      Glad you enjoyed it! We have a fossil event planned for Aug. 27 at the museum if you are interested in meeting two of the people in the film.

    Very informative. Thank you. I fossil hound Lake Ontario and find all the same fossils as the ones you have.😊

      The base structure for our region runs across Ontario. It just so happens that our shoreline reveals wonderful trilobites easily seen.

      Hello, Library and Museum staff would be happy to assist you in your research. While our staff are not experts in paleontology we can help with access to resources. Please email museum@thebluemountains.ca to make a research request and include a photograph of the fossil.

    how do fossils geodize

    • @TheBlueMountainsPublicLibrary
      @TheBlueMountainsPublicLibrary  2 года назад

      Geodes form when groundwater filled with minerals seep into pockets in rock. The crystals form using the minerals and the water evaporates. These crystals can form around anything in the rock.

    "Yep, I started as a plankton and I'm retiring as a plankton just like my Dad and his Dad and his Dad and his Dad and his Dad and his..... "
    Plankton needs to get some goals.
