the backing vocals, and you can't deny the connection and how it would sound. It is like this song was written for him and Mike together.
I feel you about 90 and 10 🤣🤣 but I take like 50 and 50 when I'm feeling angry or self hating I take that hate and angry and just grind it out with the job or project remember that feeling and use it as fuel to push to the other self love and happy and it will be like a brand new day like I never suffered or experience bad times and loss so you gotta take that other 50 bro to reach your true potential.. I love your channel bro!!🤘👺

He is so talented, almost 20 years following his work and he NEVER disappointed me!
Possibly most underrated person in the music industry, let alone rap. The man that does everything.
This song was incredible at his show. So much energy with the beat drop that’s usually Grandson’s part but Mike did it

Saw mike in concert in Anaheim 3 years ago! He performed this song!!! So amazing!!!! RIP Chester!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Great reaction. The other artist is named Grandson. Blood//Water, Riptide, 6 O'clock and Remedy are some of my favorites by him. Don't sleep on his stuff.
Grandson sounds like Tyler Joseph a little bit from Twenty one pilots in this song. I’ll have to listen to some of his stuff, he seems pretty cool.
@@baileymcmahon7509 did you like his songs?
The man, the Legend. Mike Shinoda. Always a treasure.
Ayyyy don't sleep on my boy Grandson!!! Saw him perform here in Fresno BEFORE he started to blow up!! Great song but also different as well. Check out his stuff. It would be cool to see his work on your channel big dog!! All love!!
"90% of the time I'm all self love and positivity 10% I'll slap the shit out you" 💀
Im A huge huge fan of mike, he hits hard on those verses, always spitting truth. love that man. he's awesome
That guitar brought in a nice little bluesy feel for the end and i think it fit perfect for the subject matter of the lyrics.
"Nothing makes Sense Anymore" from post traumatic, will 100% make you cry
Finally Mike Shinoda was actually acknowledged!
Really love Mike, thanks for reacting to him. Hugs from Sweden.
Yes!! More Mike! React to some of his Post traumatic album.
"When it goes from all 5 to a solo" :( the Linkin Park reference feels
Could not imagine how he felt but most of all, the talent is all still there!
Also, Grandson, is amazing. Check out Blood in the Water
You should check out more of his older music under the name of Fort Minor. In Stereo, Where'd you Go, Petrified are all bangers guaranteed💯

Bro that’s not a “broke version of Jack Harlow” that’s grandson! He’s freakin amazing! Check him out!

Well he ain’t a rookie. He’s been perfecting his musical ability for more than 20 years. I also credit him with the Linkin Park sound.

He's done Kenji already
Random comment, but I really love the way you edit around your cuts. You keep it on rhythm and it’s so smooth you almost don’t notice it. Great job!

YOOO EARLY SQUAD I love this channel of yours love from the UK 😃💯🙌
"Running from my shadow now my shadow's my only friend"
Damn mike shinoda needs some recognition as a rapper. He's not as big as other rapper because he's known from a rock band. Mike shinoda is legit

Literally hits different
Bro you need to react to Grandson- stigmata or blood/water, this man goes so hard
Lol! We said Jack Harlow at the same time! Freakin killed me!!! 🤣
Loved this reaction. 🙂
both artists are sick af
I wouldn’t doubt if he produced the beat and was also playing guitar on this song. So glad he kept making music after C.B. passed.
He does everything himself. Same with his Linkin Park albums.
Watching As I Fall by Mike next 🙏🏻
Add Chester in with the backing vocals, and you can't deny the connection and how it would sound. It is like this song was written for him and Mike together.
Please for the love of God I've been asking for 3 years. Mike Shinoda - I.O.U needs to be done. It's the hardest shit he's done.
You should definitely check out the fresh released Mike Shinoda - ZIGGURATS (Full EP).
LISTEN TO: Don't Sleep - Lil Wayne
That beat is amazing!
This beat is pure crazyness!!!!
Mike shinoda is great.
