@@aliciamarie9704 I'm afraid you are misinformed. They left tons of records in the form of their Sagas. They are written in Old Scandinavian language, which is just the same as the modern Icelandic language that has not changed for 1000 years. Famous sagas are Heimskringla, Völsunga or Grænlendinga. Or the Edda by Snorri Sturluson. The sagas describe the way they lived, believed, fought, discovered... these sagas were told from generation to generation, until some day someone wrote them down in form of a written saga.

@@Athos42 The Volsung Sagas are very interesting, its amazing how much inspiration Tolkien has gained from them! Very in depth stories of lineage, wars, power gained, and lost. The deeper you dive into it, the more there seems to be!
@@volfgangtwins They really are! I like Eiríks saga rauða! Leifur Eirikson tells about his voyages to the American West Coast, to Vinland, Helluland and Markland. They were said to be prose for centuries, until they discovered the Viking settlement "L'anse Aux Meadows" in Newfoundland. As Carla about it, I'm sure the knows it.

I live in Houston Texas USA. My indigenous ancestors on my dad’s dad’s mom’s side of my family ancestry and my mom’s dad’s side of my family ancestry used a lot of those same symbols.

своими руками создать это все .и при этом видеть и слышать это все .достаточно того что мы видим и слышим. а потом почему все так происходит, наверное какие-то алгоритмы присутствуют .в отношении звука произношения и голословия пусть и культурного даже без матюков.

Unfortunately this is not a Viking symbol but an Icelandic symbol used by occult Christians in the 18th century.
The Vegvísir symbol is found in the Huld Manuscript as well as two other manuscripts around 800 years after the known Viking Age. However just because it is defined in records at that time, does not mean it was not used earlier by Northern Europe. Reykjavik, the home of one of the first Norse founders of Iceland (Ingolfur Arnarson), tells us that Iceland was inhabited by men of Norse Pagan belief from the Viking origins of Scandinavia. Those core beliefs came from before the Viking age from old Germanic tribes. So how old is this? No one knows. We don't think this was CREATED in 1880, but came from a much older period of time. This alone tells us that there is a link in this symbol to ancient origins, written or not. Christian or not, the core meaning across all definitions is consistent. It is a magical stave to protect and guide. Does this not mean people can believe in its meaning? Or rather, not validating the Symbol and rendering it in-genuine as "Viking"? Why is there no identical symbol in other Christian areas of the world? This is our interpretation, and this how we will use it in our artistic expression, regardless of what others think or read about. Instead of looking at what IS known, try to mentally see what is NOT known. Maybe things are more complicated than it appears on the surface.
