Time for a reality check!! In 1994, Ukraine agreed to transfer its nuclear arsenal to Russia and became a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of nuclear weapons, in exchange for assurances from Russia, the United States and United Kingdom to respect the Ukrainian independence and the sovereignty of its existing borders. But since those assurances have been broken by Russia and the US has refused to provide effective use of its weaponry by Ukraine to protect its borders, does Ukraine now have every legal and moral right to obtain its own nuclear weapons to protect its borders???
It definitely does. Whether or not itactually can is an entirely different question, though. A lot of international agreements seem to be coming undone of late.
Those nukes didnt belong to Ukraine they were Soviet property and belonged to Russia after the collapse.
But since those assurances have been broken by US+UK Russia decided to fix the situation by pushing NATO out of Ukraine!
@@HunnidTheTrapper02 They need a LOT of power and a clandestine enrichment facility for it to work, and I doubt they will be able to get that done in any reasonable amount of time. Currently they are outsourcing nuclear fuel production

Because the support has been half-hearted. Russia also has enormous stocks and they need to be gradually attrited. Losing terrain is not ideal but this war is not just about territory. If it was, Ukraine would be matching russia sin e theyve taken as much territory as russia this year.

Times Radio is doing a great job. While we are in grave depression for the poor situation in Ukraine, Times Radio is discovering one after wishful dream stories that makes our time happy at least for few minutes. I know it is not reliable still it is good.

After the Kursk incursion Ukrainians tried to launch another one in neighboring Belgorod region and had sustained heavily casualties and retreated. So my opinion is there isn't any place in Russia now where ukrainian army could catch russians out of guard let alone occupied territory which is heavily fortified.
Sometimes it looks like guests of The Times radio are out of reality.
The plan for Ukraine is to stress out Russia's manpower. To some extent the Kursk incursion is doing just that. We shall have to see, though, how the weather goes for the next 4 months.

Part of the negotiations for the Russian land with a vast majority of Russian speaking population that was ceded to Ukraine, was that they would NOT be treated like second class citizens by Ukrainians. But the Ukrainians treated them even worse than second class citizens. So the Ukrainians were the first to violate the terms of the agreement, not the Russians. The Russian population complained to Putin and Putin called for negotiations...but the west saw this as their chance to get rid of Putin, carve Russia up into smaller territories and scoop up the vast natural wealth of the land. And this has been the trajectory of the conflict ever since...every time Putin does something to try to bring people to the negotiating table, like retaking Crimea, the west ( U.S.) sees it as a chance to provoke and escalate. And now we are at the point where the west has escalated right up to a nuclear confrontation. I blame the west, not Putin. And as far as I can see, Putin , while not a good person, is the only one telling the truth.

@@boink800 The peace plan was negotiated and agreed by Merkel years ago, it was called The Minsk Agreement, but the West lied as usual and welshed on the agreement. If Ukraine had stopped shelling the Dombas and remained neutral none of this would ever have happened and hundreds of thousands of lives could have been saved.
