Any depreciation metrics you see on EVs, look to see if they take into account the $7500 Federal EV tax credit. Virtually none of them do. For example, if you buy an EV for $50k, then get $7500 back as an EV tax credit, sell the car for $40k. Is the depreciation $10k or $2500?

But here, the concern is the magnitude of depreciation within the first one year (up to 30%). What is the meaning of rebate if you lose money more than the tax credit in depreciation? Even before paying your predatory loan.

People say that Taycan is the worst depreciating EV with 75% in two year.
So I am looking like crazy for the 80K base model what should be used be on sale for 20K.... but it isn't, not even close

But Taycan is luxury. Luxuries depreciate fast, irrespective of the drive train. The focus of this video is mainly on mainstream vehicles.
