I dont think we need to worry about *her* betrying *us.* I think we need to worry about *us* betraying *Paimon.* Thats why Paimon's abandoment issues have started showing, because its foreshadowing us leaving her

@@amandaslough125 I mean, the traveller doesn't seem scared about seperating from Paimon time to time, that doesn't mean traveller doesn't like her, but maybe something more important might make the traveller choose that instead of paimon
@@ElliFong Maybe there's a reason why she likes slimes so much. Not a lot of options to have edibles in the wild with the theory that she's a helpless child
She could be just lying, all this is probably just a facade and her acting but in reality she's an enemy just spying on us, my advice is don't believe every word this silver tounged little sh1t says because her whole existance literally screams sus
At first I thought paimon was annoying but now I can't really imagine genshin without paimon. Paimon went from emergency food to traveller's best friend/best companion
Something I noticed is that the traveler often finds excuses to send Paimon away for a few minutes when they have to hear or do something they think would be too much for her to handle emotionally.
@@rhonynn3555 I feel that too, but with the recent events, it seems she is slowly losing those anyway due to the traumas and hard experiences she went through so far
I always noticed this in the recent quests, Paimon feels fear whenever it’s mentioned the Traveller’s going out somewhere excluding Paimon. She really does feel scared when the Traveller’s absent around her.
Yep even if it is for a short time she gets scared for eg, when during lantern rite traveller stepped out with Xiao to talk alone when we took a lot time xiangling said Paimon was being restless.
Its absolutely because she spent so much time alone and afraid and with the traveller around, she feels safe and loved. She shows symptoms of PTSD related attachment disorder, with her trigger being abandonment. "You might just be one of countless stars, but to me your my whole world" when Paimon thinks about the world without the traveller, it brings back all the memories of hiding and hurting and makes the world feel dark and scary.
@@ThreeGoddesses I'd say there is a bit more to it than that. She's been seeing the traveler in those dire situations. I would say that this attachment and anxiety began more in Inazuma. As we are almost killed by the Raiden, and she has a breakdown over thinking we died, and again, with Scaramouche. She's probably now more scared than ever that we can actually die. Having seen us come close to it thrice now.
@@thexp905 I'm worried that she's so afraid of being alone she might eventually forget her own fear of danger out of love for the traveler and end up sacrificing herself to save them.
I've never understood the Paimon hate. People might just not like her voice or whatever but it'd be dull as hell without her comments. And all those scenes where your heart warms or she says something dumb or face palmy. That's friendship. Edit: Everyone jumping on the "HER VOiCE iS So ANNoying" I'd hate to know you people for just having a pitch in a voice, damn.
@@robertomilella1224 I'm kinda biased because I'm naturally quiet myself. They speak a lot in their voice lines with Paimon, so I kinda see it as selectively speaking. (Kinda like I used to do. I was borderline mute so maybe that's more of a relateable thing than anything else) Though, I can understand the frustration. I hope they add more voicelines like how they did in Sumeru. More cutscenes with some speaky.
Just becuz I am annoyed with her sometimes does not mean I hate her. I bet plenty of other people are like me, getting annoyed by her from time to time, but can never bring themselves to hate her.
I never hated Paimon but my eyes bawled when you showed the Paimon card that says.. We may be one of the countless stars but we are Paimon's whole world. We may only be the family she knew.. Damn! PERIODT.
It's sad to imagine Paimon eating leftovers and cowering with fear when there are monsters. I don't consider Paimon annoying, maybe because I use japanese dub. I skip most of every character's dialouge but for Paimon, I just love hearing her voice. I can't imagine traveling Teyvat without Paimon.

During the Sumeru Archon quest when the traveler attacked some enemies out of anger, instead of saying anything else Paimon just says, “You’re tired aren’t you?” That broke me because I’ve never had someone there for me like that and recognize what I felt. The traveler is lucky to have Paimon; we’re lucky to have Paimon.
@@Limestone707 during the subzerus samsara, traveler goes through over twenty loops witnessing helplessly as dunyarzard is slowly dying, which frustrates him so much to the point he took out his anger on some random kidnappers
Paimon is outstandingly loyal, she's virtually powerless and still puts her life on the line for our sake even if she doesn't necessarily gain anything from being with us
This is really sweet no doubt, but I still feel like there's something more to it, as if they're intentionally implying or foreshadowing something.. With how better the storytelling is since Sumeru, I can't help but feel like they're trying to set up a big plotpoint here, since these panic attacks have only been more noticable in Sumeru. This idea is from another comment, but the way Paimon reacts is somewhat similar to Collei freaking out from physical interaction, due to her past trauma with the Fatui. Could it be that she has some kind of PTSD from before traveler met her?
Paimon is a sass gremlin but she's *my* sass gremlin. The moment Paimon was frantically trying to awake the Traveler after the Raiden Shogun knocked her out, that's when I realized _exactly_ how loyal a friend Paimon was.
The sumeru archon quest made me really see Paimon as my own child Just seeing her there, waiting for hours for Traveler to come back broke my heart And Paimon actually crying because she thought she'd never see us again is just... Man, I really wanna give her a hug 🥲
Duuuude I still can't watch that cutscene without getting heavily teary eyed because it just pains me seeing her there, patiently waiting, not leaving at all even as she grows more and more afraid that we won't come back... And then when she cries... Dude, I just hope that the Traveler chooses her over the Abyss Sibling no matter what; after all, there's only one of those two who went out to try and help the Traveler after they almost got killed by an Archon even though she's a little floating child, and that wasn't the Abyss Sibling.
@@KyzenEXWhy can't Traveler choose both though? The Abyss Sibling suffered a great deal too and there's also been hints here and there that they were used by Khaenri'ah and even possibly got their memories altered. No matter what happens,I hope Lumine doesn't abandon neither Paimon nor Aether. They both need her😭😭😭
@@rirililili I personally think she doesn't care as much for Aether as Aether does for her. The first time they saw eachother, the first thing she said to him was a question about Dainsleif. Add to that the fact that eachother's paths are opposites. Lumine wants the Abyss to engulf Teyvat and destroy the Thrones of the Heaven, which would kill everyone in Teyvat. Aether, on the other hand, only cares about getting more knowledge from the Archons and their people, taking revenge against The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles and discovering the truth of the world to, perhaps, get closer to Lumine once again and escape with her. I think the decision relies more on what Lumine chooses: a) Be the Khaenri'ah Princess, the Leader of the Abyss Order or b) Joining Aether to defeat the Sustainer and flee from Teyvat at last along Paimon, if she is able at all to do so.
@@KyzenEX Saying Lumine doesn't care about Aether is a blatant lie.The Abyss Sibling has been all alone for more than five hundred years and the things they witnessed are unimaginable for us.Lumine as the Abyss Princess sounds colder to show Aether that she can be independent but her voice is still really soft towards him.(While Aether sounds more hopeful and more sad when talking to her)And she probably doesn't ask him about himself because it is hinted at that the Abyss Sibling is taking care of Traveler from the shadows.I can't even imagine the trauma the Abyss Sibling endures and in the Caribert Archon Quest it is implied that they also frequently woke up with a tear stained face and cried in their sleep. And I also theorize that the Abyss Sibling's memories could have been altered through Irminsul since they're no longer registered as a Descender and as a part of Teyvat instead.(Which was hinted at at a video in Genshin's channel of which I don't remember the name though. It was narrated by Venti however.)Though I wonder what happened to them during their stay in Khaenri'ah...(Do you remember Dainsleif saying that traveling gets too tiring for him/her sometimes?I sure as heck do.I wonder what that means...)
Paimon separation anxiety arc! I think that if I had a best friend who I spent every moment with for three years I might get pretty upset when they suddenly went away. I noticed this change too. Great storytelling!
@@shrimpman. Well there are yearly events that happen in the game like Lantern Rite and we've seen three of those so far so I think somewhere between 2-3 "years" have passed in the game. But Tevat time is probably faster than Earth time, right? Considering the in-game days are just a few minutes long.
The fact that she’s so wholesome, silly, and is always there for us ALONGSIDE wishing for our wish to come true back in that Inazuma fishing event makes it hard for me to believe that she’ll betray us …I also felt horrible leaving her behind I wish we have more choices to say nice things to her and accompany her I don’t ever want her to feel sad again
It's a loving hating relationship pretty much... as a little sister/sibling. Sometimes we disagree on things, argue on dumb things, pick on one another to "treat" Paimon the same level as others... finally admitting she is emergency food lol oh what a riot. When it comes down to it... it's like... _what it would be like if I started out the journey without Paimon? Will things be the same? Will I be able to defeat the enemies without any knowledge of their weaknesses? So many questions few of them answered_ At the end of the day really, Paimon will and shall be *OUR* little sister to accompany in this journey. Whether we love her or hate her, she's here for the long run
"She's like a little sister". Yes! 100%! And I'm speaking as an older sister. I think the traveler sees her like this as well, given how much the traveler teases Paimon, but will protect her no matter what. For example: during the Shadow Admist Snowstorms event, the traveler puts up an arm to protect Paimon. My headcanon is that the traveler doesn't like being separated from Paimon either, since they now have this sibling-like bond, and the traveler has already been separated from their twin
Paimon is truly the BEST travel companion we have ever gotten in a game. No matter how much we pull her legs but deep down we all know and agree that we all love her the most.
I never found her annoying, she is cute. It's not like she dosent help us. Some people don't actually see it but, she really helped us all along the journey.
I'm glad someone finally adressed this, It's great to know I'm not the only one that noticed Paimon getting anxious about the Traveller never coming back when they leave just for a second, honestly it's kinda sad that the fandom pretty much overlooked this because of all the hatred Paimon often gets, I know that sometimes she is annoying and I would be lying if I said she has never made me feel frustrated or annoyed, even though of her having this attitude she's still the only true loyal company we had in all our journey and one of the few characters that actually care about us and are there for the Traveller, not wanting things all the time (for example Amber)
Well of course Paimon doesn't "want" things all the time, cause she always get what she wants from following Traveler. Food, mora, treasure, protection and she rides on the coattails of Travelers achievements constantly saying "we" when she does nothing lol. Traveler does everything and Paimon just floats there and reaps the rewards. She's like Mona, but useless.
There is also the part around the 1st time the Traveller was in Sumeru and they fell unconscious for a few hours because of getting -high- in touch with the Divine Conscience or something along those lines. Paimon essentially panicked that Traveller wasn't going to wake up.
I love Paimon so much. Everyone says she's annoying, but she's adorable and is always there for us. If, at the end of the game, we have to choose between our abyss sibling or Paimon, I'm going with Paimon all the way.
At first i didnt understand why paimon was hated by the community, but then i realized that this community has raiden as one of the favorite characters even after all she did (including trying to kill the traveler DIRECTLY) lmao Poor paimon, a great character in the wrong community..
I mean Scaramouche is also well liked, there's nothing wrong with liking a character that isn't completely good, like if you're gonna talk about moral ground Paimon is pretty greedy, selfish and petty in numerous situations besides being told to shut up by some Sumeru characters for talking way too much or being straight up disrespectful so the hate would be justified in those terms. It's perspective more than anything to be honest, I personally don't like her much and have a hard time getting attached to her because of her personality, that said i hope they make something interesting with her character in the future, specifically because currently the only thing she brings is moral support and nothing else, they could have replaced her with anything else at the beginning of development and it would've had the exact same effect. Okay i went for a little bit long there lol, but i do hope they make her interesting, this is a good start hope it gets some development throughout the rest of the story.
@@c4denza511 there is nothing wrong in liking bad characters, but if you hate paimon for being petty and greedy, you should also hate raiden and scara for being absolute dicks, but i think i know the reason these characters arent hated like paimon.. Because they appeal to horny people.
This is a little personal but, somehow i always feel that the hate of everyone for Paimon is just like hate me. Because she somehow like me, sometimes too excited so the voice kinda high, that really hard to hear. Sometimes, i just always talk, show emotion so i don't emotionless. Sometimes i get too emotion and don't understand what is rude so often say something rude without knowing it. I had a habit to stick with the one person i first see so i just only need to communicate with them , ...so kinda always follow them. She genuine, more outgoing than me, also more confident. Seeing her confidence convinces me to be more confident. i slow so when she recap really help me. I always imagine myself as Lumine, and Paimon as my best friend, the friend that won't leave me, i could listen to her all day ( though know that someday i may not have enough energy too do so : )). When i see people say she annoying, somehow i feel uncomfortable, maybe it's because for me that word always trigger something. Or maybe i feel like they dismiss who i am, that i will only create discomfort for people around, i know it's strange but it's just my feeling. I do understand that people have rights to like what they like and hate what they hate. Yet, for me she more than just a character in game Edit: Thank you for reading my long comment, in conclusion i just want to describe how much she mean to me. Everyone have their opinion and i hope everyone can understand what i wrote because my English is quite bad.

Seems possible as we will have to leave tevyat and move on so killing off Paimon wouldn’t really affect the ending but would most definitely affect the traveller’s character development.
Got that feeling too. Since I've played Honkai Impact before this Game, I get the feeling that Hoyo just want us to get attached to Paimon little by little for us to go down the Tragic Route for that "Big Impact" they usually aim.
in the archon quest "caribert" she also asked us if we will ever get tired of her, which is another reason that she is actually worrying of us leaving her.
I think that in the final chapter Paimon will awaken some kind of dormant power, and eventually will die trying to protect us from some powerful being. It would be a heartbreaking scene 😢
It's understandable that Paimon deeply cares about the traveler (Lumine/Aether) she maybe annoying, but she's really sweet and has separation anxiety, which is really sad. Throughout every scene in the Archon quest whenever we're in danger, she's very worried and wants to help us when we nearly died
I noticed this too, during the Festivial and Caribert, Paimon had shown us her feelings regarding on how we might abandoned her becauses she might be beginning to annoy us.
Paimon saying those voicelines in Sumeru is literally the only reason why I fell into the genshin hole in the first place, so when I see her, my heart says thank you for being so amazing😭💕💕💕
Thank you very much for this video where Paimon is accepted and appreciated for who and what she is. Whether she is your Emergency Food, and many other names referred to her. Paimon is always there for us. I don't understand why so many toxic players in a lot of social media groups dedicated to Genshin just spout hatred against her. Learn to accept her for how she talks, her voice, attitude or behavior. She is the game's symbol.
This is why i seriously love her so much. I actually don't care much about her voice and I even don't usually put up sound but I always literally wished I can hug her and I feel connected to her. She's really the best
i absolutely love in one of the first quests when she says that after traveler finds their sibling they'll settle down in some place in teyvat. while traveler has one goal in mind, to finish their journey, paimon only wants to spend time with us. she really is the best travel companion and our bestest friend, i can't imagine a genshin world without best baby paimon
There was also the event where we get Kageroumaru, Paimon made us promise that even if she gets replaced as a companion, we promised to never forget that Paimon is our bestest companion.
Paimon is another variable that the heavenly principles wasn’t able to anticipate. She was meant to guide us to the correct sequence of events. However, I think they did not anticipate the closeness of the two. I feel like at the very end, due to Paimon’s love for Traveler, she may end up sacrificing herself, instead of her original purpose of being a puppet of the unknown god. Remember a line from one of the Melusine’s in Fontaine, she mentioned something about a string connected to paimon that leads upwards to the sky. I feel like this has greater significance, more akin to being a pawn/puppet of a more powerful being. As much as I don’t want that these sequence of events to happen, it is not farfetched, seeing how dark quests have turned on Fontaine.
After the bite the dust part of the Archon Quest, I'm honestly convinced that Paimon won't betray us but play a key role for a plot 4 years later, more likely be an emotional goodbye or could be a happy one
i dont really understand the certain hatred this community has towards particular characters. in many cases i just find it plain irrational. paimon was trying to take childe’s hit when traveller was immobile, almost got sliced in half while trying to desperately wake us up when raiden was approaching us and on top of that she has followed us into places that she either feared (wuwang hill) or places which were highly dangerous because she is the one who channels our elemental energy and is nevertheless aware that manipulation of elements is something that we crucially need. she taught us the teyvat language and provided us basic information about teyvat in which we would be lost otherwise. and yet people want to kill a child character that has helped us and cared for us the most just because they are “annoying”, while fawning over hot adult characters which have never given two shits about the traveler despite having their lives improved by him significantly… in a lot of cases. im not saying all real life elements should apply to fiction but i just can’t stand the fact that all of the tremendous hate towards paimon isnt even constructive. in most cases its just blatant statements like her en va being annoying- just tell me how the hell is that supposed to be enough of an excuse to villify her character writing? dont like her voice in this dub? fine, switch it to something else, its not that hard. and paimon isnt the only case. reckless pallad pushed sucrose because he was literally freezing to death and somehow the whole fandom pinpointed him to be the worst npc for it when you have npcs in the game that are so much worse. im sorry but they have chosen to place him into a cold corner and keep him in dragonspine while he was literally losing consciousness and well, him pushing sucrose when he was barely sentient was not anything malicious yet people make it sound that way. its just a reckless character getting into a reckless situation, how’s that so hard to understand. maybe i am playing a different game or something, seriously. edit: yes i have prolonged this comment and fixed some of the awful grammar. dont mind my rambling, this is just a bad rant and its not meant to attack anyone. edit 2: i got a bit sour in the reply section so i just wanna leave a note: to anybody who dislikes paimon or pallad, you are allowed to do so, i am criticising the approach and the lack of constructivity a lot of people have about it, not the taste itself, thanks. edit 3: i know this is kinda akward, i promise this is the last one but i just wanted to say that i have not aknowledged all the positive replies enough. thank you for taking the time to hear me out on such a lengthy and heavy take, it makes me relieved knowing that i am not the only one who’s considered this issue and has such opinion. kudos!
I would argue that Reckless Pallad and Albert are some of the most hated npcs in the fandom and they both are for different reasons. One annoys the crap out of everyone. Not only did Reckless Pallad make a dumb move to think purple=fire, he pushed Surcose and then shoved the traveler character. And after all of that, WE and Albedo with Sucrose had to fight a giant mutated op plant monster while he cowers in fear(see also, the three different fire beacons literally right next to him). Its just plain annoyance on top of the random event commissions we get where we have to save his *ss because he’s doing something stupid or Reckless. I get that its the joke but the joke gets old quick. Albert is just disgusting. If someone likes Albert as a character, someone is mentally ill. Creepy, stalkerish behavior, and obsessive. But we dont get any of that daily especially if your commissions are set to another nation permanently. You only really get it through snippet dialogue and implicit nudges in character voice lines which the illiterate majority of the fandom doesnt read. So someone much more in your face is much easier to hate, hence, Reckless Pallad is worse in the community’s eyes.
@@seraphywang4638 yeah but see the difference between albert and pallad? pallad does not have even a mere fifth of reasons to be placed under albert. sure, he pushed sucrose and traveller but he was barely conscious and freezing alive, of course he will register something bright as a source of warmth, it was obvious he barely knew what was happening. pallad is just a damsel in distress that unintentionally gets into trouble which has earned him the name reckless. albert is literally a visual representation of a dream stan.
I cried on the samsara scene and always moved every time she tells us sweet words... 2:11 I have a saved pic on my pc and other sweet moments by Paimon
As the oldest sister in my family, I’ve always have a soft spot her especially after the Sumeru quest. She may be annoying and rude at times but she’s honestly really sweet. I see my younger brother in her
These have been pretty noticeable and might relate to the plot later in the story. I would disregard it if it was only shown in Sumeru but it was interesting how she felt alone in the lantern rite when we left for like 2 minutes (ik these were alr brought up in the video lol) Maybe it might be similar to how collei gets panic attacks on when people touch her, as the fatui has experimented on her. So maybe before something happened to paimon, maybe someone close to her abandoned her and she never wanted to experience that pain again
I actually really love it when paimon appears or i hear her voice because it calms me when i hear some ominous music like when entering a withering zone
Paimon really does cares for us just from watching the scene when The Raiden Shogun was on her way to slash the living life out of us, she never ran away and if we had died there she would've been next for sure.
Actually the first time i saw paimon i loved her and i think she’s cute and silly at the same time tinder. I don’t know why people hate her i try to find something let them to hate her but I couldn’t
If the theory of paimon being the unknown god is true we'd be sad we have became bestfriend and also the guardian of paimon the protecter for paimon she's like our true support lil sister i don't want to lose her!😢
That scene during the archon quest at 0:26 where they were separated and she told the traveler about it literally made me tear up. It completely changed how I viewed paimon and she went from annoying to a character I would protect at all costs.
Paimon is precious, to be protected and will never betray us. Holy crap I never saw that card, that is so incredibly sweet. Paimon deserves infite pats on the head.
I started to truly appreciate her after the we will be reunited quest. That quest is the most darkest quest for me, so I am glad she is there to support us.
Especially that mamere world quest in fontaine, suddenly the traveler looked like he/she is gonna faint, paimon told traveler to rest a bit and she would do the work on helping mamere.
Nobody can realise how happy I am to have found this video.. Like it's the first time I find something that totally agrees with my appreciation and my analysis of Paimon!! I love her so much so thank you A LOT for this video
that also explains why she loves food and mora so much, they’re the two things that she needed to survive in the wild and struggled to get without the traveller
that's just how life must go on. we met people, made memories, made our time shines like a gold, then there will be a time that we must leave them Genshin is all about farewell one day when your journey finally comes to an end, we must bid our farewell. Paimon will be one of the golden memories for us, as for her, she will lost her whole world, except if Traveler choose Teyvat as their final destination
Paimon is an embodiment of anxiety and reflects many emotional as a segregate sibling of the traveler, so she could be picking up the Traveler's innermost emotions of Abandonment or the darker emotions of despair at the thought of abandonment would cause her a panic attack probably do to past trauma that Paimon consciously forgot or has suppressed considering how you find Paimon drowning. Paimon could be a kind of Empath where Emotional Energy is picked up from characters around her and Amplified giving her some of her personality traits which includes the hyperness and attitudes she shows at certain parts of your journey from mondstat where she is sassy to Inazuma where she is more conservative and childlike being afraid of certain interactions do to the cultural difference between the 2 regions.
Paimon may be a helpless child and afraid of many things. She can be silly sometimes, noisy and eating so much. But after all, she cares about the traveler more than her own life. She has a heart full of kindness and care. She is always on our side, so I will also bite anyone who hurts my Paimon QvQ
I don't care if the people hate her English voice, her voice in her moments of pure despair evokes my protective instincts, (to make a long story short I find her voice very genuine)
Paimon is companion, a friend, daughter, soulmate, lover or pretty much anything one thinks. Many will hate her, but she will always be my favorite char from Genshin impact.
I think that Paimon won't betray us in the future, but maybe she will help us with that lady we fought at the beginning of the game (maybe she is the key to defeat her?)
Y'know, when I first started the game I really thought she was just something I could make fun of, but up until the quest with meeting our sibling I really came to appreciate her company. Also, something I'd like to point out The traveler was probably Paimon's first friend ever. Like the video said, she had to survive out in the wild and despite knowing a lot about the regions of teyvat, had zero companions that she knew or knew her. By meeting the traveler, she made more friends through them. She has grown such an emotional attachment to the traveler and is scared to leave them because they have been the first friend she has ever had and doesn't want to lose them. Or maybe I'm analyzing things weirdly idk I still love her
When the game first started I literally was so scared that paimon left my side that I kept clicking the settings thing just to see her again. Now, I don't really mind it too much, but I still like to check up on her from time to time, I just like her company and it makes me feel like I'm not so alone, even at times where there aren't alot of npc around me.
I just wish they cut 90% of her dialogue that repeats past events or stating the obvious and expand on her guide role. Like being an advisor. Or they could try to write her slowly regaining memories again. Anything other than a newspaper from last week.
Btw, for the first time I almost cried about something in a game, and it was when Paimon started crying. Honestly never found her annoying I just thought she was adorable even though I did tease her, and even when there were times she pushed me off of places when she tells me not to explore the place ahead of us and I'd get annoyed because I died but at the same time that never really bothered me because she reminded me of one of my friend.
In some way, Paimon is the mystery I never really wanted to be solved. To me I’d be happy just with her being traveller companion (one that truely care and actually stays with the traveller). I know a lot of people would disagree, and wanna know, but as a lore story enthusiast myself, as long as we have Paimon things will be okay I find. In truth not all mystery can or should be solved. I’d be heart broken if either one of them betraying the other, so it’s the one thing I choose not speculate on. Paimon is Paimon, the traveler’s best companion.
She is so much more bearable when you have voices turned off. She is one of my favourite characters. I really loved early Paimon's EN voice during the prologue, it wasn't as high pitched as it is now.
We've also been through plenty of events that could definitely be considered traumatic. Hence, Paimon being scared without us. Also, she doesn't get anxiety attacks. She just gets plain anxious. There's a difference.

@@amandaslough125 I mean, the traveller doesn't seem scared about seperating from Paimon time to time, that doesn't mean traveller doesn't like her, but maybe something more important might make the traveller choose that instead of paimon

She's demonstrating how she feels for every player who has quit genshin.
Before we met paimon she spent most of her time in fear trying to survive in the wild. These words made my heart sad 😔

@@ej4346 "Did you catch another Paimon? Paimon's stomach is rumbling already!" Proof thet even Paimon thinks Paimon would be tasty
She’s STILL THE BEST EMERGENCY FOOD
I still find her to be extremely annoying. I wish she would leave
Something I noticed is that the traveler often finds excuses to send Paimon away for a few minutes when they have to hear or do something they think would be too much for her to handle emotionally.
That really shows just how deeply the Traveler cares for Paimon. Those are the best moments showing their personality.
@@rhonynn3555 it also makes it feel like the traveler treats her like their little sibling
@@burnoutcat2387 They're always trying to protect her from the things that could destroy her innocence and happiness.
Like the whole Rhukadevata thing, the traveller hid it from Paimon so she wouldn't have to process it.
@@ThreeGoddesses Or it could be she knows about the tragic future of the traveler?
@@ThreeGoddesses I'd say there is a bit more to it than that. She's been seeing the traveler in those dire situations. I would say that this attachment and anxiety began more in Inazuma. As we are almost killed by the Raiden, and she has a breakdown over thinking we died, and again, with Scaramouche.
She's probably now more scared than ever that we can actually die. Having seen us come close to it thrice now.
@@thexp905 I'm worried that she's so afraid of being alone she might eventually forget her own fear of danger out of love for the traveler and end up sacrificing herself to save them.

Hold up when is this in the quest?
@@Limestone707 During the time loop where we were tryna save Dunyarzad
True. I feel like they would be forcefully separated for a longer time in the future.
fontaine..?
for watching anime Im prepared about anything but doesnt mean I wont be affected by it LOL **preparing my manly tears**
Well, never really left her alone before that
If I get separated from paimon or if anyone even hurts her everyone is going to die teyvat will feel my wrath
Paimon is a sass gremlin but she's *my* sass gremlin. The moment Paimon was frantically trying to awake the Traveler after the Raiden Shogun knocked her out, that's when I realized _exactly_ how loyal a friend Paimon was.
The sumeru archon quest made me really see Paimon as my own child
Just seeing her there, waiting for hours for Traveler to come back broke my heart
And Paimon actually crying because she thought she'd never see us again is just...
I love paimon a lot. She brings out my protective instincts she’s like our little innocent baby girl.
My best friend left to go to another country
Sht hits hard
My best friend suddenly grew cold and is fading away from my life. Yeah nah that anxiety is just heart wrenching

@@shrimpman. Well there are yearly events that happen in the game like Lantern Rite and we've seen three of those so far so I think somewhere between 2-3 "years" have passed in the game. But Tevat time is probably faster than Earth time, right? Considering the in-game days are just a few minutes long.
The fact that she’s so wholesome, silly, and is always there for us ALONGSIDE wishing for our wish to come true back in that Inazuma fishing event makes it hard for me to believe that she’ll betray us
…I also felt horrible leaving her behind I wish we have more choices to say nice things to her and accompany her I don’t ever want her to feel sad again
So many questions few of them answered_
At the end of the day really, Paimon will and shall be *OUR* little sister to accompany in this journey. Whether we love her or hate her, she's here for the long run
Maybe the real sibling is the friend we fished along the way
i like to think that traveler sees paimon as their own siblings, hence why in their voice lines they joke and argue like one
Me ( an 18 year old boy) : cries
Paimon is the most precious sweet child
I wanna hug her
"She's like a little sister". Yes!
I dont
Ever gotten in a game is exaggeration
That’s so sad, i guess im starting to feel a bit appreciative towards paimon
ughhh i love paimon so much and this only amplified my love for her 😭😭
There is also the part around the 1st time the Traveller was in Sumeru and they fell unconscious for a few hours because of getting -high- in touch with the Divine Conscience or something along those lines.
At first i didnt understand why paimon was hated by the community, but then i realized that this community has raiden as one of the favorite characters even after all she did (including trying to kill the traveler DIRECTLY) lmao
Poor paimon, a great character in the wrong community..
Don't worry she's gonna get her arc, probably a biggest arc in the story. The voice actors probably signed NDAs though, so they can't reveal anything.
Yet, for me she more than just a character in game

Got that feeling too. Since I've played Honkai Impact before this Game, I get the feeling that Hoyo just want us to get attached to Paimon little by little for us to go down the Tragic Route for that "Big Impact" they usually aim.
I really hope I don't have to look back at this comment years later if your prediction is right.
in the archon quest "caribert" she also asked us if we will ever get tired of her, which is another reason that she is actually worrying of us leaving her.

Paimon's the most memorable character ♡
I love her, she is our little buddy.. This just makes it that much more clear.. ⭐
After the bite the dust part of the Archon Quest, I'm honestly convinced that Paimon won't betray us but play a key role for a plot 4 years later, more likely be an emotional goodbye or could be a happy one
She’s always asking if we’ll leave her and saying she’ll never desapear. That's why I'm so scared she would die
Paimon is the absolute best and most wholesome.
i dont really understand the certain hatred this community has towards particular characters. in many cases i just find it plain irrational. paimon was trying to take childe’s hit when traveller was immobile, almost got sliced in half while trying to desperately wake us up when raiden was approaching us and on top of that she has followed us into places that she either feared (wuwang hill) or places which were highly dangerous because she is the one who channels our elemental energy and is nevertheless aware that manipulation of elements is something that we crucially need. she taught us the teyvat language and provided us basic information about teyvat in which we would be lost otherwise. and yet people want to kill a child character that has helped us and cared for us the most just because they are “annoying”, while fawning over hot adult characters which have never given two shits about the traveler despite having their lives improved by him significantly… in a lot of cases. im not saying all real life elements should apply to fiction but i just can’t stand the fact that all of the tremendous hate towards paimon isnt even constructive. in most cases its just blatant statements like her en va being annoying- just tell me how the hell is that supposed to be enough of an excuse to villify her character writing? dont like her voice in this dub? fine, switch it to something else, its not that hard. and paimon isnt the only case. reckless pallad pushed sucrose because he was literally freezing to death and somehow the whole fandom pinpointed him to be the worst npc for it when you have npcs in the game that are so much worse. im sorry but they have chosen to place him into a cold corner and keep him in dragonspine while he was literally losing consciousness and well, him pushing sucrose when he was barely sentient was not anything malicious yet people make it sound that way. its just a reckless character getting into a reckless situation, how’s that so hard to understand. maybe i am playing a different game or something, seriously.
edit: yes i have prolonged this comment and fixed some of the awful grammar. dont mind my rambling, this is just a bad rant and its not meant to attack anyone.
edit 2: i got a bit sour in the reply section so i just wanna leave a note: to anybody who dislikes paimon or pallad, you are allowed to do so, i am criticising the approach and the lack of constructivity a lot of people have about it, not the taste itself, thanks.
edit 3: i know this is kinda akward, i promise this is the last one but i just wanted to say that i have not aknowledged all the positive replies enough. thank you for taking the time to hear me out on such a lengthy and heavy take, it makes me relieved knowing that i am not the only one who’s considered this issue and has such opinion. kudos!
💯 💯 Facts.
Absolutely agree
People these days... only looking for a reason to hate
Out of all languages you speak pure wisdom dude

I really dont understand why people hate paimon, i love her(as a traveling companion) since we met her.
Because of her behaviour..
Maybe 🤔 I could imagine that happening in a super dramatic tragic flashback
It's almost like.. a PTSD.
Paimon is so sweet. She so clearly cares about the traveler a lot. I really hope that at the end of the story she doesn't just get left behind

Actually the first time i saw paimon i loved her and i think she’s cute and silly at the same time tinder. I don’t know why people hate her i try to find something let them to hate her but I couldn’t

That scene during the archon quest at 0:26 where they were separated and she told the traveler about it literally made me tear up. It completely changed how I viewed paimon and she went from annoying to a character I would protect at all costs.
No one ever hates her... she has best expressions in game!💛🧡
In every patch & events i always look for cutscenes that shows the closeness of paimon and traveler
Yeah, Paimon may talk too much at times but she's very considerate and cares about our well being.
She's very sweet.
I've always treasured Paimon from the beginning. How can you not love this bubbly floating baby??
Nobody can realise how happy I am to have found this video.. Like it's the first time I find something that totally agrees with my appreciation and my analysis of Paimon!! I love her so much so thank you A LOT for this video
that also explains why she loves food and mora so much, they’re the two things that she needed to survive in the wild and struggled to get without the traveller
that's just how life must go on. we met people, made memories, made our time shines like a gold, then there will be a time that we must leave them
Genshin is all about farewell
one day when your journey finally comes to an end, we must bid our farewell. Paimon will be one of the golden memories for us, as for her, she will lost her whole world, except if Traveler choose Teyvat as their final destination
Now it's 5.1, Paimon doesn't want to get separate from traveler because he has to work on something with Mavuika
She is always on our side, so I will also bite anyone who hurts my Paimon QvQ
when we went missing from the sumeru story and paimon cried, I felt it as well. made me want to cherish Paimon more
I don't care if the people hate her English voice, her voice in her moments of pure despair evokes my protective instincts, (to make a long story short I find her voice very genuine)
Paimon is too cute. She deserves lots of love❤
Awww, the card description 😭
Paimon is companion, a friend, daughter, soulmate, lover or pretty much anything one thinks. Many will hate her, but she will always be my favorite char from Genshin impact.
I feel like whenever the journey ends we leave with paimon too, she’s gonna get it scared and remember all the memories 😭 is to sad to think about
I think that Paimon won't betray us in the future, but maybe she will help us with that lady we fought at the beginning of the game (maybe she is the key to defeat her?)
Y'know, when I first started the game I really thought she was just something I could make fun of, but up until the quest with meeting our sibling I really came to appreciate her company. Also, something I'd like to point out
The traveler was probably Paimon's first friend ever.
Or maybe I'm analyzing things weirdly idk I still love her
I accept it...
I cried when Paimon was crying and hugging Traveler in Sumeru
Paimon is truly the best traveling companion ever! 😭
Sumeru really went there.
We leave ni the Archon quest and she panics. Get seperated in the Nahida wuest and Paimon has a breakdown
When the game first started I literally was so scared that paimon left my side that I kept clicking the settings thing just to see her again.
Now, I don't really mind it too much, but I still like to check up on her from time to time, I just like her company and it makes me feel like I'm not so alone, even at times where there aren't alot of npc around me.
im embarrassed to admit that i cried when paimon cried on traveler about them leaving her.. :( (samsara festival)
at first i saw her as annoying, but seeing this, shes my favorite traveling buddy
holy shit this made me cry for her i love paimon as if she were my child fr
Paimon is Paimon, the traveler’s best companion.
im gonna be so sad if in the end paimon will die just to help the traveller
She is so much more bearable when you have voices turned off. She is one of my favourite characters.
I really loved early Paimon's EN voice during the prologue, it wasn't as high pitched as it is now.
And when she asked if we get tired of being with Paimon in the Caribert quest 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Oh my god 😭😭
We've also been through plenty of events that could definitely be considered traumatic. Hence, Paimon being scared without us.
Also, she doesn't get anxiety attacks. She just gets plain anxious. There's a difference.
Let’s not forget when Paimon says she’s afraid to die because that would mean she won’t be besides the Traveler anymore.
