The police aren't getting the call and waiting an hour before they respond, they respond as the officers become available. The reason is the police in Chicago are spread thin. The city treated their cops like dirt for years and now they can't get enough qualified applicants to hire as police, meanwhile police officers continue to retire and leave for greener pastures.
I don't know if you noticed but crime in Chicago is getting worse, DA's, prosecutors, and judges are not putting the criminals in prison but they are dumping these violent criminals right back on the streets with the innocent residents. Not enough law enforcement and the judicial system is refusing to do their jobs so the police chase criminals all day and night. But, they take a while to respond to non-violent calls if they are after murderers, and felons. Chicago has many problems but they created their own problems by their voting habits.
If weed is illegal then they are doing their job. I personally have seen them do a lot more than just bust people for weed. CA has a crime problem and a judicial system that put criminals right back onto the streets. While you think they are only busting people with weed, the truth is they do much more. @@Joe-no7gs

That's why you see so many abandoned neighborhoods. Same thing, Crime. I blame the parents bc they didn't teach them how to act right. It's easy to teach a young kid. They know the difference from right and wrong. Being able to do that means that you, as a parent, let that behavior go uncheck, sometime even encouraged, so they think they can do that.
