Here’s why I just bought one
    No more trailer flat tires.
    No trailer inspection
    Better fuel economy
Less distance to walk back and unload
    No trailer maintenance
    No trailer insurance
The big advantage is you can park anywhere
And anybody can drive it which isn’t true with a trailer
Compact for parking in a driveway after work.

And the big one.... no need to stop for DOT inspections if you keep your truck at 10,000 pounds or under GVWR. Especially in the month of May they target landscapers around here there are times when the commercial inspection enforcement is borderline harassment this goes for all vehicles not some not just semi’s they target landscapers dump trucks you name it.I’m in New York State and you can’t go very far without seeing some form of commercial enforcement inspection checkpoints and it’s nonstop until the coronavirus before that it was out of control.

Everything is still exposed to theft, rain and paint fade. I’ll keep my enclosed trailer for the same price and still be able to use my truck bed for hauling anything I need. Not too mention you get into an accident your equipment is heavily subjected to easily getting damaged hanging off the sides of your truck.

Commenting from Canada on this intriguing invention . Price for us would be 40 % higher . I still would consider purchasing it . I learned not always get upset about the cost of an item but to look at what it can safe me or how much money I could make with it .
Gas savings ,break down savings of trailer , purchasing price of trailer . If all of that is subtracted how much is left to pay? That is the actual price that I look at .

Salty 76 Lax I know what you mean. But for the majority of residential business you don’t need a 60in. Unless you have some large high end customers. Most yard are less than 1/3 acre. And even the +1 acre lots don’t have the clear space to take advantage of the cut of a 60in path. That’s at least in my area.

Where? I can't find an enclosed trailer for less than 7k. The cheapest on CL right now near me is a 6x10 for 4,750. Not to mention that enclosed trailers destroy fuel milage and with these fuel prices saving 3-7 miles/gal is massive savings over a year. Of course the ramp rack will lower fuel mileage but I doubt even a third as much as an enclosed.

It costs as much as a trailer but you have less space than a trailer. you can carry a 72 inch on a trailer so keep Trying guys

Leo Juarez I haven’t seen a pick up truck bed that’s 72 inches wide 😂. It’s pretty obvious you wouldn’t use it for that. It’s not necessarily for everyone.

@@MC-rr3ew It certainly has it's application . I would probably want it on a dedicated work truck but as far as rendering the truck useless for anything else , I'd say that is way short sighted. You can remove it in under and hour I'd bet and put it back on when you need it . Set up a hoist line in your garage and probably 10 minutes on and off. The convenience factor for tight parking neighbor hoods is big time IMHO.

@@roofking2314 Rear view really doesn't matter. Think of all the box trucks and semis that don't have rear view mirrors. The side mirrors are only going to be blocked depending on where you place the racks. Depending on the mirrors you have you could just extend them out if needed.

    • @christopherallen9615
      @christopherallen9615 4 года назад +1

In all fairness I realize they have to make a profit. And I know a lot goes into painting. At least paint that's going to hold up for years. And I really hope for the price that that paint is going to be Automotive quality. If it's just trailer paint it's going to be rusty after just a few. But that being said I feel like the price should be closer to a couple thousand. Including ship. And even that for me would be the top of the budget. I'm fortunate that I know how to weld. I've done a lot of off-road vehicles. I feel like I could make it myself and paint it or powder-coated and weld it to where it could be bolted together. And for probably more like 1,500. But I that a lot of guys around me who are into Lawn Care, get a lot of these neon colored accessories nowadays. And they're always getting new Skaggs or new John Deere's. I think a lot of this is guys doing this on the side and basically just trying to pay for their equipment with their mowing. I do it for a living. I run Toro Husqvarna and Stihl. And I really want an enclosed trailer but I'm currently using a Steel trailer because it also is good for Arbury work in landscaping which is something I've got along background in. The trailer I'm using is one that I gave about $1,000 for through Tractor Supply. I've been using this trailer for about eight years. To be honest it would really be cool to not need a trailer but like I said, I'm not doing this to be cool I'm doing this to put food on the table. I'm about 3 or 4 days a week mowing and do landscaping /arbory the other three days a week. I usually work 6 day weeks minimum with one day off this time of year. Then I travel in the winter time. When I'm not working, famy time is critical. I wouldn't sude hustle if I could. Anyway, sorry for the rant. This thing is cool! Best of luck erbody

I think it depends on what route you want to go with your company. It might not be for everyone. The benefit is not having to tow a trailer. One huge plus is parking. Working in the city parking can be hard with a truck and trailer. This would be another great option. Thank you for watching!

I can see this working for the 52" and under crowd, but truck payload will be questionable. A diesel 2500 from any of the big 3 are low 2xxx lbs payloads. If you run two mowers plus the weight of the rack itself you'd be overweight. A 1 ton or a gas 2500hd would be most ideal for something like this at a minimum.
