Levitt is a gem! Trail in is rough but take your time and you will make it to the lake. Does get busy these days but i have always found a spot to camp
It's definitly worth visiting...keep in mind that it's pretty busy on weekends, so you may not find a camping spot near the water, but there are plenty of camping spots a bit away from the water.
when was this? I heard they just improved and repaired recently. Last time up I dropped my 550 pound motorcycle and cracked the case. Lucky I had my JB Weld with me and was able to patch it. Thanks for sharing the video
If I hear overlanding one more time, I just might vomit. In my day (I'm about your age) we just called it truck / jeep camping? You pick. No fancy gadgets, no GPS, no satellite phone...we just explored and camped. Technical trail? Spotter? Seriously? I've seen higher clearance AWD wagons at this exact spot. I own a Ford F250 4x4 diesel. You're making us all look like fools. Mine's a bit older, 7.3 liter with a 6 speed manual. It idles up that trail without skipping a beat.
Its all about attention seeking and consumerism now .. everyone thinks they are interesting enough to broadcast all their movements for attention and possibly a few dollars.. you cant just buy a truck now it has to be a full Swiss army rambo mobile now usually the owner doesn't even use most of the crap they bolt on.... this spot was amazing 15 years ago you could always grab a site near the lake and have relative peace.. now its burning man for Rambo truck douchebags and its a super basic dirt road in there

The older i am getting does take me longer to acclimate to the elevation!
I've been to Leavitt only this one time, and yes it's really nice.
Great video. I did a trail recently at 67psi. 12 miles later… Never again! Thank you for sharing. This is now on my HWY 395 hit list.

😀
Should've put the beer in water. 😀
Didn't think about that one
You need a small lift and 35’s my friend. I enjoy watching your videos!
This was in July...by now I have the 2022 Tremor which come with 35s from the factory

This was last week
Lee, enjoyed the video. Perhaps you might consider a three panel bash plate kit for the undercarriage of the truck. So far so good. .
Hi Jack, I have skid plates covering the bottom of the truck
Did you need the diesel heater?
Yap, just a little

We all have different experiences, what is one thing for one may be another thing for another.
