Really nice work and video. Thank you for sharing your process. I once pulled glue into a desktop crack using a shop vac from underneath and that is a method I would probably use again, too. You really worked some magic to bring that tired old surface back to life. The top and skirts seem to glow, luminously.
Thank you Scott, not a problem at all. Wow that’s really thinking outside of the box. I love that idea, definitely going to try it. Lots of thin coats eventually you end up with a very nice surface. Thank you for the tip! 👍🙂
Thanks Don buddy. I’m sure it’s going to turn out fantastic. I actually used some wipe on poly for the final coats which really made it nice and shiny, I’d recommend it.
Haha can’t let Han’s get too close to this one even though he is the inspector. It’s good to see you again buddy. Happy Sunday and Monday to you and the very talkative Stella 👍👍🙂😺
Did you take some measure to clean the surfaces inside the crack? I was curious as oil, wax, or dirt may have accumulated in there. Thank you for sharing. - Phil
I gave it a blasting with my air compressor and then a good visual inspection-but it looked clean enough so I went hog wild with the glue. I’d be more weary if it was a wax or oil finish. Thank you for watching I appreciate the question 👍🙂
I absolutely love the natural color finish on this! The wood on top is so beautiful now. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
I agree, whoever made this table did a wonderful job of choosing grain patterns. Thank you 🙂👍

It was a challenge for sure but you restored its beauty :) Love your kitty supervisor :)
Thank you Sarann, it’s amazing how much the finish was obscuring the wood. Han’s is a tough but fair boss, I will let him know 👍🙂😉
Super helpful, I'm figuring out how to fix a crack in the kick plate/foot rest on a solid tiger oak secretary desk...thank you!
Not a problem at all Colleen, just be sure to work the glue deep into the crack. It should glue up nicely 👍
@@ejwoodhouserestorations2796 Thank you so much for the encouragement, I really appreciate that!
Great video and amazing work!
Thank you Anderson, much appreciated 👍🤓
Really nice job. My son's got an old table I'd like to get my hands on.
