Honestly I thought they kinda butchered Flower. She has been changed so much to the point where she has become the antithesis of herself in the first season. She went from total asshole to wacky golfball who wants to be everyone's friend. I think BFB hit the perfect middle ground where she wants to make friends and put her past behind her but still shows elements of ego and selfishness that hold her back. I think a lot of post split characters were changed too much but I feel it with Flower especially and honestly the emotion they were going for in finale didn't hit for me because her development didn't feel earned.
It was definitely a big shift in characterization, but I think I enjoyed it more than some others due to her likability. I can see why a lot of people took issue with this shift, however
I completely agree. Honestly I think most of the characters best version of themselves were pre split BFB. Post split BFB felt over the top, boring, and it really forced development and change in personality on characters like Flower.
agreed, pre split flower was the best flower we had, but it felt like post split made her this overly optimistic and friendly person out of nowhere, just to say: "she was the most hated character but now she won the season, such amazing character development!!1!" they obviously wanted her to win, here is a list showing how: - Making it vote to save to give her more sympathy votes - That one scene with purple face at the end of bfb 23 (i enjoyed it but it still felt forced) - Flower talking about how she wanted to redeem herself in episode 24 - Flower being betrayed by teardrop after befriending her in episode 27 - Flower being ganged up on by gelatin and TD in episode 28 and of course - Despite everything, Flower chooses to spend her personal money on saving bfb Not all of these reasons may be true, but i feel nothing when hearing the fact that she won, because of how forced it feels. Nothing against jacknjellify, they still know how to write good episodes (showing by tpot), and they really wanted to have a heartfelt finale, but to me, it just felt forced :P

Adding to my first comment, you’re dead on about Spongy. I use to love him so much for the reasons you stated. Then he became surprisingly vengeful towards everyone in BFB 14 and 15. Which I could’ve gotten over since one can only take being mistreated for so long, but then the split made him a smug prick, and that just sucks.
oh for me its the opposite. I had a bad opinion of Spongy in BFDI, mostly because his challenge rejoin could have been utilized by another character (ie. Pin, Snowball, Teardrop, etc.) and due to his general flanderised personality of "fat". In BFDIA its up to neutral, only difference was his sacrificing in BFDIA. In BFB he started to grow on me due to his relation with Barf Bag (and in post-split, Loser), despite the unfair rejoin. In late BFB though, I liked his "contrarian" personality a lot
How I would fix him: He would save his teammates in his rocket ship (It doesnt make sense for him to leave them stranded when Donut sacrificed himself for Spongy) and in episode 15, he would shoot the cannons at Puffball in order to PROVE his worth to his team. This couldve saved his character immensely

I personally don’t like split BFB as a whole. There were some good aspects like a smaller cast, a few good episodes but for every good thing it did, it seems like it does three things worse. I didn’t like shift in tone from pre-split BFB, the writing feels like it isn’t trying sometimes and could be all over the place, the humor is hit or miss, with mostly misses, a lot of the characters I feel changed for the worst. Another thing that isn’t brought up a lot that I don’t like is how BFB continues on as if the final 14 are the only competitors in the whole season, while completely throwing the exitors, like 8-Ball and Roboty, to the side. Just makes it seem like Four never intended on freeing them. Also ngl, as someone who enjoyed Profily in their first appearance, I found your reactions really damn hilarious. But, it is what it is, at least another season of BFDI finished. This video was a blast to watch and I’ll hopefully be on during the livestream.
My biggest problem with the season was the voting. I love the concept of the saving. But it kinda flopped when eliminations came down to botters. Ruby-Gelatin (BFB 20) Blocky-Flower (BFB 24) Flower-Blocky-Firey-Taco (BFB 22) Instead of being popularity based, these eliminations came down to whoever could bot the most would survive. And I understand with 50k voters, it's hard to have everyone vote fairly. People are going to use mulitple accounts. But they made zero effort to do anything about it. Cary even said in one of his reactions, "Botting is ok, as long as everyone is botted" Which was probably the worst thing he could have said. After this, every elimination delt with tons of bot accounts, and even some elims were caused by bots, like Taco, which any votes over time would show she would have likely ended 2nd most voted at the end if it wasn't for Blocky, Flower, and Firey being botted. Causing her to fall to last And just knowing my 1 vote was going to be the same as someone else's 10 alt votes was a turn off from the series for me. Also Flower was a problem, but I don't want to start bring up all my arguements from months ago, but I found her so annoying, boring, unconsistent, and just a pity character.
I agree botting is bad but I'd still much rather take save voting over elimination voting. Elimination voting feels specifically designed to kick out interesting characters and keep in floaters.
They clearly set flower up to win, they gave her way too much plot armor, but hey I'm not complaining, she was the 2nd best out of the post split cast (lollipop was my favourite)

despite flower and gelatin gaining most of their fanbase from the split, they were my two favorite pre split and i honestly felt like they were downgraded, tbh most the characters here did, the only character who shined more is lollipop in my opinion (blocky and woody werent awful tho i just feel they couldve been used better), the rest either felt flanderized or just inconsistent as it went along, honestly im amazed gelatin and flower were final two, while im glad bc i still love those characters, they felt flanderized the most to me and were constantly used for bad jokes. flower is my favorite character but a lot of the time she was just tortured for sympathy or would just be annoying just bc it was funny ig gelatin was only a blueprint of a character rather than one, gelatim cam be clever, a commentator, but a doofus a lot as shown pre split, but it felt as instead of using all these traits they would take one for an episode and run it into the ground, like in episode 27 he would call out leafy and be the straight face that challenge but in the beginning of the finale he was just a complete idiot for some reason?? idk a lot of the cast felt mishandled
12:20 The way you called this cake at stake "trivial" rubbed me the wrong way, crazy how a ceremony that for me put a lot at stake behind the scenes can be considered so unimportant for someone that's just binge watching the show For those that don't know: For those that were active in the community back then, BFB 20's voting period was probably the most controversial vote in bfdi maybe ever, the whole fiasco involved alt accounts and botting and my server was kinda in the center of the whole thing, it was a mess, that voting period alone was the start of the decline of my 1,5k~ member server, my youtube channel and my interest for BFB as a whole, as I'm writing this comment I feel like that might be a main reason as to why i have such a negative opinion on post-split bfb, it drove me away from the community aswell, after all that was a big part of watching BFB for me, it's a community-based show after all It was interesting to see the perspective for someone that's just binge-watching the episodes, nice video man
ANOTHER AUGUST 2013-er??? INSANE! Before I talk about my take on post-split, some backstory: I was literally 9 when I first stumbled upon the series, and almost 9 years after that I couldn’t be more grateful to see the OSC change and grow. My first “new” episode I ever saw was Inanimate Insanity II Episode 5, and you bet I remember how grueling the BFDIA 6 hiatus was, only a single video uploaded by Cary about how much weight steve could carry, it was truly the dark ages. I remember how amazing it was to finally receive IDFB 1… and then have a short hiatus (though it wasn’t as bad as the 2013-2015 one, we got TWOW out of it and stuff) To see so many new people stumble upon the series with BFB was super refreshing, although BFB itself literally came out of nowhere so I was very surprised to suddenly see it in my recommended (I originally thought it was a fan thing or something). To see all these new characters, most of which were trapped in the IDFB TLC have distinct personalities finally was honestly amazing; it felt like a great payoff for the wait, and I was rooting for the newbies most of the time. That being said, having Pencil and Leafy be the first two eliminated felt unreal to me, we finally get to see all these new characters shine through! Which made it all the more depressing to know that only Balloony, Taco, Lollipop, and Loser were the only newbies that made it into post-split. I agree that post-split needed a better cast; one that didn’t include 8 original BFDI contestants and could match/mesh better with Balloony. BFB 18’s elimination couldn’t have been more obvious. As for the other “newbie”, Profily’s introduction episode felt so dragged out, and felt like a joke that undermined the series. However, I have to say the character grew on me a bit, and their appearance in the finale is want makes me want to see them in another season. Overall, post-split, or season 4b might be the worst of BFDI currently, but definitely isn’t the worst in terms of the OSC’s content. The different animation styles make it feel like a blend of so many animators who were fans of the series wanting to work on BFB, which makes it feel special. Because of this, BFB 17 felt like a love letter to the BFB community and was a great plunge to BFB post split as a whole. So overall, I feel pretty neutral about post-split, glad that it happened, but also weirded out by the cast choices and character development throughout. I love to see someone with a similar retrospective of the OSC react to post-split, so amazing video!!!
while x’s screaming was incredibly annoying, i didn’t actually dislike bfb 20 that much. it sure has a lot of flaws, but i actually kind of like how 4 and x go crazy subtracting points. i don’t think anyone thought they were good hosts in the first place, so it kind of works. the chaos couldve been done better.
Great video! You’ve pretty much said a good chunk of how I felt about the post split. I just loved how much they did with characters like Blocky and Flower. Those two were definitely the MVPs of the post split. Btw, will the post split reactions be uploaded one day?

Ayy ya got through it! Great video! I might have to go through some episodes again to really remember stuff, but I thought the whole "Four tortured and abused us multiple times throughout the season but we forgive him now" thing was pretty silly even for BFDI standards. I also did really like the episode with the court. And it was incredibly satisfying to see the announcer again after so long. Also I feel like Profiley and Purple Face are such "we need to throw more characters in for some reason" BFDI characters. I mean I guess I'm glad they actually had lines and I oftentimes do enjoy when extremely obscure/one-off "characters" (or in Profiley's case, complete and utter unapologetic BS) get turned into more "full" characters, but it kinda makes you wonder why they exist. Then again, that's how about 3/4s of BFB's cast came into being, and I'm not majorly bothered or anything.
As a Spongy lover , I feel like his flaw wasn't that he was selfish at times because I feel like that's justified with all the bullying he has gone through and people ignoring him and treating him as a background character. In my opinion, his flaw was him being in Post Split, it didn't give him any time to develop his character and just felt like dead weight (pun not intended). I personally felt like he was better of in TPOT with Donut and Barf Bag where he can try to redeem his selfishness as Donut shows him the right path to being not just a selfish tool but something more. I don't even know why he joined BFB, he could have been caught by 4 and be eliminated instantly (along with Loser but this is about Spongy) and I just don't get why he abandoned his friends just to be eliminated in 2 episodes. I like the one-off jokes he did later on but it just felt wasted for Spongy as a whole, he had more than 10 years of torment by others and this is the way he parts off the whole series? REALLY!? I swear if a Season 6 were to happen, Season 6 BEETER INCLUDE SPONGY AND MAKE HIM LAST MORE THAN 7 EPISDOES SO PEOPLE REALLY SEE WHAT HE IS AND NOT JUST SEE HIM AS WORTHLESS FILLER, TACO HAD ANOTHER ARC WITH HIM AND A THIRD WITH BLOCKY BUT SPONGY GET NONE THAT ARE DIRECTLY HIS DOING OR SOMETHING THAT IS SHOWN MORE THAN 2 TIMES AND I'M LEGIT SO MAD THAT HE WAS WASTED LIKE THIS HE WAS MY COMFORT CHARACTER AND I'LL LIKELY NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN DUE TO HOW THE JNJ TEAM TREATS HIM. I just want Spongy to be improved and seen as more of a good character and not a background character with mean attributes and TPOT would've been perfect for him but for some reason JNJ had to fill the last remaining spot of Post Split with him, Cloudy could've filled that spot and resume Balloony's arc with him so Balloony didn't feel wasted.
Really glad to see you return, and this was a really great review, as always. I know I may have an unpopular opinion here, but BFB 20 was the episode that really got me into the post-split series. With episodes 17 and 19 (not so much 18), I could tell the writers were trying WAY to hard to reference past episodes and it hindered the quality of the episodes, but when 20 rolled around, it was a breath of fresh air. The writers were trying to do something new and it worked in my eyes. I honestly felt the “no rules” concept fit what post-split BFB was really well and I love how fast-paced and energized it all was. Wasn’t quite as good as a majority of what came after it, but I still really enjoy rewatching it. That’s just me though and I totally get why people didn’t like it.

I’ve got mixed feelings regarding post-split BFB. On one hand, I enjoyed how each episode after BFB 19 had something unique about it, like a different location or a new character being introduced. I also enjoyed how it set up some new character dynamics that weren’t one-off instances, which is something that weighs down pre-split BFB and, to a lesser extent, TPOT for me. Lastly, I enjoyed the twist of voting for a character to save at first, but I ultimately got sick of it when I saw Woody, Firey and Leafy constantly dominating everyone else. On the other hand, the writing felt just as clunky as pre-split BFB did. Granted, post-split isn’t trying as egregiously hard to make you take it seriously, but when it tried, it just felt like padding everything out. Don’t get me wrong, I liked seeing the Firey/Leafy conflict being resolved after being awkwardly revived in BFB 15, but it felt like it took up too much of BFB 22-25 when it should have just ended in BFDI. I feel like they especially tried too hard to take themselves seriously in BFB 29 and ESPECIALLY BFB 30. Considering the amount of off-the-wall nonsense that post-split prides itself on, the scenes that try to be emotional just feel like they’re clashing with the tone of the back half of the series. I also don’t like what they did with most of the characters. The only ones I really enjoyed were Gelatin and Teardrop, but it feels like they didn’t know what to do with the rest of the cast. I’ve been against the inclusion of Spongy and Loser since BFB 16, Balloony and Ruby got cut way too early, Bubble basically became window dressing for the rest of her team, Taco was basically reduced to an overbearing mother who yells at Blocky (though I do like her more suspicious side in BFB 29), Blocky’s pranks basically became his only character trait, Leafy and Firey felt like they were there exclusively for the arc, I felt like they were constantly pushing Flower to win and I don’t even know what they were trying to do with Lollipop and Woody. Not helping is that none of the the characters would shut up and the dialogue became an ordeal to sit through, especially in BFB 21 and the last two episodes. Overall, I’d call post-split BFB better than pre-split because it has some sense of what it wants to be and it doesn’t have as many moments of tonal whiplash, but it still suffers from weak writing that tries to take itself a bit too seriously. Plus, I liked a few more episodes, since I can point to 4 post-split episodes that I liked and only 2 pre-split episodes that I liked. PS: I’m under the impression that Profiley is just some random entity that Two took control of and sent to BFB to spy on the cast.
Post split is fine imo. I prefer pre split and tpot way more. I think I like post split less in the moment. But rewatching it I enjoy it a little more. I still think post split is just fine 0:42 I remember back in mid 2014 finding bfdi in my recommended and then me going on a rampage looking for shows like bfdi 1:21 LMAO I DID THE SAME THING AROUND 4TH GRADE. I would imagine making an object show in my head and write down what happens each episode and stuff like that 3:44 my problem with the cast is that some of them NEED the time to get developed and have stories that need to take time. Flower,firey,leafy One thing I really didn't enjoy about bfb 22 (Even though it's my favorite post split episode) was the Woody and blocky friendship that felt a bit forced and out of no where.

To be honest i was kinda hoping that bfb would be the more story focused season instead of tpot as we have less characters so the characters could have some meaningful development like flower, bubble and firey. Not once did I see any bubble and leafy development and I was kinda hoping that would be touched on but I’m not complaining because I’m happy on the season we got

My problem with the second half of BFB is the characters, and the poor decisions done with them. Going through each. What you said about Lollipop, Ruby, Taco, Gelatin, and Teardrop holds true for me. Not much to add. They’re all so so characters. Balloony wasn’t in the season long enough to improve or derail, but should’ve stayed as a TPOT contestant with Cloudy and Rocky. Firey and Leafy just existed to have their arc concluded. Bubble kinda felt like a filler character, which is a shame since she’s a former finalist. They were leading to something with her and Leafy and their frenemy phase, but nothing is done with it. Loser and Spongy disappoint me. If you’re gonna rig the game to have two characters rejoin without voter consent, especially when Spongy was eliminated in the same episode, I’d imagine you’d damn well do something spectacular with them to justify it. But instead they do pretty much nothing with their time back in the game and are the first two eliminated from the Have Nots. What was even the point. I think Pre-split BFB did a better job at having a balance between Woody being paranoid, while getting braver little by little and Flower trying to act nicer while still being held back by her past behavior. In split BFB though, both of their development just feels forced and inconsistent. Even the hosts aren’t immune to this. I use to like Four and X before the split when they had a more neutral presence towards the contestants while also being genuinely funny. Now X’s voice has been shifted up by 20 pitches and Four went from being chaotically neutral to emotionally unstable, and both got more annoying. Don’t even get me started on Purple Face, I liked him in his first few appearances because of how funny he was in BFDI 24, but my god did he wear out his welcome quickly. Is it just me or does it seem like it takes him 10 hours to finish a single sentence. Sounds almost as if his lines are ad libbed. Then he’s given in a mini arc in BFB 30, which I just didn’t give a rats ass about. Blocky (for the most part) and Announcer at least stayed awesome.
If you said that Spongy and Loser unfairly rejoined like, Loser was weird in Post-Split do you think he is able to return in Season 6 or he’ll, Maybe TPOT and develop and improve, What’s your thoughts?
@@DizzyPunch my opinions kinda changed. Leafy and Firey are now below Loser, but all 3 I now just dislike. Flower is now ahead of Bubble. I kinda saw Firey and Leafy as floaters because the younger fans and stuff voting them.
I really liked post-split BFB for the Firey and Leafy arc. I was rooting for Leafy to win, and was kind of disappointed that Flower won, only for the fact that she was rigged from being eliminated twice because of the vote battles that were happening because of people looking at the vote counters. It felt like she didn’t deserve to be there, but other than that, I am glad she won.
still find it dumb that people like Woody, 8-Ball, and Match who did their sh*t for one episode got eliminated basically immediately afterwards by viewers, yet Leafy and Book, the latter who did her BS for TEN EPISODES, got forgiven and got away with what they did.
Having just rewatched the entire show (and noe having watched this) after I found and watched tpot 3-5 due to me getting a notification for tpot 5 releasing, I actually really liked episode 20. It felt a bit like a satire on bad episodes, especially with the points system, and all of the characters blatantly ignoring X being on fire and making everything more uneedlessly difficult for themselves.
Great review. i Agree on most of your points Imo I think post-split is overhated at the same time overrated. While there were HORRIBLE episodes [eg. BFB 19 and 20] there were also really good enjoyable episodes [eg BFB 22 and 29]. Espically when you re-watch them, Overall it was okay. One thing I really liked that this series gave off the BFDI season 1 feel, silly little episodes made in one month. But sometims it came with problems, Like in some episdes they could've taken more time. Example BFB 25. instead of literally taking about like 2 weeks for each episode, it couldve been atleast 4 weeks for each episode. they did that with the first 2 season they could do it with this one. Overall i give Post-Split a 7/8 out of 10
As a loser stan, I completely agree with your points. About the underrated contestants.. You think JNJ would make a entire season using underrated post split bfb contestants and TPOT Debuters? Aswell as some of the characters who made one time appearances
I GOT INTO OBJECT SHOWS AROUND THE SAME TIME I actually forgot about them mostly until the Total Drama resurgence, and for a while I assumed BFB got cancelled around Episode 12 because I already lost hope in a completed season twice (Also had something to do with me getting older and thinking object shows were “cringe”, in that sort of way where you feel bad for liking something because it’s weird and fandom-centric)
Honestly pre-split I loved Flower and wanted to see where they would go with her. Then when the first few episodes of post-spilt came I just saw her as an obnoxious sympathy tool.
Good video. I don't know if this is unpopular or anything, but Post-Split started to really suck when merge hit; my favorite episode, 23, is next to my least favorite, 24. I felt like pre-merge episodes, besides 21, were fun, though inferior to BFDI in every single way. On the other hand, post-merge episodes were big slogs and focused so much on talking and talking and talking and not much action. That was my problem with 21; I expected a raid with security and stuff. It also kind of bugged me that the BFDI finalists got as far as they did. I think Firey is surprisingly good and deserved to make merge, but Leafy is inconsistent in quality and Bubble is nonexistent. Balloony got robbed :(
Yeah, the worst part of these batches of episodes is the animations and characters. My favorite flower and teardrop. I like woody, blocky, gelatin, lollipop fiery and leafy. I dislike Ruby, Bubble, Balloony, etc. Even lollipop was worst, she was the only “mean” one which could’ve added drama into the show. Now she’s too nice. It isn’t her, it feels weird and I felt like lolipop should’ve kept the same personality. Maybe less rude, but still, I still really like her and gelatin alliance too. Bubble became non-existence, she has a whole character arc with toxic friends, this could’ve added so much drama with leafy and fiery. Flower is so nice out of nowhere, I really wished she became nicer throughout the episode. Like in episode 18, I liked how she still had her rude side. Taco sucked in this season, she was only good in the blocky arc, I just wish she wasn’t this stuiped. Anyways, she became obsolete after book left. She should’ve been the therapist of the crew, helping and healing the drama. Balloony, I love him but they basically killed him on purpose. Loser, I was a loser fan and he was so annoying in this part of the season. I don’t even want to rant. So yeah, this is my character list.
I honestly feel like Have Cots dominated the challenge too much, they constantly won for the most stupidest reasons, I also felt like they always had the advantages and knowledge, I just think the team was too overpowered I felt like it would be a nice change if the have nots won EP 23 or 21

I feel like overall Post Split is a season that while being just kinda worst than all of the BFDI franchise, I still feel like it is a decent show and overall is pretty entertaining due to the challenges and the limited fresh air we get from Lollipop and Teardrop. I think if Lollipop never got that far, the show would be a lot worst, but in my opinion I think Gelatin in the show overall was in the best state in the last episodes of BFB. It really did feel like they got a good balance between his chill side and overly ecstatic side that some liked (probably because of how insanely loud leafy and flower is, so they had no one to balance it except for Gelatin) and overall I do like the show, but its flaws make it to where I don't exactly call it very good either. If you want to see the 14 characters from 64 characters be expanded upon (except for taco, and spongy) then go ahead, it is pretty valuable for those characters that got the development that even though they didn't need it was valuable seeing characters like Blocky expand upon and truly become fully his own. He was already great but I think he was my favorite this season along with Lollipop. And for Leafy, I like the fake niceness approach they gave her and for Flower she's fine, but the Arc she had was done alright, I feel like it should've been less quick and not been immediately done with in 10 seconds with Flower saving the show. I do like BFB Post Split, it was surprisingly decent for what everyone called as a horrible show. I think my least favorite episodes have to be BFB 26, and BFB 25. And my favorites are pretty obviously BFB 22 and BFB 30.
I know I’m pretty obviously easy-to-please(my name is Bingles *Praise* after all) but I loved this season. After years of not watching this show I grew up with, I’m obviously going to have some bias there too, but still. I loved the reference fuel, Firey and Leafy *finally* getting together again, Announcer coming back, Four and X becoming even more likable than they already were, the absolutely BEAUTIFUL backgrounds, etc. I do agree though, I didn’t like BFB 20. I didn’t like X being in pain, and(what I theorize is) getting so frustrated with it that his mentality breaks down to a bitter irrationality. I love him too much to see that.
Tbh a cast change would've worked much better. I came up with my own idea of the final 14 myself also pencil and liy replace loser in rejoining meaning price tag doesn't join (which isn't a big loss) and I've split them into teams with potential for interactions. Team 1 Firey,leafy,icy,pencil,bubble,ruby and td. For one ice cube and firey have a rivalry,she has a hatership of leafy, was on the same team as TD (which wouldn't mean a lot let's be honest) and following the events of bfb 14 is in the alliance again. We also have the fireafy arc. We also have an arc I made up with (not sure if it's good or not) basically pencil adds td to the alliance as an alternate and after seeing all the pain this alliance is causing she decides to to a nice act and a strategic act by braking the alliance apart from the inside (mybye with the help of bubble and eventually ruby). Team 2 Eraser,blocky,pen,woody,barf bag,gelatin,and spongy. This team would also have two arcs The woody/bro alliance arc would still happen (barf bag would take the place of taco) And another arc would happen being spongy/gelatins/barf bags redemption arc Rest are in tpot il update this comment later (Also I think tpot should be the more plot based and better animated show with plot arcs with the cast I just mentioned)
I was gonna comment this when I first saw this like a year ago but I was kinda late and I thought you wouldn’t see this. But you said in another video you do read every comment so I guess I will. I like this season but one thing that bothered me was the amount of unnecessary references. Like the last few seasons used a reference as the occasional joke or for the plot to progress. But in this they were so unnecessary and had no reason to exist apart from like REMEMBER THAT EPISODE.
and it's especially hard to remember them since it's been so long since the original season. When it was finishing in 2020, 10 years had passed. Even as a big fan of the series, I found myself lost on a few references
Honestly the Huangs really betrayed Balloony in post split. He was a great character in pre split, but then when post split came around, Balloony was… different. He was **normal.** Little to no personality from pre split, being put on a team of fan favourites, Balloony was doomed from the start.
I personally enjoyed the post split. I thought it even better than pre split. Before the finale. I really dislike bfb 30. I have many reasons why, but it will take 100 hours to explain. But, seeing how everyone like it, makes me very confused.. I know, that this is my opinion, but It really bothers me enjoy franchise as a whole. Here's so many opinions.. As an extreamly sensitive person, I am very dependent from what people tell me. Just.. I never know where's the truth. This is really messing me up..
I dropped the series when the split happened, imagine keeping up with bfb for years then halfway through 2 just gets introduced in a single episode, then just splits the show in half just because (obviously there were technical reasons, but in universe it feels off). Like, the whole reason I really liked BFB was the sheer amount of characters (sorta like the smash ultimate of object shows) then half of the casts leaves in a single episode lol. sorta left a sour taste in my mouth, kinda like ending of wano in one piece.
In my opinion Balloony and Loser should have been in TPOT Balloony was robbed in Post-Split and didn’t really fit. I hope he gets developed as well Loser didn’t do anything but If he does get in TPOT, He would develop with Winner and possibly be more interesting throughout.
BFB Post-Split has to my least favorite season yet, they choose characters with small fan bases, or don’t deserve to be in the show at all, the two people rejoining in BFB did not deserve to be in Post-Split BFB, there were so many other characters that could’ve taken their place, except 8-ball “He deserves to be E.X.I.T F O R E V E R!”. They shouldn’t have put Balloony in Post-Split BFB, I honestly felt like Balloony was just there to be the first eliminated, and the final two I didn’t like much, and it just felt like they wanted Flower to win.
TBH, if Taco survived BFB 22, I actually think Woody would’ve won, with this order: 10th: Flower 9th: Bubble (does not change, since her team was ufe instead of Woody’s) 8th: Taco (because we’d get more Blocky screentime, and as a result, I feel like Blocky would get enough support to survive) 7th: Firey (Could’ve had Blocky here, but I think people wouldn’t want another winner) 6th: Blocky (either him or Woody, but Woody still had a massive fanbase and would likely get more votes still) 5.5th: Profily 5th: Lollipop (I feel like Woody would stop with pranks by this point, and we’d get to see Lollipop and Woody form a bit of a friendship) 4th: Leafy (Since Woody is in Flower’s place, I feel like people would sympathize with him for being betrayed by Teardrop) 3rd: Teardrop (Woody would have immunity) 2nd/1st: Gelatin and/or Woody.
This is my review of BFB (Probably gonna make this into a video) Bfb was my fav season, and really good, although i do have some problems -1: it really annoys me how nobody at all talks about Donut, and just includes him into the “mean” catagorie. I feel like nobody remembers how he literally sacrificed his own life for his team -Gelatin didnt match his personality in BFDIA. which honesty is a good thing, i disliked Gelatin is BFDIA, and in BFB is was way better (i dont even remember BFDIA much anymore, cuz its was so boring) -I absolutely hate Profiley and their main episode. I feel as if Profilely was only there to just serve as a character to tick Four off into leaving. Which, his own original contastants did that way better then them. It was also very random that they showed up, with no reason at all, also the episode was boring also i disliked Lollipop. She was very annoying and quite mean until Two stole Fours contestants. Then she randomly became better?
BFB 20 is my least favorite too because ruby was my favorite and the plot of the episode was just all over the place. It was also just a second BFB 19 except it’s about X. This episode had no impact on me except the Ruby elimination. The vote was now way too hard.
Rocky should’ve been replaced with Balloony in the Post Split. Rocky couldve been eliminated early and not provide anything to the plot as Balloony ddint. And balloony could easily join The S

I’m sorry, but Loser to me is a terrible character He sucked out all of the character out of the rest of his team in pre-split, then when he got out, the other Losers did more. Huh. He rejoined unfairly, like Spongy, only to do nothing with his character except giving him the most inflated ego. Also Profily should not count in the rankings, that little cheat.

Blocky derailed so much in Post Split that he went from a funny mean character who has his friend group, to a lonely "prankster" getting ridiculed by a Karen every episode to try and make him become friends with a person he's been bullying for 11 years which somehow WORKS. It's so unnatural and weird to see him be friends with Woody, and since I joined a bit before the split happened, it feels like I came too late, and just watched as the series was ruined episode by episode. BFB 15 is my favourite episode, followed by 13 & 14, so it's clear they really improved as a series in the later part of Pre-Split, but they really just ruined it in Post-Split. I was happy about the finale originally, but now I'm not too sure as it just felt so forced, and everyone is happy with each other which doesn't really work in a case where there's always been conflict since 11 YEARS prior. I just hope they do something about it, otherwise I don't really know what to think.

Honestly I thought they kinda butchered Flower. She has been changed so much to the point where she has become the antithesis of herself in the first season.
She went from total asshole to wacky golfball who wants to be everyone's friend. I think BFB hit the perfect middle ground where she wants to make friends and put her past behind her but still shows elements of ego and selfishness that hold her back.
I think a lot of post split characters were changed too much but I feel it with Flower especially and honestly the emotion they were going for in finale didn't hit for me because her development didn't feel earned.
It was definitely a big shift in characterization, but I think I enjoyed it more than some others due to her likability. I can see why a lot of people took issue with this shift, however
I completely agree. Honestly I think most of the characters best version of themselves were pre split BFB. Post split BFB felt over the top, boring, and it really forced development and change in personality on characters like Flower.

they obviously wanted her to win, here is a list showing how:
- Making it vote to save to give her more sympathy votes
- That one scene with purple face at the end of bfb 23 (i enjoyed it but it still felt forced)
- Flower talking about how she wanted to redeem herself in episode 24
- Flower being betrayed by teardrop after befriending her in episode 27
- Flower being ganged up on by gelatin and TD in episode 28
and of course
- Despite everything, Flower chooses to spend her personal money on saving bfb
Not all of these reasons may be true, but i feel nothing when hearing the fact that she won, because of how forced it feels.
Nothing against jacknjellify, they still know how to write good episodes (showing by tpot), and they really wanted to have a heartfelt finale, but to me, it just felt forced :P

Adding to my first comment, you’re dead on about Spongy. I use to love him so much for the reasons you stated. Then he became surprisingly vengeful towards everyone in BFB 14 and 15. Which I could’ve gotten over since one can only take being mistreated for so long, but then the split made him a smug prick, and that just sucks.
oh for me its the opposite. I had a bad opinion of Spongy in BFDI, mostly because his challenge rejoin could have been utilized by another character (ie. Pin, Snowball, Teardrop, etc.) and due to his general flanderised personality of "fat". In BFDIA its up to neutral, only difference was his sacrificing in BFDIA. In BFB he started to grow on me due to his relation with Barf Bag (and in post-split, Loser), despite the unfair rejoin. In late BFB though, I liked his "contrarian" personality a lot
How I would fix him: He would save his teammates in his rocket ship (It doesnt make sense for him to leave them stranded when Donut sacrificed himself for Spongy) and in episode 15, he would shoot the cannons at Puffball in order to PROVE his worth to his team. This couldve saved his character immensely

I personally don’t like split BFB as a whole. There were some good aspects like a smaller cast, a few good episodes but for every good thing it did, it seems like it does three things worse. I didn’t like shift in tone from pre-split BFB, the writing feels like it isn’t trying sometimes and could be all over the place, the humor is hit or miss, with mostly misses, a lot of the characters I feel changed for the worst.
Another thing that isn’t brought up a lot that I don’t like is how BFB continues on as if the final 14 are the only competitors in the whole season, while completely throwing the exitors, like 8-Ball and Roboty, to the side. Just makes it seem like Four never intended on freeing them.
Also ngl, as someone who enjoyed Profily in their first appearance, I found your reactions really damn hilarious.
But, it is what it is, at least another season of BFDI finished. This video was a blast to watch and I’ll hopefully be on during the livestream.
My biggest problem with the season was the voting.
I love the concept of the saving.
But it kinda flopped when eliminations came down to botters.
Ruby-Gelatin (BFB 20)
Blocky-Flower (BFB 24)
Flower-Blocky-Firey-Taco (BFB 22)
Instead of being popularity based, these eliminations came down to whoever could bot the most would survive.
And I understand with 50k voters, it's hard to have everyone vote fairly. People are going to use mulitple accounts.
But they made zero effort to do anything about it.
Cary even said in one of his reactions, "Botting is ok, as long as everyone is botted" Which was probably the worst thing he could have said.
After this, every elimination delt with tons of bot accounts, and even some elims were caused by bots, like Taco, which any votes over time would show she would have likely ended 2nd most voted at the end if it wasn't for Blocky, Flower, and Firey being botted. Causing her to fall to last
And just knowing my 1 vote was going to be the same as someone else's 10 alt votes was a turn off from the series for me.
Also Flower was a problem, but I don't want to start bring up all my arguements from months ago, but I found her so annoying, boring, unconsistent, and just a pity character.
I agree botting is bad but I'd still much rather take save voting over elimination voting. Elimination voting feels specifically designed to kick out interesting characters and keep in floaters.
Someone's definitely going to have to update me on this botting drama in my livestrean. Thats a big shock

For those that don't know: For those that were active in the community back then, BFB 20's voting period was probably the most controversial vote in bfdi maybe ever, the whole fiasco involved alt accounts and botting and my server was kinda in the center of the whole thing, it was a mess, that voting period alone was the start of the decline of my 1,5k~ member server, my youtube channel and my interest for BFB as a whole, as I'm writing this comment I feel like that might be a main reason as to why i have such a negative opinion on post-split bfb, it drove me away from the community aswell, after all that was a big part of watching BFB for me, it's a community-based show after all

ANOTHER AUGUST 2013-er??? INSANE!
Before I talk about my take on post-split, some backstory: I was literally 9 when I first stumbled upon the series, and almost 9 years after that I couldn’t be more grateful to see the OSC change and grow. My first “new” episode I ever saw was Inanimate Insanity II Episode 5, and you bet I remember how grueling the BFDIA 6 hiatus was, only a single video uploaded by Cary about how much weight steve could carry, it was truly the dark ages. I remember how amazing it was to finally receive IDFB 1… and then have a short hiatus (though it wasn’t as bad as the 2013-2015 one, we got TWOW out of it and stuff)
To see so many new people stumble upon the series with BFB was super refreshing, although BFB itself literally came out of nowhere so I was very surprised to suddenly see it in my recommended (I originally thought it was a fan thing or something). To see all these new characters, most of which were trapped in the IDFB TLC have distinct personalities finally was honestly amazing; it felt like a great payoff for the wait, and I was rooting for the newbies most of the time. That being said, having Pencil and Leafy be the first two eliminated felt unreal to me, we finally get to see all these new characters shine through!
Which made it all the more depressing to know that only Balloony, Taco, Lollipop, and Loser were the only newbies that made it into post-split. I agree that post-split needed a better cast; one that didn’t include 8 original BFDI contestants and could match/mesh better with Balloony. BFB 18’s elimination couldn’t have been more obvious. As for the other “newbie”, Profily’s introduction episode felt so dragged out, and felt like a joke that undermined the series. However, I have to say the character grew on me a bit, and their appearance in the finale is want makes me want to see them in another season.
Overall, post-split, or season 4b might be the worst of BFDI currently, but definitely isn’t the worst in terms of the OSC’s content. The different animation styles make it feel like a blend of so many animators who were fans of the series wanting to work on BFB, which makes it feel special. Because of this, BFB 17 felt like a love letter to the BFB community and was a great plunge to BFB post split as a whole.
So overall, I feel pretty neutral about post-split, glad that it happened, but also weirded out by the cast choices and character development throughout. I love to see someone with a similar retrospective of the OSC react to post-split, so amazing video!!!

while x’s screaming was incredibly annoying, i didn’t actually dislike bfb 20 that much. it sure has a lot of flaws, but i actually kind of like how 4 and x go crazy subtracting points. i don’t think anyone thought they were good hosts in the first place, so it kind of works. the chaos couldve been done better.

I might have to go through some episodes again to really remember stuff, but I thought the whole "Four tortured and abused us multiple times throughout the season but we forgive him now" thing was pretty silly even for BFDI standards. I also did really like the episode with the court. And it was incredibly satisfying to see the announcer again after so long.
Also I feel like Profiley and Purple Face are such "we need to throw more characters in for some reason" BFDI characters. I mean I guess I'm glad they actually had lines and I oftentimes do enjoy when extremely obscure/one-off "characters" (or in Profiley's case, complete and utter unapologetic BS) get turned into more "full" characters, but it kinda makes you wonder why they exist. Then again, that's how about 3/4s of BFB's cast came into being, and I'm not majorly bothered or anything.
As a Spongy lover , I feel like his flaw wasn't that he was selfish at times because I feel like that's justified with all the bullying he has gone through and people ignoring him and treating him as a background character. In my opinion, his flaw was him being in Post Split, it didn't give him any time to develop his character and just felt like dead weight (pun not intended).
I personally felt like he was better of in TPOT with Donut and Barf Bag where he can try to redeem his selfishness as Donut shows him the right path to being not just a selfish tool but something more. I don't even know why he joined BFB, he could have been caught by 4 and be eliminated instantly (along with Loser but this is about Spongy) and I just don't get why he abandoned his friends just to be eliminated in 2 episodes.
I like the one-off jokes he did later on but it just felt wasted for Spongy as a whole, he had more than 10 years of torment by others and this is the way he parts off the whole series? REALLY!? I swear if a Season 6 were to happen, Season 6 BEETER INCLUDE SPONGY AND MAKE HIM LAST MORE THAN 7 EPISDOES SO PEOPLE REALLY SEE WHAT HE IS AND NOT JUST SEE HIM AS WORTHLESS FILLER, TACO HAD ANOTHER ARC WITH HIM AND A THIRD WITH BLOCKY BUT SPONGY GET NONE THAT ARE DIRECTLY HIS DOING OR SOMETHING THAT IS SHOWN MORE THAN 2 TIMES AND I'M LEGIT SO MAD THAT HE WAS WASTED LIKE THIS HE WAS MY COMFORT CHARACTER AND I'LL LIKELY NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN DUE TO HOW THE JNJ TEAM TREATS HIM.
I just want Spongy to be improved and seen as more of a good character and not a background character with mean attributes and TPOT would've been perfect for him but for some reason JNJ had to fill the last remaining spot of Post Split with him, Cloudy could've filled that spot and resume Balloony's arc with him so Balloony didn't feel wasted.

I know I may have an unpopular opinion here, but BFB 20 was the episode that really got me into the post-split series. With episodes 17 and 19 (not so much 18), I could tell the writers were trying WAY to hard to reference past episodes and it hindered the quality of the episodes, but when 20 rolled around, it was a breath of fresh air. The writers were trying to do something new and it worked in my eyes. I honestly felt the “no rules” concept fit what post-split BFB was really well and I love how fast-paced and energized it all was. Wasn’t quite as good as a majority of what came after it, but I still really enjoy rewatching it. That’s just me though and I totally get why people didn’t like it.

Great video, I do agree with you, I think but some episodes have a missed ep 19 (In my opinion, Just cannot hold my attention).From the top of your head what your favorite recommended character.
I’ve got mixed feelings regarding post-split BFB. On one hand, I enjoyed how each episode after BFB 19 had something unique about it, like a different location or a new character being introduced. I also enjoyed how it set up some new character dynamics that weren’t one-off instances, which is something that weighs down pre-split BFB and, to a lesser extent, TPOT for me. Lastly, I enjoyed the twist of voting for a character to save at first, but I ultimately got sick of it when I saw Woody, Firey and Leafy constantly dominating everyone else.
On the other hand, the writing felt just as clunky as pre-split BFB did. Granted, post-split isn’t trying as egregiously hard to make you take it seriously, but when it tried, it just felt like padding everything out. Don’t get me wrong, I liked seeing the Firey/Leafy conflict being resolved after being awkwardly revived in BFB 15, but it felt like it took up too much of BFB 22-25 when it should have just ended in BFDI. I feel like they especially tried too hard to take themselves seriously in BFB 29 and ESPECIALLY BFB 30. Considering the amount of off-the-wall nonsense that post-split prides itself on, the scenes that try to be emotional just feel like they’re clashing with the tone of the back half of the series. I also don’t like what they did with most of the characters. The only ones I really enjoyed were Gelatin and Teardrop, but it feels like they didn’t know what to do with the rest of the cast. I’ve been against the inclusion of Spongy and Loser since BFB 16, Balloony and Ruby got cut way too early, Bubble basically became window dressing for the rest of her team, Taco was basically reduced to an overbearing mother who yells at Blocky (though I do like her more suspicious side in BFB 29), Blocky’s pranks basically became his only character trait, Leafy and Firey felt like they were there exclusively for the arc, I felt like they were constantly pushing Flower to win and I don’t even know what they were trying to do with Lollipop and Woody. Not helping is that none of the the characters would shut up and the dialogue became an ordeal to sit through, especially in BFB 21 and the last two episodes.
Overall, I’d call post-split BFB better than pre-split because it has some sense of what it wants to be and it doesn’t have as many moments of tonal whiplash, but it still suffers from weak writing that tries to take itself a bit too seriously. Plus, I liked a few more episodes, since I can point to 4 post-split episodes that I liked and only 2 pre-split episodes that I liked.
PS: I’m under the impression that Profiley is just some random entity that Two took control of and sent to BFB to spy on the cast.

Post split is fine imo. I prefer pre split and tpot way more. I think I like post split less in the moment. But rewatching it I enjoy it a little more. I still think post split is just fine

One thing I really didn't enjoy about bfb 22 (Even though it's my favorite post split episode) was the Woody and blocky friendship that felt a bit forced and out of no where.

Nah what we did was just do a big recording session in order to catch up with the series. After my BB16 Reaction video got lost in editing, I decided I'd just wait 'till it was over due to a busy schedule.
To be honest i was kinda hoping that bfb would be the more story focused season instead of tpot as we have less characters so the characters could have some meaningful development like flower, bubble and firey. Not once did I see any bubble and leafy development and I was kinda hoping that would be touched on but I’m not complaining because I’m happy on the season we got

I love pre split teardrop because from the little we saw it shows how even though people usually just saw her as a pushover cuz she couldnt talk, she was on point and independent
My problem with the second half of BFB is the characters, and the poor decisions done with them. Going through each.
What you said about Lollipop, Ruby, Taco, Gelatin, and Teardrop holds true for me. Not much to add. They’re all so so characters.
Balloony wasn’t in the season long enough to improve or derail, but should’ve stayed as a TPOT contestant with Cloudy and Rocky.
Firey and Leafy just existed to have their arc concluded.
Bubble kinda felt like a filler character, which is a shame since she’s a former finalist. They were leading to something with her and Leafy and their frenemy phase, but nothing is done with it.
Loser and Spongy disappoint me. If you’re gonna rig the game to have two characters rejoin without voter consent, especially when Spongy was eliminated in the same episode, I’d imagine you’d damn well do something spectacular with them to justify it. But instead they do pretty much nothing with their time back in the game and are the first two eliminated from the Have Nots. What was even the point.
I think Pre-split BFB did a better job at having a balance between Woody being paranoid, while getting braver little by little and Flower trying to act nicer while still being held back by her past behavior. In split BFB though, both of their development just feels forced and inconsistent.
Even the hosts aren’t immune to this. I use to like Four and X before the split when they had a more neutral presence towards the contestants while also being genuinely funny. Now X’s voice has been shifted up by 20 pitches and Four went from being chaotically neutral to emotionally unstable, and both got more annoying.
Don’t even get me started on Purple Face, I liked him in his first few appearances because of how funny he was in BFDI 24, but my god did he wear out his welcome quickly. Is it just me or does it seem like it takes him 10 hours to finish a single sentence. Sounds almost as if his lines are ad libbed. Then he’s given in a mini arc in BFB 30, which I just didn’t give a rats ass about.
Blocky (for the most part) and Announcer at least stayed awesome.
Ruby derailed but Gelatin Teardrop Lollipop and Taco all got better

I really liked post-split BFB for the Firey and Leafy arc. I was rooting for Leafy to win, and was kind of disappointed that Flower won, only for the fact that she was rigged from being eliminated twice because of the vote battles that were happening because of people looking at the vote counters. It felt like she didn’t deserve to be there, but other than that, I am glad she won.
still find it dumb that people like Woody, 8-Ball, and Match who did their sh*t for one episode got eliminated basically immediately afterwards by viewers, yet Leafy and Book, the latter who did her BS for TEN EPISODES, got forgiven and got away with what they did.
Having just rewatched the entire show (and noe having watched this) after I found and watched tpot 3-5 due to me getting a notification for tpot 5 releasing, I actually really liked episode 20.
It felt a bit like a satire on bad episodes, especially with the points system, and all of the characters blatantly ignoring X being on fire and making everything more uneedlessly difficult for themselves.

Imo I think post-split is overhated at the same time overrated. While there were HORRIBLE episodes [eg. BFB 19 and 20] there were also really good enjoyable episodes [eg BFB 22 and 29].
Espically when you re-watch them, Overall it was okay. One thing I really liked that this series gave off the BFDI season 1 feel, silly little episodes made in one month. But sometims it came with problems, Like in some episdes they could've taken more time. Example BFB 25. instead of literally taking about like 2 weeks for each episode, it couldve been atleast 4 weeks for each episode. they did that with the first 2 season they could do it with this one. Overall i give Post-Split a 7/8 out of 10

I actually forgot about them mostly until the Total Drama resurgence, and for a while I assumed BFB got cancelled around Episode 12 because I already lost hope in a completed season twice
(Also had something to do with me getting older and thinking object shows were “cringe”, in that sort of way where you feel bad for liking something because it’s weird and fandom-centric)

I LOVED Bfb, except when the split happened. It felt so forced and the voting format was icky. The season couldve been so different and ingaging.
Honestly pre-split I loved Flower and wanted to see where they would go with her. Then when the first few episodes of post-spilt came I just saw her as an obnoxious sympathy tool.
And with Four and X returning in TPOT 6, They had their Pre-Split personalities and improved highly, so they would just forget about Post-Split.

I don't know if this is unpopular or anything, but Post-Split started to really suck when merge hit; my favorite episode, 23, is next to my least favorite, 24. I felt like pre-merge episodes, besides 21, were fun, though inferior to BFDI in every single way. On the other hand, post-merge episodes were big slogs and focused so much on talking and talking and talking and not much action. That was my problem with 21; I expected a raid with security and stuff.
It also kind of bugged me that the BFDI finalists got as far as they did. I think Firey is surprisingly good and deserved to make merge, but Leafy is inconsistent in quality and Bubble is nonexistent.

Yeah, the worst part of these batches of episodes is the animations and characters. My favorite flower and teardrop. I like woody, blocky, gelatin, lollipop fiery and leafy. I dislike Ruby, Bubble, Balloony, etc. Even lollipop was worst, she was the only “mean” one which could’ve added drama into the show. Now she’s too nice. It isn’t her, it feels weird and I felt like lolipop should’ve kept the same personality. Maybe less rude, but still, I still really like her and gelatin alliance too. Bubble became non-existence, she has a whole character arc with toxic friends, this could’ve added so much drama with leafy and fiery. Flower is so nice out of nowhere, I really wished she became nicer throughout the episode. Like in episode 18, I liked how she still had her rude side. Taco sucked in this season, she was only good in the blocky arc, I just wish she wasn’t this stuiped. Anyways, she became obsolete after book left. She should’ve been the therapist of the crew, helping and healing the drama. Balloony, I love him but they basically killed him on purpose. Loser, I was a loser fan and he was so annoying in this part of the season. I don’t even want to rant. So yeah, this is my character list.

I feel like overall Post Split is a season that while being just kinda worst than all of the BFDI franchise, I still feel like it is a decent show and overall is pretty entertaining due to the challenges and the limited fresh air we get from Lollipop and Teardrop. I think if Lollipop never got that far, the show would be a lot worst, but in my opinion I think Gelatin in the show overall was in the best state in the last episodes of BFB. It really did feel like they got a good balance between his chill side and overly ecstatic side that some liked (probably because of how insanely loud leafy and flower is, so they had no one to balance it except for Gelatin) and overall I do like the show, but its flaws make it to where I don't exactly call it very good either. If you want to see the 14 characters from 64 characters be expanded upon (except for taco, and spongy) then go ahead, it is pretty valuable for those characters that got the development that even though they didn't need it was valuable seeing characters like Blocky expand upon and truly become fully his own. He was already great but I think he was my favorite this season along with Lollipop. And for Leafy, I like the fake niceness approach they gave her and for Flower she's fine, but the Arc she had was done alright, I feel like it should've been less quick and not been immediately done with in 10 seconds with Flower saving the show. I do like BFB Post Split, it was surprisingly decent for what everyone called as a horrible show. I think my least favorite episodes have to be BFB 26, and BFB 25. And my favorites are pretty obviously BFB 22 and BFB 30.
I know I’m pretty obviously easy-to-please(my name is Bingles *Praise* after all) but I loved this season. After years of not watching this show I grew up with, I’m obviously going to have some bias there too, but still.
I loved the reference fuel, Firey and Leafy *finally* getting together again, Announcer coming back, Four and X becoming even more likable than they already were, the absolutely BEAUTIFUL backgrounds, etc.
I do agree though, I didn’t like BFB 20. I didn’t like X being in pain, and(what I theorize is) getting so frustrated with it that his mentality breaks down to a bitter irrationality. I love him too much to see that.

Tbh a cast change would've worked much better. I came up with my own idea of the final 14 myself also pencil and liy replace loser in rejoining meaning price tag doesn't join (which isn't a big loss) and I've split them into teams with potential for interactions.
Team 1
Firey,leafy,icy,pencil,bubble,ruby and td. For one ice cube and firey have a rivalry,she has a hatership of leafy, was on the same team as TD (which wouldn't mean a lot let's be honest) and following the events of bfb 14 is in the alliance again. We also have the fireafy arc. We also have an arc I made up with (not sure if it's good or not) basically pencil adds td to the alliance as an alternate and after seeing all the pain this alliance is causing she decides to to a nice act and a strategic act by braking the alliance apart from the inside (mybye with the help of bubble and eventually ruby).
Team 2
Eraser,blocky,pen,woody,barf bag,gelatin,and spongy.
This team would also have two arcs
The woody/bro alliance arc would still happen (barf bag would take the place of taco)
And another arc would happen being spongy/gelatins/barf bags redemption arc

(Also I think tpot should be the more plot based and better animated show with plot arcs with the cast I just mentioned)

I like this season but one thing that bothered me was the amount of unnecessary references. Like the last few seasons used a reference as the occasional joke or for the plot to progress. But in this they were so unnecessary and had no reason to exist apart from like REMEMBER THAT EPISODE.
and it's especially hard to remember them since it's been so long since the original season. When it was finishing in 2020, 10 years had passed. Even as a big fan of the series, I found myself lost on a few references

Honestly the Huangs really betrayed Balloony in post split. He was a great character in pre split, but then when post split came around, Balloony was… different. He was **normal.** Little to no personality from pre split, being put on a team of fan favourites, Balloony was doomed from the start.
I personally enjoyed the post split. I thought it even better than pre split.

I dropped the series when the split happened, imagine keeping up with bfb for years then halfway through 2 just gets introduced in a single episode, then just splits the show in half just because (obviously there were technical reasons, but in universe it feels off). Like, the whole reason I really liked BFB was the sheer amount of characters (sorta like the smash ultimate of object shows) then half of the casts leaves in a single episode lol. sorta left a sour taste in my mouth, kinda like ending of wano in one piece.

BFB Post-Split has to my least favorite season yet, they choose characters with small fan bases, or don’t deserve to be in the show at all, the two people rejoining in BFB did not deserve to be in Post-Split BFB, there were so many other characters that could’ve taken their place, except 8-ball “He deserves to be E.X.I.T F O R E V E R!”. They shouldn’t have put Balloony in Post-Split BFB, I honestly felt like Balloony was just there to be the first eliminated, and the final two I didn’t like much, and it just felt like they wanted Flower to win.

9th: Bubble (does not change, since her team was ufe instead of Woody’s)

Bfb was my fav season, and really good, although i do have some problems
-1: it really annoys me how nobody at all talks about Donut, and just includes him into the “mean” catagorie. I feel like nobody remembers how he literally sacrificed his own life for his team
-Gelatin didnt match his personality in BFDIA. which honesty is a good thing, i disliked Gelatin is BFDIA, and in BFB is was way better (i dont even remember BFDIA much anymore, cuz its was so boring)
-I absolutely hate Profiley and their main episode. I feel as if Profilely was only there to just serve as a character to tick Four off into leaving. Which, his own original contastants did that way better then them. It was also very random that they showed up, with no reason at all, also the episode was boring
also i disliked Lollipop. She was very annoying and quite mean until Two stole Fours contestants. Then she randomly became better?

17:23 I heavily disagree with this part. Blocky derailed so much in Post Split that he went from a funny mean character who has his friend group, to a lonely "prankster" getting ridiculed by a Karen every episode to try and make him become friends with a person he's been bullying for 11 years which somehow WORKS. It's so unnatural and weird to see him be friends with Woody, and since I joined a bit before the split happened, it feels like I came too late, and just watched as the series was ruined episode by episode. BFB 15 is my favourite episode, followed by 13 & 14, so it's clear they really improved as a series in the later part of Pre-Split, but they really just ruined it in Post-Split. I was happy about the finale originally, but now I'm not too sure as it just felt so forced, and everyone is happy with each other which doesn't really work in a case where there's always been conflict since 11 YEARS prior. I just hope they do something about it, otherwise I don't really know what to think.
