Hi! No the big loop is only made in the end that goes to the shooting head. The idea with the big loop is that it should be big enough to let a the spools were you keep your other lines, pass through. That means you do not have to feed the whole shooting head through a small loop. //Henrik GL
Also here loop-to-loop is a great way, and often you make a small Perfection Loop in the shooting line, and a big loop in the backing, large enough to so you can run the fly reel throuogh.

I am also aware that mr frodin is a legend in salmon fishing and spent over 30 years living off salmon fishing. this is the equivalent of a premier footballer showing you how he ties his laces at very least it works for him
