can't wait for 'The Lemon Song' the bass playing in particular stands out, even though they all shine. i think it's one of their best, but i'm probably in a minority. peace (from the UK)
Good to see ya again! Looking forward to your reaction to "Thank You", "Ramble On" and "What Is and What Should Never Be" and then of course there is "Moby Dick"
Glad to see you back! I enjoy your reactions because you put thought into them when so many don't. Please do explore other platforms to get blocked content up, Zep fans will follow. As someone mentioned, the second album was recorded while on tour; in fact, some of the improv, etc. from different concerts would get honed and find it's way onto the album. Glad you've decided to take the full, chronological journey. Welcome to the Zeppelin family!
By the way - in the vocal breakdown which comes after the guitar solo and after the next verse, where he sings acapella "Way down inside, woman, you need..." you hear him singing the same thing faintly before he actually sings it... that's not an intentional pre-delay. Of course back then they recorded on reel to reel tape, and the when the engineer stored the reel for a few days, there was bleed from one wind of the tape to the next wind, and so accidentally it sounds like intentional pre-delay.
Its amazing how Jimmy was so ahead of his time especially when it came to the producing of Zeps albums... to be that young and to know exactly how you wanted it to sound the creativity is mind blowing!!!
Emmanuel Flores I think around 1970 Jimmy was in his mid 20 s . They all were so young to have 3 albums charted and working on number 4 , which is their biggest ! Also much of the second album was done while they were touring America.
I'm commenting before I listen cause I'm SO HAPPY YOU ARE BACK!!😻 I've been worried you got the corona or worse. Glad things led (no pun) you bk to us. Now I'll sit bk n enjoy✌️

Good times bad times, Whole Lotta love, Immigrant song, Black Dog, The song remains the same, Custard Pie, Achilles Last Stand, In the Evening. All are bangers💥💥
I was blessed to grow up in a house with a large very powerful Stereo System. 250 Watts per Channel the neighbors all heard us, Zeppelin, Stones we had fun.
So great your back! If you get copyrighted set up a Vimeo account or something. What I would recommend is listening to the studio first then do a live version afterwards or something 🤘🏻
It's hard to say which is Zeppelin's best album. As with their songs, it's often the one you've just listened to. Their first album went top 10 in the UK and the US and around the World. Their remaining 7 studio albums ALL went to number 1, in both the UK and the US, as well as in numerous other countries. The notable and surprising exception being, Led Zeppelin 4. This despite it being their biggest selling album in the US, and worldwide too. Their most popular and acclaimed albums are 'II', 'IV' and 'Physical Graffiti'. Though all their albums are masterpieces and they include several serious contenders in the, 'greatest album of all-time' debate. 'Presence' is usually considered their 'weakest' album but this is relative. For most bands that have ever existed, it would be the greatest thing they'd ever done. My personal favourite is 'Physical Graffiti'. A double album of breathtaking brilliance, showcasing all their songwriting breadth, an incredible range of genres and their unsurpassed musicianship. :)
Great reaction. When you get to side 2, a heads up, you MUST react to "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid / She's Just a Woman" together. Or else zep fans will light up the comments section, lol. It's kinda a part I part II kinda thing.
Just to let you know when you get to heartbreaker make sure you follow it up with the next song living loving maid . the two songs run into each other like bookends . I remember in the old days most radio stations always played them back to back. seeing your reactions brings back my love for good old Led Zep. thank you.
What's interesting though is that Jimmy hated that radio would play these two back to back; he thought they had nothing in common. He didn't like Living Loving Maid, calling it "too sarcastic" and Zep never performed it live but they would perform Heartbreaker. If you do a live performance of Heartbreaker, choose the video from Earls Court.
@@henriettaskolnick2903 it is really odd being that Led heads will kill if anyone who dares not play the two songs together [ not really kill but you know what I mean] . I guess just a happy accident that they are back to back on Zep 2 . I think it maybe because of Heartbreakers abrupt end and Living Loving Maids quick start . you do have to admit tho Henrietta , it sounds as if Robert is singing about the same woman .
The band Train did a cover of this album a few years ago. Not as good as the original of course, but a pretty solid representation. Once you've gone through this album, you might want to give that one a listen. Not necessarily for reaction videos, but just as a comparison.
Hey Emmanuel welcome back, I was wondering where you went off to. There is so many great songs on this album, I do not get tired of listening to it. There is a link of a isolated drums of this song you might be interested in. You can really hear Bonzo dynamic drumming and also powerful. ruclips.net/video/4dT2YWMqw5A/видео.html
One of the coolest riffs in rock n roll
So glad you are doing more Zeppelin!! On the studio version you can hear Jimmy singing Whole Lotta Love!
Julie Manarin happy to be back!! 🙏

The second album was recorded at various studios between live performances while on tour. So, it has much of the power of their live performances.
Appreciate the insight, I can feel that energy throughout the recording of this song.
That car revving sound is an instrument called The Theremin. Jimmy is playing it. Zeppelin rules.
Rock on!🤘😁❤
Welcome back and great reaction! That’s Jimmy using his Theramin.
Heartbreaker and Living Loving Maid need to be played back to back. It's always played that way on the radio for 45+ years.👍
Oh perfect, thanks for letting me know!
Good to see ya again! Looking forward to your reaction to "Thank You", "Ramble On" and "What Is and What Should Never Be" and then of course there is "Moby Dick"
Good to have you back
If you listen closely, you can hear Bonham yelling while he’s beating the drums.
No way??? I'll look for that upon my next listen!
Emmanuel Flores listen to the isolated drum track and you can hear it a lot better.

The mix on the studio is masterful.

One word, Goat!
Missed ya man...look forward to your Zep reactions! I love their live better, the studio is great also! 😎✌️👍 they are all bangers! 😊🥴
so glad youre back and doing them in order! ps surprised this stayed up lol
So many normally point to VI as Led Zeppelin’s best album, but for me II is my favorite.
Its amazing how Jimmy was so ahead of his time especially when it came to the producing of Zeps albums... to be that young and to know exactly how you wanted it to sound the creativity is mind blowing!!!
No idea how he managed to pull this off, do you know how old he was around this time?

Appreciate the advice, I'll definitely look into that.
Every Zep album opener is a banger! (My fav is a toss between Houses Of The Holy's first track and Presence's.)
Good times bad times, Whole Lotta love, Immigrant song, Black Dog, The song remains the same, Custard Pie, Achilles Last Stand, In the Evening. All are bangers💥💥

I've noticed a few lyric videos add 'it' to the lyrics but it's not 'you need it'. It's 'you need (ah...) whole lotta love' :)
I felt sorry for John Bonhams drum kit. He smashes it

Did you react to "I Can't Quit You Baby" from their first album? The one with that title was "You Shook Me"
Good one

Page said the middle part of this song was his attempt to do something Avant Garde.
