if you like this kind of music you should check Manitas de Plata.he was also known by the nickname the Picasso of flamenco,ways much better then Paco de Lucia.
sorry to violently disagree, but Manitas de plata had no understanding of compas and he mostly resorted playing distorted versions of free palos. He is somewhat interesting and authentic in what he did, but his technique was disastrous and comparing him to Paco, or any flamenco artist for that matter, is an absolute misunderstanding. hahaha. better than Paco. oh come on man.......... 🤣🤣🤣
I can’t disagree more with Propatria. Paco was the greatest flamenco guitarist of the second half of the 20th C. He had absolute mastery of the guitar and revolutionized flamenco guitar with outstanding technique and outstanding sense of rhythm. He accompanied most of the top flamenco singers in the 1970’s and 80’s and his recordings as an accompanyist are a master class in how to support a singer. There is no flamenco guitarist today that hasn’t been influenced by Paco de Lucia. Manitas had a poor understanding of the all important ‘compas’ or rhythmic count of the flamenco styles, a rough, rudimentary technique and a novice’s understanding of how to accompany the flamenco styles .
