I am 75 and not the best of health . Love the out doors but can not get out to enjoy it like I use to. I hope you do not mind but you are my fishing buddy. I try to find all your videos . THANK YOU !
Hey old-timer subscribe to his channel and you can have all his videos 😄👍
I’m ten years behind you, but also experiencing health challenges. John’s videos are the next best thing to being on the water👍
This is exactly what I subscribed to this channel for! Highly entertaining!
This video brings back memories of the OG creek fishing adventures videos 💯👌🏼
John, that lure is known as the “CAT’R CRAWLER” by Rebel. It is designed to simulate a night crawler which has fallen into the water. It sinks slowly with a slight wobble side-to-side. It was in the creatures series of smaller crank baits resembling bait such as crickets, crawdads, bees. Sold for about $6.99 retail. The “CAT’R CRAWLER” was actually discontinued a few years ago, but you can still locate them at some tackle shops and some online auctions. I really appreciate your content and the effort that you put into taking us along fishing with you on a Creek Fishing Adventure. - Tennessee Smoky
The old catalpa worm! Caught some massive bream on these back in the day
That brown was my favorite for big gills
This brings me back to my childhood years running around the town and fishing this little bridge by a farmers house who used to yell at us lol everyone would run through his fields to get to the High school
Been fishing for 50 years now, but never had a double. Weird! Thx for sharing.
The ol faithful rebal crawfish is always my creek go to for everything even the big small mouth
That double fish catch was incredible 🙌 👏 I've never seen that happen before which was super cool!!!
That is awesome! Another Amazing Creek Fishing Adventure video! It's so cool how you use your awareness of everything around you to choose how you fish! That creek double was crazy! That was an extremely effective lure! Great use of a variety of baits John! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion for fishing!
Those sunfish are so beautiful, nice catches, especially the double!👍🎣
I love fishing with those late 70s early 80s Rebel crankbaits. My favorite is the Humpback with a baby bass pattern on it. I got so I'm afraid to throw it because I don't want to lose it. They started making it again a couple of year ago, but it doesn't dive a deep and it isn't the same color so it doesn't catch as many fish.
Great video and great fishing John!! Have a good day and week and weekend. God bless. Thank you for sharing!! Enjoy the outdoors when the weather nice!!
Just curious… How many ticks do you pull off yourself each year? You go into the craziest places!
surprising less than i think i would get
I was catching small stumpknockers and blue gill in the creek behind walmart on the full moon and noticed the lawn guys left the gate to the parking lot drainage pond open. Caught three big three to four pound largies. Caught my first one out of a drain pipe too. Walmart employees and shoppers were taking pictures with the fish. 😂 Awesome april full moon trip.
3-4 lb bass caught in a detention pond at Walmart? I call bs. It's a drainage pond there's not enough fish/bait in those for bass to get that big
thats awesome, i caught my previous Pb, 6lb largemouth out of a shallow retention pond
@@BamaRockstar85 there is a creek right next to the pond. When it rains heavy it pushes water and fish into the pond. There are a bunch of big private lakes upstream and fish get washed out.
@@BamaRockstar85 Those fish weren't there last year because I fished that pond for bluegill a couple of times. There are a ton of bluegill and stumpknockers in the pond too.
Good trip John,....like you said that lure isn't made any longer. You might want to take care with it,....they're worth $35-40 now! Enjoyed this one.
Great video like always 😊 I'm going to be doing a minnow trapping vid tomorrow
those are cool
The cicadas are coming soon to Tennessee and I plan on fishing some fat white plastic grubs in the next few weeks. Then I’m gonna try to catch the adult bugs and use them.
These are the videos I like the best. Just beside the road creek.
That’s hilarious. I looked those things up on eBay lastnight and here today ya pop up with this. Great minds think alike
thats crazy
I have had so much Luck over the Decades with the little CrickHopper and one of my favorite Lures by far.
2:25 going on the line to see where they sell those 2atatime lures. 😂😂😂
Time code 2:32. Just when you think you've seen everything fishing lol. I had an owl in the swamps in S LA grab a plastic frog and fly off. Set the hook in the air and got the critter unhooked. You just never know. Enjoy ur blessings brother! Ur on a great path!
When I was a kid learning how to work a bait caster ( many many birds nest lol). I was practicing in the yard ( no pond) and had a hawk fly down and take my beat up plastic worm. I didn't hook her though.
John, you're super cool and the geese know that.
That Cobra Chicken was waiting to give you a beat down now you need to get a video of trying to pet it lol....
Love the crick hopper! Doesn’t always get a bite but a ton of fun to fish while you’re eyeing a new spot!
"So, did you catch a bluegill or a largemouth?" "Yes."
Hellooo from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park...I need to add fishing to my videos about Gatlinburg and the Smokies ..Great job 🏞️🌄🐻
oh yeah thats a great fishing area
@@CreekFishingAdventures Next time you're in Gatlinburg, say hi 😉🐻🌄
Yes sir ultralight fishing is a blast. I picked up a handful of the Rebel critters and had to pay up since 3 are discontinued. 2 Catalpa worms in the lot of 6. Great video brother and the double up was wild 😜. Blessings
dwie ryby na jednocześnie -czegoś takiego to jeszcze nie widziałem :) , super filmik
Always a fun adventure watching you catch fish. You’re the reason I picked up a fishing rod last year and still haven’t put in down. Even through the winter months
Love your videos! Keep up the good work and God Bless!
My favorite videos of yours because its the type of creek fishing I do in southern CA Im going to start trying some 32 oz feather jigs I ordered keep scouting out my nearby creeks.
Good video ! Good advice ! Glad to see you back in the creek. Always be careful. Pap Blevins
That one was a hybrid long ear / green sunfish.
Looks like everything is coming alive good video
Nice content as usual Preacher John! Regarding those geese, I suspect they feel safe in these grasses near the road / truck facility because it's loud and coyotes and foxes (dogs? other predators?) avoid the area. Just my guess. Thanks and good luck out there!
i never thought of it like that
The one you caught at 7:50 I'm pretty sure it was a Long-eared Sunfish.
Love them little streams and ultralight tackle!
@@nobeody111 yeah forgot about the line.
Cool video. Been a while since you've fished there, huh. Nice double up on the same lure.. good deal. Fish on and Go Braves.
i fish it once or twice a year, i try not to go thee too much so i make myself go to other places
Great little video man you need to tell your secret to finding all of the fish lol enjoyed it thank you
Your advice about ultra-lite fishing is spot on.
A double! That was cool!
You fish these holes like I do, sometimes ya literally need to be on your knees to catch them.
I do alot of trout fishing like this, but the technique can be used on must anything
Thanks for a great video
God bless
Very true
i haven't seen one of those lures in forever!
I remember those lures. Cool double!
I have a Lews Lite Speed Ultra Lite reel and an Ozark 5’6” light rod. The line that can on the reel was poor so I put 4 lb Trilene XL on it and it works great. I have about $60 in it from Walmart. I also love the Crickhopper. It and a rooster tail are my go too.
great setup
I Used to have the caterpillar when I was a kid. Mine was chocolate brown in color. Loved that lure. Everything hit it. I wish I could find one again. The other thing I used to love that caught tons of bass was jelly worms. They smelled like grape jelly. They don't make those anymore either.
I still have a pack of the grape and blackberry 6inch worms and 2 of the 4inch blackberry. It's a shame they are discontinued
Ha! Cool! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Just started watching but looks like a "classic Creek Fishing Adventures" video - "Vintage!"
Where I live in Canada, it is against the law to throw a bleeder back in.
interesting, the laws between each state here can change a lot
Beautiful Green Sunfish!
They are called a lazy ike. I still have sect in my panfish box.👍👍👍😄😄😄
similar but different
@@CreekFishingAdventures 👍
If Rebel doesn't make that one any more, I bet they will if you ask them to off the back of your videos.
Those shiners are great catfishing bait!
hahaha the double
Wow that is an old lure cuz I used to fish those when I was a kid... Back in 1977 I think they were like 89 cents. I used to kill the bluegills and small Bass on them slow rolling them or just plain letting them sink. Love the creek videos bro😊!!!
I saw you fishing there the other day. I was driving into town and I thought it must be you. Really enjoy your channel.
oh cool
That double would be more impressive if it was on a single hook, which I did once as a kid with a bluegill and crappie.
Another awesome video John!
A GRASS HOPER LURE WOKS REALLY WELL TOO
Creek fishing is the best fishing.
I think I started with a 33 underspin micro and a rebel panfish kit
Went to Appalachia dam to fish the tail race two days ago. I had some old Rebel lures in my tackle. I had rebel crawdads crank baits. Floating Rapela won the day.
Great tips thanks!
Man I love 6 lb test light action rod for bass just for fun with 4 inch worms and small spinners and rapalas oh man what a hoot
That funky looking redbreast almost looked like a pumpkin seed
Thanks JOHN, keep up the good work be careful out there.
Whoa double species hit!'
Man I got a strike king mini tied on that slayed some bluegill this afternoon. You got me thinking I'll get up early and get some steps in on reedy creek till I lose it.
As big as those shiners are that you catch, I am thinking you need to do a video on shiner catch, clean and cook......😁
John, great video. Can you be a little more gentle on the toss back to the creek. Bend down and place em. 👍🏻
Do you catch something on every first cast damn lol
Creek double! ✌️
Great video! I really enjoy creek fishing videos like this
There used to be a lure like that called a Lazy Ike that looked a lot like that. I caught a lot of fish on it on a river in SE Oklahoma
dang man you catching 'em 2 at a time. thanks for the video 👍
I’ve had one of those worms for years and never caught a fish on it but most of the other rebel plugs I have worked great
The crickethopper is the go too
ive got a few that were my grandfathers, never used it. Will now
“Bass and Bluegill living together”……………
Super cool colors on those little fish thanks for the closeups they are very helpful 👍
Loved watching, great tips.
That was so cool 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😊
Back to the basics love it… so on a different note what about Mark Pope are you hyped? I was at Rupp when he was introduced! So much love and hope. Lovely trip keep em coming I live vicariously through you lol
he is an exciting guy, but he just has to win, i do like him though
The double was wild dude!
just grab those catterpillers ! : )
I have one those in my tackle I’ve retired to keep
Is that a KastKing's Kestrel ? How do you feel about it ?
Love the video by the way . Fishing doesn't have to be big to be exciting !
yes it is and it feels really good
Well that a first for me. I never seen two fish on one Lure
bro i heard the discord message 4:05
Strange, you should mention the trout magnet. That's what I got a 13 inch.Smallie on the other day surprise. Pink color. Bought the same size creek.
I use a syringe to inject air into the lure (or even a worm) to get it too float. You ever tried? You can even dial in amount of air in the lure to set depth....
never tried it but seen it done with worms
May I ask a personal question? How do you fishing guys afford to fish in all those wonderful places? I can barely afford my Alabama fishing license. Do you have to buy fishing licenses in every state you travel to? Would really like to understand how you do that. Thanks
i make a living from making youtube videos, so fishing is my job
Freshwater fishing license in Alabama is $16.15. I mean, that seems pretty affordable.
Good chit mang.
Amazing sunfish! Dang!
you fly fish at all? bet you can find flies that mimic that caterpillar pattern
i do some
What do you do to keep from getting are up by chiggers?
i hate those things, i dont get them but maybe once or twice a year
Love the videos my guy 🫡
Nice double up catch
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯☕️☕️
That fish definitely didn't fall back into the water lmao poor guy had to think about his life decisions while he slowly suffocated.
well a snake got a meal then
@@CreekFishingAdventures or that goose... Can't beat a free snack though.
lol, creek double
Aren’t you afraid of stepping on snakes
i have done it before, its startling but they usually slide away before you get to close
