Jingles, your comment about the Akizuki player not doing anything wrong reminded me of one of Jean-Luc Picard's memorable quotes, "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life."
Akatsuki could should have known that the points were going to be against him. It’s easy to calculate based on ((total time remaining)/(time interval per points earned))*caps controlled. Akatsuki needed to contend atleast one cap for roughly 12 seconds total and would have won
In Australia, these videos come out around 8PM on a Friday night. It's great timing for Aussies moving into the weekend and is like a comfortable TV show to sit down and relax to. Thanks, Jingles.
4:59 Actually Jingles it wasn't the Sov. Soyuz (kingbarboas77_) complain about getting no help, it was the Neustrashimy (SpiK3s) on the other side of the map.
That was some excellent teamwork/chat at the end by the team, even though it didn't matter In the end with the points. I wish I'd get a team like that every 50 games lmao. Also the Admiraal player was a menace
That Admiraal was something else. Our protagonist also played very well. And this should be normal but congrats on 4 surviving ships for not trying to hunt Akizuki with their faces.
At 5:15 he's in a perfect spot to keep firing on any ships making a move round the flank. So what does he do? Advance out into open water and give broadside. Smart.
Games like that are exactly why I run the win timer mod. It displays the time to win for whichever team so you don't have to try and fry all the neurons in your head, and know when you need to fight or run and hide. I feel like that is another one of those mods that should just be part of the base game.
@@macewindu9121 google "wows modstation". that thing has lots of useful mods - including the one you were looking for, I'm sure - that are all approved by WG (some mods that aren't on modstation may get you punished for using them because WG considers them cheating and therefore a TOS violation, so only using mods that are in modstation seems safer to me than going for other sources).
I loved the Cleveland when it was tier 6. At tier 8 it leaves a few things to be desired. If the Cleveland had a heal, then it would be a decent tier 8 cruiser.
Starting the day with a Jingles vid.... I press that thumbs-up button before watching because I have a habit of not pressing the thumbs-up button on other videos. If you're asking how I'll know if I actually like the vid or not, don't worry. I have never had to remove my vote.
The Akizuki failing to defend the caps at the end I think is something they did wrong, however they shoulda kept distance to avoid getting spotted and the match probably would have ended up with the same result.. But slowing down the Cherbourg by a few seconds would have caused them to win.. But its not like they knew what was going to happen and thats a difficult scenario to be put into
Honestly the worst thing about Cherbourg imo is the abysmally bad HE in case you find no suitable targets for AP. 17% fire chance and low alpha is abysmal for a 12-inch gun, heck even Carnot armed with the same 12-inch gun has 200 more HE alpha and and 8% more fire chance at 25%, or the 35% goddamn fire chance of Brest with the 330mm guns at the next tier. Having no useable backup option really hurts your chances of getting damage unless your enemy is obliging. Other than having decently punchy AP and being decently sturdy, there isn't much positive to say about Cherbourg.
The initial gameplay in this battle was shockingly bad by the Cherbourg. On that map cruisers should go to the middle, use the island for cover against BB's and try to support their DD's in hunting enemy DD's at the start of the battle. The Cherbourg running away to the extreme flank was a way to take himself out from being effective in the early part of the battle.
I stopped playing a little bit after the Cleveland was moved from tier 6 to tier 8, so I had a moment of "wait what" when he mentioned the Cleveland as one of the best tier 8 cruisers. Imagine that ship used to be tier 6, was bumped up TWO TIERS and is still among the best-in-class for that tier.
@@slateslavens well I swear next year I am going to keep a tally on how many times Jingles mentions the Gneisanau in world of warships for the entire year.

5:00 we'll in a clanbattle and maybe on some rare occasion there might be a teammate in another battleship or he'll even the Cherbourg charge the enemies somewhat and distract them so the sowj sojus survives. I have seen that, although that was back in the CBT times when a teammate in a yamato typed in chat, I did enough tanking (with 30% hp left) and a teammate "relieved " him
I just finished grinding past the Kansas. It was a rough road. The only benefit that ship has is surprisingly fast turning speed and decent AA. That is it. Nothing else is good about it.
when Jingles posts a vid, where you know the plot and how it might end, but you HAVE to watch it to see how it's done. and it's a groaner every time...
if i were that Akizuki player, i would definitely do the same thing, and hide behind B5 or C8, and definitely curse Amagi player. Who throws here in this match on red team is debatable but in that situation an Amagi shouldn't sail like 'operation banzai-charge' style and get killed for nothing, i guess he is the one who throw the game for good.. Thanks Jingles!
You could predict the points based on intervals of gaining points and time remaining. Just disgusted in the Jutland and Amagi, the enemy team were robbed by them and an outperforming Kansas on the friendly team.
The point where they were herded into one side of the map, the enemy team was spread-out. They were easily able to group-up and mass their firepower against the enemy team as they fed themselves into the grinder one at a time. In other words, they managed to use the numbers advantage AGAINST a numerically superior force. All the enemy team would have had to do was SLOW DOWN, and approach them together and they would have won.
Ah yes, same way you try to tell us to pronounce the Dunkerque as Dung-Kirk instead of Dung-Ker-Cue Yes, Jingles is responsible for that, is he going to listen to that? Well he's an old Englishman, he's Genetically bound to screw with the French in one way or another

Clothes dryer, dishwasher, microwave? No… 🤔😡 Was it the video ?! 😳 Yes! 😤😠. At 1:20 someone swears. 🤦🏻. And then so did I. 🫤🤷🏻♂️🤣😂
It's insane to me that the Kansas is considered a bad ship on PC. It's a beast on console. But the night and day of playing PC WoW versus Legends is always gonna blow my mind lol
You could actually tell at the 1 minute mark that they were gonna win pretty clearly, at 2 minutes it wasn´t really clear at all, so yeah. Still, the Akizuki should´ve tried to disturb or sink our Cherbourg with Torps or even Gunfire if he had a Smoke left. First of all it´s just another Defender ribbon, which is valuable, and second, he could´ve ACTUALLY still won if he had done it.
Jingles I’m just wondering ever since the incident with yuro would you still feature him in a video or mention him at all because I would say he’s still one of the most fun players out there
You need the mod that puts the time to 1000 points (if nothing changes) under the scores. That mod also tells you exactly which team will win (if there are no kills or cap changes). The only time that does not work is if the points are so close that there is less than one cap tick between them and the caps are ticking out of phase with each other. Then it gets confused and flips the predicted winner with each cap tick.
Had the Akizuki got the points mod, he would have known he was gonna lose this at the end. That being said, winning in a lone Akizuki while being chased by five enemy ships on high alert because they have only one enemy to cope with and dedicate their attention to would have been very difficult... I can lose it when I have more than 2 ships against me but If I'm in a 1v1, if the enemy is not better than me in firepower, HP or skill, I can give them a run for their money. As a matter of fact, Jingles you might have seen the game I sent you the other day about a BB trolling a DD with his own smoke screen and surviving to tell the tale of a BB winning against what would have been an assured victory for the DD if he had stayed put. Poor Farragut had a taste of my 16x340 mm Lyon guns
Man, I miss the days when the remaining enemy ships would be "spotted" at the end of the match for all to see. I really wanna know if the Akizuki was behind that island.
