Brought back memories. We had a cupola and I would mull all the floor and machine sand and facings myself for the next day. Next day I would gathervsand samples and do moisture and compression strength testing. By then the cupola was going and we would tap out at 11:00 am. I ran the heat and controlled oxygen injection, carbon testing and samples for the lab and with others distributed the iron to all the pouring floors on a monorail system. About 4:30 pm the heat was over and we would drop the bottom ou5 of the furnace. Then back to the muller and repeat. Imloved the work and responsibility.

KITZ valve brand I'm familiar with since 1985 when working in a gas processing plant. Very reliable working at 50 bar pressure with out passing. Either gas or liquid linework, a sacrifice valve is require for easy maintenance with out depressurising or draining the whole line work. Once your gas or oil plant use made in India , Korea other then Japan due to cost cutting be prepare for miserable life you will encounter during operation
at 6:48 when the worker (in white/grey clothing) places the crucible on the pouring station - there is a GREEN 'cabin' looking thing on the left overlooking the pouring station. *Is there somebody in the 'cabin' controlling the pouring or is that fully automated there?* It looks like a cabin for a human with all the windows and stuff, but as it's not visible at any point I was wondering..

KITZのバルブ、あんなに大型の製品でも流れ作業で作るほど各地から需要があるのだなぁと驚いて見ていました。
工場のある長野の伊那と言えばPISCOやハーモも生産拠点を置いているし、このチャンネルに出てくる数々の工場を支えるメーカーが集積しているんだと学びになりました。
KITZやハーモの取り引き会社で働いていたが、結構。厳しいから二度としたくないな

厳密に言えば、ピスコ＆ハーモは伊那じゃない。仰る通り、中堅大手メーカーを下支えしてる中小零細企業が多々あるのは事実
仕事で使っているけど、暑い中丁寧に作ってくれていると理解できました。日本の工業基盤を支える業種。感謝しかない。

鋳造工場と思えんくらい綺麗
日本の加工技術の高さを見ることができました。この能力はバルブのみならず各種の金属製品に生かされていますね。何よりも高い精度と品質。携わる方々の日々の勤務がレベルの維持、向上につながっているのでしょう。
キッツはやはり物がいいです。
あと一部toyoの刻印が入ったものを見て東洋バルブがキッツの子会社なのを初めて知りました。勉強になります。
外注せず自社内で銑鉄から鋳物にしてるんだ。すごい

キッツは3/4から4inchまでのフルボアのボールバルブ使ってるけど、年数経っても開閉の重さが変わらないのがいい
ボイラー室で勤務したことありますよ‼️ 蒸気ヘッダーから8個 ここの製品のバルブ生えてました🙌💕🙌
Very interesting. I'm surprised they are still using hot box cores. The inline machining was not expected either.
I particularly enjoyed the flange bolt drilling machines that cut all the holes at once.

一言で鉄スクラップと言うが、自動車などのプラスチックや塗装メッキまで混じったものもあれば、ここで使っているだろう打ち抜きの端材のような高品質スクラップもある。 混ぜるとどれも低品質になるだろうけど、こういう高質な鋳物には混じり物が多いスクラップは使えないよなと納得した。
質が悪いと困る建材の異形棒鋼でも低品質スクラップを使う努力していて精錬が頑張ってるなとも思った（別動画ではあるが）
